CH 527

I was on my way to talk to Vertical and the others when I came across a group of dragons. I wondered why they were here, but before I could think about that, I called out to the man to solve the situation at hand.

“How much is it ……?”

“You’re really Lars-sama’s acquaintance, huh. Fifty-six skewers will cost you five thousand six hundred beryls, will you pay for them?”

“Well, I can’t just overlook it. Here.”

“Well, that’s just right. You guys, don’t bother Lars-sama too much, okay?”

The Freeze Dragon nodded as he chewed on a skewer, and as the uncle walked away, the onlookers moved away, saying, “What, so they know Lars-sama.”. That happened before, but isn’t it too much ……?

Anyway, I have to ask why the dragons are here.

“Roza, why are you in the Royal Capital?”

“…… I asked the wrong way, I’m aking why are they off the island?”

“And it looks like everyone’s here except for the royal dragon ……”

“I thought you didn’t like people?”

Makina put her hands on her hips and made an astonished sound, while Sephiro tilted his head and looked around at the dragons, and the Grand Dragon swallowed a skewer and opened his mouth. 

“I’m thankful for that, but how many days do you think have passed since then? We’ve already finished the first wave.”

The Storm Dragon slumped his shoulders and let out a sigh before explaining the situation to us, he said that they decided to help us a few days after we left the island, and that they arrived this morning after taking a long time to prepare.

“I’m grateful and happy, but why so late? And even if you “prepare,” you just have to come over, don’t you?”

“What?”

When the Freeze dragon unfolded the bag he was carrying, it contained a large number of fangs and claws.

“Is this a dragon’s fangs and claws!?”

As I mumbled to myself, I felt something that I couldn’t quite put my finger on, and a Storm Dragon with a skewer called out to me from behind.

“That’s right, of the members who went to that island, aren’t we and Milfy the only ones in the royal capital?   Oh, Helena went there only once too.”

At Makina’s words, the dragons fell silent, looking disappointed. Even the cool-headed Roza and the Freeze Dragon had mixed expressions on their faces, indicating that the training had been a lot of fun.

I could show them the way to the town of Gust later, so for now we headed to Retzel’s mansion to fulfill our first goal.

“This is Lars, is Basleigh-sensei here?”

“Yes, yes! Are you bringing me food?”

“Uwah!?”

As if she was waiting for me on the other side of the door, the front door opened and I stepped back, letting the bright-eyed Basleigh-sensei know the reality of the situation.

“No, I’ve already had my breakfast. Are Vertical and the others awake?”

“No breakfast!? I don’t remember raising you that way, you know!?”

“What!? Basleigh said “Lars was coming”, so I waited without eating! Are you going to let this mother starve to death ……Isshishishi ……”

“No, I don’t want you to pretend to be my mother …… I’ll make something for lunch, but I’d like to talk to you first.”

“Here you go.”

“You’re still changing attitudes so quickly, aren’t you …….”

I can’t imagine her being able to compete on equal terms with the demons, seeing as how Basleigh-sensei opened the way for me and bowed down to me so respectfully. Ryuuze and the others said she’s very powerful, though.

I want to get inside as soon as possible because I’m tired, but then Roza said something unnecessary.

“Ohhhhhhhhh, you beautiful woman! That’s quite a thing to say as a greeting, what is it with the strange women? Get out of here!”

“Calm down, Basleigh, we’re outside. Don’t provoke her too, Roza, at “present”, she’s as strong as we are.”

When Fath-san said this to Roza while holding back the agitated Basleigh-sensei, her eyebrows moved slightly, and then she raised the corner of her mouth in a smile.

“That’s exactly what I want! If you want, we can start now–“

“Teacher, even though she looks like this, she’s a dragon, just like Sarge, so you’d better not.”

“Then I won’t! Quickly, come inside the house!”

“She dodged it!?”

The change of attitude was so quick that even Roza was thrown for a loop. Well, Roza provoked her, so she didn’t mind it and went inside. 

When I walked to the living room, I found Vertical and Eiiri relaxing, and as I approached them, they noticed me and tried to stand up, but I stopped them with my hand.

“Ah, you can just remain sitting.”

‘Really? I’ll do that then. Anyway, what are you doing here so early in the morning?”

“It’s about the trip to Berias, we need to arrange things and set a date, don’t we?”

“Ahh, that. What do you think, Vertical?”

“Well, I have a plan in mind. You have Hitzrite here, right? We’ll use him.”

“Use him?”

I listened to Vertical’s plan, which seemed to have some concrete ideas.
