Chapter 150 - Break the World Record

Tiger and Drake were both dead.

Mr. Stardust drew a pistol from the drawer. He disengaged the safety on his phone and pushed open the door. Instantly, he was hit by the stench of blood.

That's when Mr. Stardust was confronted with a horrific sight.

Dozens of bodyguards throughout the villa, including Drake and Tiger, had been slaughtered.

“Who's there?” Mr. Stardust's eyes blazed with fury at the sight. They were all his brothers.

“Who I am doesn't matter. What matters is that you're marked for death.” Accompanying the chilling voice, the water in the swimming pool transformed into an Aqua Drake that coiled around Mr. Stardust. Then, the water rapidly solidified, encasing him in ice.

Mr. Stardust instantly understood why.

He should never have lusted after the panacea of the Immortals Retreat!

Such prowess belonged to the divine.

What could he, a mere mortal with strength, do against that?

They could snuff out his life in a heartbeat.

Shortly after Ye Hao departed, dozens of police cars converged on the scene. The officers were met with a sight beyond belief.

Mr. Stardust had become an ice sculpture.

The Martial Arts Bureau took over the investigation.

After their initial findings, they passed the case to the Supernatural Bureau.

Xiao Ming, upon reviewing the case, reached out to Ye Hao.

Ye Hao offered no denial.

Once Xiao Ming understood the motive, he directed the Martial Arts Bureau to dismantle Mr. Stardust's influence in Glento.

The following day, the police launched a major crackdown on the criminal syndicate.

Nearly all of Mr. Stardust's underlings were apprehended.

The transformation of Mr. Stardust into an ice sculpture became the talk of the town. Coupled with the earlier incident involving Zhang Jinsong, it wasn't hard for people to piece together the sequence of events.

It appeared that Zhang Jinsong's boss had made his move.

Ultimately, Zhang Jinsong's boss, after eliminating so many, not only remained unscathed but also had the authorities' support in wiping out Mr. Stardust's empire.

This only added layers to the mystery surrounding Ye Hao.

As Glento's elite speculated about Ye Hao's identity, he, donning the Riverdale College uniform, made his way to the sports field.

Today marked the day of the Riverdale College Autumn Sports Festival.

“Could everyone please witness this for us?” Ye Hao summoned all the boys participating in the shot put event.

With the boys as witnesses, Ye Hao reiterated the stakes of the bet.

If either Ye Hao or Xie Fen reneged on their word, he would be scorned by everyone.

“Bro, you've really got nerve.”

“You might not realize that Meixue is desperate for a boyfriend. If you confess to her, she'll cling to you for sure.”

Ye Hao gave a slight smile and said, “That's what makes it a real challenge.”

“Ye Hao, I can't wait to see you confess to Meixue publicly,” Xie Fen said with a grin.

“Don't you think it's a bit premature to be saying that?” Ye Hao shot a glance at Xie Fen.

“You're bound to lose anyway,” Xie Fen scoffed.

“Why would I propose such a bet if I couldn't follow through?” Ye Hao looked at Xie Fen with a mix of pity and amusement. “I must say, I'm concerned about your intelligence.”

“You're just trying to intimidate me.”

Ye Hao just smiled and refrained from further conversation with Xie Fen.

Each person had three attempts at the shot put, with their best throw counting as their final score.

The first student threw 13 meters, then 14 meters, and finally 12 meters, making his best and final score 14 meters.

After each student had their turn, it was finally Ye Hao's turn.

Holding the shot put, he looked into the distance and remarked, “Teacher, this sandpit is too close.”

“You're nearly 20 meters away from the edge of the sandpit,” the teacher responded with a hint of exasperation.

“I'm aiming for a 30-meter distance,” Ye Hao declared, stepping back roughly 10 meters.

“This should do.” As soon as he finished speaking, Ye Hao launched the shot put in a soaring arc that shot forward.

Both the teacher and the onlooking students were stunned by where the shot put landed.

“How can that be?”

“That must be around 30 meters.”

“He's broken the world record with such ease.”

After the initial shock subsided, the teacher quickly instructed two students to measure the distance of Ye Hao's throw.

“30.8 meters.” The proctor was astounded upon hearing this figure.

Ye Hao had shattered the world record.

The proctor was convinced that if this result were reported to the General Administration of Sport, they would undoubtedly extend a special invitation to Ye Hao.
