Chapter 491 - A High Level Of Trust In You

Liu Longwei smiled as he gazed into her eyes. When he saw she wasn't faking it, he decided to explain further because he was kind of serious about it.

"The only way I will accept your debt is if you pay me in kind. If you that, then there will be no problem. After I touched you yesterday in a long time, I discovered that I've been missing a lot, and I don't want to feel that way again."

"Okay. Our food is getting cold so let's hurry up." Chen Lihua said as she stuffed some food into her mouth.

Liu Longwei smiled, for he knew she had already accepted his conditions.

"Is it not too early to drink the Champagne?." Chen Lihua asked in surprise.

"It's our day. I just want you to have a little taste of it." Liu Longwei said to her as he popped the Champagne and poured half a glass ???? before handing it to her.

"Thank you!." Chen Lihua said with a smile. 

When he was done filling his glass, they clinked their glasses and toasted to 'Many Happy Year's Ahead'.

After breakfast, Madam Liu arrived. She bought some colorful toys that were befitting for newborns. Chen Lihua didn't know what to say.

As if that wasn't enough, Madam Liu handed the extra bag by her side to her. "These are some beauty products and jewelry, you don't have to worry, they are not that expensive."

Chen Lihua took the bag from her with a happy smile on her face as she thanked her.

"Don't thank me, you deserve it. Just make sure to take care of yourself and the baby. As for Longwei..." Madam Liu trailed off as she glanced at her approaching son.

Then, she continued, "He can take care of himself. I'm sure he loves you so much that he wouldn't want to see you worked up. Right son?."

She asked Liu Longwei who was staring at her with an amused expression on his face.

"Mum, how did I offend you?." Liu Longwei asked as Chen Lihua chuckled softly from the side.

"You didn't offend me. I'm just trying to make you a responsible husband." Madam Liu said with a smirk on her face.

"Thanks, Mum for your help, but Lihua and I will settle this matter ourselves. Lihua will take care of the baby and me. While  I will take care of her and the baby in return. Perfect!." Liu Longwei said.

"I see. Lihua dear, do you accept it? If you don't, I will bring justice for you." Madam Liu asked as she glanced at Chen Lihua.

"Mum, I accept whatever Longwei says." Chen Lihua replied before hurrying away with a blush on her face.

She didn't know if this mother and son were collaborating to bully her this morning. She didn't know if it was intentional, but she had to escape before it was too late.

"Look at your wife, she is such a good person. Make sure you take care of her and avoid anything that will bring tears to her eyes." Madam Liu advised him with a serious look on her face.

"Mum trust me, I wouldn't do anything to intentionally hurt my wife, so you can rest assured." Liu Longwei promised.

"That means your actions could still hurt her if it's not intentional. If it's so, then you need to tread carefully. I indeed have a high level of trust in you, but... I can't trust you fully because you are human, and humans are bound to make mistakes, nobody is perfect. But I just want you to always keep your family happy. I don't ever want to see tears in Lihua's face, tears caused by you. Son, do you understand?."

"Yes mother, I understood everything you said." Liu Longwei replied.

"Good! Where is my grandson?." Madam Liu inquired as she looked around.

"He's upstairs, still asleep". Liu Longwei replied.

"Wrong! This little guy has been awake and playing by himself. And when he saw me, he smiled, and then went back to playing again." Chen Lihua said as she walked forward with the baby in her arms.

"As young as he is, he's already so smart. I'm proud of him. He really did inherit his parent's IQ." Madam Liu said as Chen Lihua placed the baby in her arms.

"Sweet little boy, did you miss grandma?." Madam Liu asked as she smiled at the little guy who was giving her a scrutinizing gaze.

Seconds later, the little guy smiled at her as he fiddled with his fists and rubbed his legs together.

"Good boy! That's more like it." Madam Liu said as she played with him.

"Mum, I'm going to sleep for a while, Taio did not allow me to get enough sleep last night." Chen Lihua said with furrowed brows.

"Go, my dear, I'm here to take care of him. You really need to get enough sleep because of your schedule today." Madam said in agreement.

"Thank you, Mum." Chen Lihua said to her before patting Liu Longwei's shoulder as she walked past him.

"Mum, I'm going with her as well. If the baby is, hungry, you can come and find me in the study. But if you don't see me there, then just know I'm still in Lihua's bedroom. You can knock on it as well." Liu Longwei said to his mother.

"Alright! You need to rest as well since the baby disturbed your sleep last night. Go ahead." Madam Liu said to her with a kind smile on her face.

Liu Longwei peeked at his little boy before fiddling with his cute tiny fingers with a smile on his face.

Feeling the touch on his fingers, the little guy traced the big fingers holding his tiny ones, till he came to stare at his father's face.

"See you..." Liu Longwei said to him and he received a smile in response. Then, he walked away satisfactorily.

"Wei, your parents have gone to take a nap, so you are here with grandma. And grandma bought you beautiful toys. Great Grandma is extending her greetings to you. She will come to see you soon, okay....?."

Madam Liu kept talking to her grandchild with smiles on her face.
