Since Gravity and Fly would be essential for Leon and Darya, both of them practiced only those spells for a week until they reached level forty. The flying speed improved the more Fly leveled up, but they couldn't forget that they had other goals. Leon wanted to learn Slow, and Darya needed to create that new metal.
Slow would certainly help Leon, making himself faster and decrease the speed of an enemy would make the battles much easier… even though the cost of mana would be insane. However, he would have to touch the target to activate Slow, and that was a severe drawback. While Leon was thinking of that, he noticed the forest on that island, all in all, the plants of Miebos weren't much different than the ones on Earth. But since that planet was on the second stage of assimilation, he wondered if the planets suffered some kind of mutation. Although Leon and Darya's hands were already busy harvesting, blue, red, and green angel leaves, it wasn't a bad idea to search for more types of useful plants.
"As far as I know, when we reached the second stage of assimilation, the plants didn't change all that much," Darya said.
Although Leon doubted of Darya's knowledge since she only had three hours of memories of each day of the last ten years, soon he forgot about it. He didn't see any plants when he was flying over that massive city, after all. Besides, since the government strengthened their forces by increasing their magic knowledge, there was no way to apply thinks like poisonous plants to spells, at least not in an effective way.
"Well, even though I won't be able to replicate skills like Sleep Power, using poisons won't be that effective either. At least, non-magical poisons…"
Leon could probably learn a spell similar to Sleep Powder, but it would be weird if he could replicate an animal and create those kinds of spores. Anyway, after forgetting about that minor problem, Leon focused on learning Slow. Since he already knew the logic behind the spell, he just had to practice. After two weeks, he received that notification.
Congratulations! You have learned the skill: Slow.
Cost: 20 mana per second

"Ha! Take that you little piece of shit!" Darya shouted and then threw something on the sand.
Leon didn't even have time to celebrate. It looked like a failure after failure messed with Darya's mind. Although she looked a bit older, her mind was still of a teenager thanks to the fact that her memories had been erased over and over again. So, that kind of behavior couldn't be helped. However, contrary to Leon's expectations, Darya didn't act like that because she was sick of that, but because she finally succeeded. Leon saw the small piece of crystal-like metal, its color was light-blue, and he could feel a lot of mana coming from it. However, Leon couldn't analyze it.
"What was the trick behind it?" Leon asked.
"Instead of creating a random metal, I thought of condensing my mana in a single point," Darya explained. "After concentrating a lot of mana in a single point, that thing appeared."
"Ah… so it is a metal that it is born after huge amounts of mana concentrate in a single place." Leon nodded. "It doesn't sound so complicated, why wouldn't the other people of this world discover something like this?"
"I have no idea… maybe because the cost of mana is stupid?" Darya said. "I had to spend one thousand points of mana to create a single gram of that… Besides, there is always a chance that my grandfather decided to stop researching this kind of material. I can already imagine how powerful weapons creating this kind of metal can become, and even though it would strengthen our world, it also would give a chance to someone to overthrow him."
"I see… there is also a chance that he received a weapon like that from the Trent or the undead Trent's master, too." Leon nodded. "The people of this world are managing to stop the harvesters, for the time being, right? So, they don't feel worried about researching something they don't know that actually exists."
"That is right," Darya said.
Although the theory was simple, Leon had to practice for a few days how to condense his mana in a single spot. The good side was, once he controls his mana to that extent, the rest was quite easy, and since they had a nearly infinite supply of blue angel leaves, mana wasn't exactly a problem. That being said... Leon had to use the entire stock of leaves he and Darya consumed in a single day to create a single dagger.

Leon frowned when he saw that the dagger was way too powerful, and considering he just worked for a few hours. He didn't expect to receive those notifications.
"Ah… I should have created a ring." Leon said.
"Then why the hell did you create a dagger?" Darya asked.
"… Probably because the first weapon I had ever made using magic alone was a dagger." Leon said. "That doesn't explain much, though…"
"You are completely right," Darya added.
Still, such a thing didn't matter since both of them knew now how to make weapons made of a mythical material.
