Chapter 275 Endless Worries (1)

All of a sudden, Jake opened his eyes, and he realized that it was morning. That dream… It had been way beyond anything that he had expected. Things were starting to make sense now. No wonder he felt so pissed at the guild masters… The memories of that body were that strong. However, Jake knew that something was off… Because in his first dream, he saw the previous owner of that body being destroyed alongside a planet by some sort of shadow. How come that body was still intact after that?

Master Chief: it grants you the power to steal something from the target when killing them, be it parameters, skills, or even memories.

The new skill was also there, but Jake didn't feel even a little bit happy about that. He could feel the anger inside him growing, he still was himself, but he couldn't imagine what would happen if he saw those guild masters. Something inside him was changing a bit faster than before. He didn't know if it was his own feelings, feelings created by those memories, or feelings that the owner of that body once had... either way, it was very annoying and being confused wasn't helping Jake.

"I can feel it… Another will grow stronger inside me," Jake said. "Since he was me, I can tell that his anger is very powerful… I don't know if he experienced the same things as well, but I can tell that the things that he despised and hated are the same as mine."

Before Jake could anymore about that, he suddenly felt his crystal wolves grunting… Someone had approached. Jake was pretty sure that everyone had similar dreams tonight, and most likely, everyone woke up at the same time. So, the guys outside were the guild masters. Only Frederick was supposed to know where Jake was and considered what he told the others, he wasn't planning to let any animosity between them, but it seemed that the dream changed his mind.

"I can't recover the herbs without risking a fight. Unlike the owner of this body, I can't face so many people at the level of that badly right now…" Jake thought.

Fortunately, for situations like that, Jake had some samples of herbs in his magic boxes. He will have to abandon his base, but it couldn't be helped. Before fighting with those guys, he should understand what had happened and unravel the other mysteries.

Planet Sade - Mission: Clear the revengeful apes' dungeon. Reward:80.000 coins, 8000 fame, and a class.

Planet YLP- 548 - Mission: Clear the Crystal Wolves' dungeon. Reward: 100.000 coins, 10.000 fame, and a class.

Planet Gnuna - Mission: Clear the Humanoid Snakes dungeon in four days. Reward:120.000 coins, 12.000 fame, and a special weapon.

Planet Honope - Mission: Clear the Electric Avian dungeon in six days. Reward:140.000 coins, 14.000 fame, and a class.

Planet Aeliv - Mission: Obtain a base by destroying one of the others and protect it for ten days. Reward: 250.000 coins, 25.000 fame, Dungeon Core, and a magic weapon.

The nature of the missions changed again, and the rewards as well. Jake never imagined that he would get a dungeon core, and having one seemed like a waste when he wasn't planning world domination. In any case, he could find other uses for it later. Jake selected the mission and then was teleported to another world alongside his crystal wolves.

Some people clicked their tongues in annoyance outside Jake's house when they saw the crystal wolves disappearing… Jake had noticed their arrival and selected a mission to escape.

"He is truly cautious… But not nearly as bloodthirsty as we recall," Milena said. "Are they the same person? I felt so much Familiarity with my other shelf… While ur seems that he isn't acting like that king."

"Those memories are fresh, so he must feel some familiarity as well…" Frederick said. "However, the experience of the current soul of that body is stronger. We missed our chance to prevent a big problem…"

"I would say that he had the same dream as us. Do you two agree?" Hugo asked. "We lived a good part of that day, and we woke up at the same time, so he must have experienced the same thing."

"Yeah…" Frederick said. "We have to put an order to stop or kill him if he resists to all of our groups. His power is too dangerous, just like his actions and memories. It is only a matter of time before he decides to rule our species again with an iron rule. We can't leave someone that dangerous running around freely."

"It seems that your plan backfired, Frederick," Milena said. "You helped those guys to help him, but it seems that your change of behavior will only look suspicious to them. What are you going to do?"

"I will reveal the truth to them. That should be enough," Frederick replied.

"What if it isn't?" Milena asked.

"I will cross that bridge when the time comes," Frederick said and then teleported back to his base.

"... Tell the others to stay on alert and not engage him alone," Hugo said. "With his power, he will only become troublesome if he gets one of our skills. We have to attack him with as many guild masters as possible."

"... How do you think that dream is going to end?" Milena asked after some seconds of silence.

"I don't know… But it seemed that the other us had several plans up their sleeve," Hugo replied. "I would say that he is much cornered… He probably doesn't know what our innate skills can do, after all."

"Putting that aside, don't you think that it is weird that we all had the same type of dream? It seems that my members had some sort of dream that they were in some important battles, but we weren't there." Milena said.

"... I think we will understand why soon enough," Hugo said.
