Chapter 113 Hush Little Prey [Bonus ]

Villain Ch 113. Hush Little Prey

The guild leader and his companions immediately sprang into action, readying their weapons and scanning their surroundings for any sign of danger. They looked in all directions, searching for any clues that might reveal the source of the attack. But to their surprise, there was no sign of any attackers. No monsters lurking in the shadows or waiting to pounce.

Confused and on high alert, they approached the bushes where they had seen the player disappear. As they drew closer, their apprehension grew, wondering if they would find themselves ambushed by some unknown enemy.

But what they discovered was even more shocking. Lying in the bushes was the lifeless body of the player they had seen being dragged away. The guild leader's heart sank as he realized that they had arrived too late to save the poor player.

Perplexed and disoriented, they searched the surrounding area for any signs of a monster or attacker. But to their surprise, there was nothing there. No monsters, no players other than their own members, and no signs of a struggle.

"What the hell just happened?" muttered the guild leader in confusion.

They stood over the lifeless body, stunned and confused by what they had just witnessed.

Quickly, they examined the body for any clues, they noticed something strange as the body was fading away. But then, one of the guild's higher-ups pointed out something that sent a chill down their spines.

"Look!" he exclaimed, pointing to a wound on the player's body. "Isn't that the devil emperor's dark aura?"

The guild leader leaned in for a closer look, their eyes widening in horror. He knelt down and examined the wound more closely, his heart pounding in his chest. "It is..." he finally admitted, standing up calmly. "The devil emperor is here." There was no mistaking it, the dark aura that emanated from the wound was unmistakably that of the dreaded devil emperor.

Murmurs rippled through the guild members, some sounding scared, others excited.

Despite the goosebumps and excitement coursing through his veins, the guild leader did not look surprised. He knew that the devil emperor and his subordinates could randomly appear on high-level maps like this one. It was a testament to their power and cunning, and the guild leader knew that they would have to be prepared for whatever came their way.

The guild leader turned around to face his guild members, a look of fierce determination etched onto his face. He knew that they were in for a fight, but he was not one to back down from a challenge.

"Get ready, everyone," he said in a voice that brooked no argument. "We're going to start hunting the devil emperor," he said confidently. He wasn't sure that they could win, but the prize for defeating the devil emperor was too great to refuse. Besides, this was the best opportunity to find out the emperor's weakness or attack pattern. He was an AI, and although it was an advanced one, it should have a pattern.

His members looked at him with a mixture of fear and excitement, knowing that they were in for a difficult battle.

"We need to be cautious," he continued, his eyes scanning the surrounding area for any sign of danger.

The guild leader's words were met with a chorus of nods and murmurs of agreement. They knew that the devil emperor was not to be trifled with, but they also knew that their guild leader was one of the strongest and most skilled players in the game. So they decided to follow him to this crazy battle.

But when they were about to move to hunt the devil emperor, suddenly, fifty black lances appeared above them. The guild members looked up in horror, realizing too late what was about to happen.

"Look out!" the guild leader shouted, and they all scrambled to dodge the incoming attack.

The lances rained down on them. With lightning-fast reflexes, the guild members swung their weapons and shields to deflect the incoming lances. Some of them managed to brush them off, but others were not so lucky. Some of the lances managed to penetrate their armor and strike them. A few members cried out in pain, but they gritted their teeth and continued to fight back, brushing the lances off.

Once the guild members recovered from the initial surprise attack, a chilling male voice filled the air.

"HA HA HA HA!" It was the sound of evil laughter, echoing through the forest and sending shivers down their spines. They didn't know where it was coming from, and that only added to their sense of unease.

The guild members immediately pressed their backs together, their eyes scanning the surrounding area for any sign of danger. Their weapons were ready in their hands. They knew that they were in a dangerous situation, and they were ready to protect their injured comrades and the healers who were working to heal them with their skills. Some of them quickly reached for their potions and gulped them down, hoping to give themselves an extra boost of strength and heal their wounds.

Suddenly, a male eerie voice echoed through the forest, singing a nursery rhyme with twisted lyrics. The guild members could feel the hairs on the back of their necks standing on end as they listened to the haunting melody.

"Hush little prey, don't you cry…" the voice sang. The guild members felt a chill run down their spines at the emperor's voice. It was a voice that they knew all too well, a voice that had struck fear into their hearts and churned their guts.

Once the voice disappeared, they could feel something hovering above their heads again. They looked up to see dozens of black orbs hovering above them, glowing with ominous energy.

"The hunter's coming, he's very sly…" the Emperor sang again, his voice growing louder and more menacing. This time, the nursery rhyme ended with the black orbs descending upon the guild members with deadly force.
