Chapter 116: Incoming Turbulents
'Many black and red marks,' Aleron thought as demons started entering the hall one by one. "Who are you? How did you get inside?" the Demon General under Baratos pointed his demonic dark-green mace at Aleron and Yueha, his early-stage Primeval-rank aura directing them.
"Yue, kill all those marked red and black above their heads," Aleron waved his hand as he covered the marks above the demons for Yueha to see.
Hearing his words, everyone's expression changed and they looked up, seeing red and black skull marks above them except for two demons.
"Die!" the Demon General roared as his mace glowed and he dashed towards Yueha and Aleron.
But even before he reached halfway, he was completely frozen as everyone heard a sharp whooshing sound.
*Shatter*
Everyone's heart turned cold upon seeing that the strongest among them was frozen into a popsicle and shattered just like that.
But that was just the start as Yueha's eyes gleamed. She turned into a stream of icy mist before appearing among the group of demons, instantly freezing everyone except for two demons who were at Legendary rank.
Yueha sheathed her sword and all the frozen demons shattered and scattered away into a thick mist of ice before a wind gust from Yueha cleared the mist, leaving two trembling demons whose legs turned jelly as they slumped on the ground.
Aleron sent everyone's soul inside his Hell.
"You two," Aleron said with a smile as he teleported and appeared before the two demons he spared. Both of them had yellow marks, so he read their memories first and nodded.
"Good. You care for innocent demons, but had to obey and do dirty work for your Demon King," Aleron raised both demons on their legs with his Magilore. "Ranok and Licia."
Ranok and Licia were startled and couldn't figure out how this human knew their names, but it appeared to them that he didn't want to kill them.
"Your Demon King is no longer alive. Baratos and Kalaka are dead, so don't worry."
"A-Are you the one who killed demon platoons to save the villages and towns?" Licia asked with a slight stammer.
"Indeed, he is the one," Yueha said as she walked and stood beside Aleron.
Aleron smiled at the duo and said, "I have saved them and sent over a million demons in my secret realm. I want you two to become their leaders and helm them towards a new life as you are the strongest Demons in this kingdom now."
Ranok and Licia were shocked.
"Are you telling us to become rulers of this kingdom?" Ranok hesitantly asked.
"Yes and no," Aleron said before he sighed. 'A big threat is avoided, but not completely I am feeling.'
Aleron didn't want to read the memories of Baratos and Kalaka initially, but since he knew that there was a big plan occurring about sacrificing and he wanted to know more details, he read Baratos and Kalaka's soul to gain more information and found out that someone called Demon King Narazar visited and gave them this method to summon him.
He learned about the Netherworld and Demonic Source that could connect to a Netherworld, so letting the demons stay in the demonic continent was not safe. His secret realm was massive with plenty of space, so he also got an idea that would benefit him in the near future while giving peace to the demons.
"I want you two to move into my secret realm and make a new world there. I will give you a separate island that you can turn into a Demonic Island and prosper there," Aleron smiled. "What do you think?"
"B-but why?" Licia fearfully asked, unable to believe that a human was willing to help demons to this extent. There have to be some ulterior motives, right?
"You are a human, so why?..." Ranok said, also not understanding Aleron's motive.
Yueha wanted to say something but stopped and smiled. 'Master will make them understand better.'
"Why?" Aleron tilted his head in confusion. "Let me ask you, why do you care for demons, unlike your Demon King who was willing to sacrifice?"
"That...because sacrificing innocents is cruel. It's not good," Licia hesitantly answered.
Aleron smiled and nodded, "Yep. Because you have empathy for innocents and you are kind, unlike others that I killed."
"As for me being a human? Haha," Aleron shook his head. "Even if I was born demon, or beastfolk, or any other race, I would do the same as I am doing right now."
'Mhmm,' Aleron nodded.
...
Meanwhile, Demon Lord Narazar's avatar also arrived in the Northern region of the demonic
continent to check the progress of his summoning.
Although only his avatar was here, he was still a powerhouse of Ascension rank, and that too
an Akuma with a powerful Bloodline at Divine rank, which was why he was ranked 61st despite being an early-stage Ascension-rank powerhouse.
His soul sense was powerful enough to cover the entire demonic continent and it wasn't long before he discovered Aleron.
As his avatar floated above the Northern Demon Kingdom-Letuvia, the Demon King quickly arrived and bowed before him upon sensing his aura.
"Demon Lord, the work is progressing swiftly. Ruthar and I have each gathered five hundred thousand demons from our kingdoms and are gathering them at the sacrificial site." Narazar plainly nodded while he was busy looking at Aleron, a frown appearing on his face,
"So the humans interrupt the demon kings in the western region. But where did all the
demons go from there?"
Suddenly, Narazar's eyes flickered as he arched his head upward and saw a golden-silver spark manifesting before Elysia Gothwing appeared in her gorgeous white dress.
"What are you planning?" Narazar narrowed his eyes.
"I am no longer the sole competitor for this planet," Elysia smiled. "The guy you just observed is the second one. I am just here to tell you that I am no longer interfering in this
planet."
"Do whatever you want," Elysia dropped her last words before vanishing, not bothering to entertain any conversation. 'Fight against Aleron, so I can see what extent of powers he got. Your desperation makes you a perfect candidate to knock senses into that foolish guy's head.'
Meanwhile, Narazar was confused. 'Is she planning on giving up on this round of Cosmic ascension competition?'
Shaking his head, he didn't bother thinking about that and decided to focus on his plan as his
eyes turned sharp and ferocious.
The Demon King was confused as to what was happening but didn't voice anything out
regarding it and asked, "What should I do, Demon Lord?"
"Since she is not going to interfere then I don't need to prepare a way to block her from
interrupting my summoning," Narazar's eyes glinted. "Initiating my summoning as soon as you've gathered demons at your sacrificial site."
...
Meanwhile, something crazy was going to happen in the Lightdusk continent, at the central
Lightdusk region.
This region was called strongest on the continent because the goddess church had five
powerhouses at Primeval rank, all of them labeled Holy Warriors who usually spent time training in the battlefield zone to improve and acquire resources for their progress.
As the war was nearing and times seemed turbulent, the five of them returned upon getting
contacted by the Holy Pope.
Unfortunately, despite being called Holy Warriors, they weren't decent human beings, with much innocent blood on their hands.
Their return only indicated more suffering for others.
