It seemed that most of the liches were busy trying to create others of them. Perhaps the operation of giving them that purple crystal in the place of their heart and that gas treatment was enough to turn the new ones into loyal soldiers. Still, Jake was certain that a boss was supposed to be somewhere, and yet, he couldn't find it. The place was massive, so he would have to look for a while and he might run into the liches and then things will get out of hand.
"I should get rid of the leader before the others liches try to gang up on me… But how can I find them in this place?" Jake wondered.
It would be nice if all of the liches could return to normal after Jake defeats their master, but he knew that reality couldn't be that simple.
"I don't know what it will happen to the people in the middle of the surgery, but I guess I will take out the liches while they are busy," Jake thought. "I can't find their leader yet, so I should decrease their forces in the meantime."
It would be a pity if the prisoners died, but Jake couldn't wait for another chance. It would be too risky since hundreds of them were under surgery and were on those capsules. Eventually, their army would probably triplicate in size, and no strategy would be enough for Jake to win against them with his current strength.
Fortunately, the operation room was apart from each other with some walls made of magic, and they were also thirty meters away. So, Jake could take them down one at a time without making much noise, as long as he could fire two arrows in a span of half-second that would hit two enemies since, in each operation room, they had two liches.
"I am not the most confide t when it comes to those skills, but I don't have to rush, they are busy working on the surgeries," Jake thought.
Mana Blade won't do it since the skill could easily cut the necks of the liches, so they also could hit the walls and alert the others. Jake couldn't control the power of those, so he had no choice but to use the bow.
Little by little, Jake approached his first targets, who were working on their tasks. While he wasn't afraid of a fight or of them, Jake still was a bit anxious. He disliked making mistakes, after all, even when he could solve them later.
In any case, Jake confirmed that he could summon two arrows, even without firing the first, so he prepared the second to draw it as soon as possible. After that, he used Apollo's Blessing and then prepared to shoot when he was thirty meters away from the target. Even with his clear intention of killing both of them, the liches never realized that he was so close. In any case, when Jake felt that he wouldn't miss the shoot, he loosed the first arrow and then immediately fired the second.

Even Jake got a bit surprised when the arrows pierced the heads of the enemies through their ears with that fearsome precision. He knew that he had to thank Apollo's Blessing for that, but even so… Nevertheless, the bodies fell, making little noise. They were only wearing their dark cloaks, after all.
Without wasting time, Jake began to move after selecting his next targets. It was a pity that the walls were blocking his eyesight, so he could only fire his arrows from certain angles, but those walls were what was preventing the other liches from noticing his attacks, so he couldn't complain.
Somehow, Jake managed to pull that off several times in a row without failing a single time or alerting the other enemies. Still, his lucky streak was bound to end at some point, and it ended when he heard the sound of a table being moved when he was approaching the next targets.
When the liches found Jake, they opened their eyes due to the surprise. In that short window of time, Jake summoned an arrow and fired. The other guy opened his mouth to shout, but then Jake put an arrow there as well.

For someone who had thought that he had no talent when it comes to bows, that sure happened perfectly… not even half a second had passed between the moment the enemies saw him and Jake fired the arrows, and both of them died instantly.
"Some times, my awesomeness scares me…" Jake thought and then sighed.
Jake wondered what he should do with the newly created lich, but since he was unconscious, he decided to leave him alone. He might have to change his decision later, but right now, he had to deal with the real threats. The ones that could alert the others and could fight. Most likely, the capsules were used to improve the magic and bodies of the new liches, so the new ones could be left alone for the time being.
Since he was being careful, Jake had killed a few hundred liches in a couple of hours without being found. Still, he could only do so much since it was clear that the liches weren't just making new ones with their weird surgery. Eventually, dozens of them came from the other side of the hideout and noticed that something was off… The faint smell of blood in the air alerted them.
Jake somehow noticed that the atmosphere had changed. Even without realizing that some liches had approached and felt that, his senses alerted him to the danger. With that in mind, he put his bow away and equipped his sword before he carefully headed toward the entrance of the dungeon. He also hid himself in the first operation room that he had found. When the enemies approached, ready to fight, he gave them what they wanted.
