Villain Ch 123. Sneaky Girl
The message made him raise an eyebrow in surprise. He wasn't expecting that question, especially from Zoe. He turned his gaze towards her and noticed that her face was flushed and nervous.
He couldn't help but wonder why Zoe couldn't bring herself to ask him openly. Perhaps, she was intimidated by the presence of the others. Or maybe, she was just shy. Whatever the reason, Allen knew that he had to make her feel comfortable enough to speak up.
Quickly, he replied to the message. His hands move quickly on the virtual keyboard. A frown on his forehead.
[Azazel: I don't mind. But why did you ask via private message? Your mom is here, she will find out sooner or later.]
As soon as she saw the message, Zoe's heart raced. Her fingers trembled nervously as she typed, feeling like she was about to commit a crime. Zoe replied.
[Abyssia: I have another VR device. Just call it for a night and I'll give it to you in your room.]
Allen's eyes flicked to Zoe once again, sensing her nervousness. He could see that she was doing something perfectly normal but felt embarrassed about it. He didn't want to see her so nervous, so he decided to encourage her to speak openly about it once again.
[Azazel: You know you can tell me this openly, right? Just like Vivian and Larissa?]
Zoe fell silent as she read Allen's message. She knew he was right, but it still felt wrong to her.
[Abyssia: I know. But that sounds so wrong.]
Allen's frown deepened as he read Zoe's message. He didn't understand why Zoe felt this way.
[Azazel: Why? I don't see anything wrong with that. It was my request anyway, I'm the one who should be ashamed of that.]
Zoe was left speechless by Allen's response. She knew that he was right, but she still couldn't shake the feeling of guilt. It was as if she was doing something wrong.
Seeing Zoe's expression, Allen let out a long sigh. He could remember how nervous Zoe was from their meeting at the coffee shop earlier. She was very different from Shea. Simply, it was her personality.
With a deep breath, he began to type out a message in response. He tried to choose his words carefully, hoping to reassure Zoe that he didn't judge her for her request.
[Azazel: Sorry for being insensitive. I will follow your plan.]
As he hit send, he watched as Zoe's expression softened, and a smile spread across her face. He couldn't help but feel relieved that he had managed to put her at ease.
[Abyssia: Thank you. I'll be in your room in half an hour. We will meet in my chamber (in-game) after that.]
[Azazel: Okay.]
Without hesitation, Allen agreed to her request. He knew that there was a chance that others might find out since they already put him on the friend list. Regardless, he decided to grant her request.
Allen closed the chat box and breathed out a deep sigh. He put on his usual expression. With a sense of duty, he turned to the others and spoke with a calm tone, "I need to go now. Good night everyone. See you tomorrow."
The team members responded with farewells, and Allen logged off from the game. He removed his VR headset, and the sensation of leaving the game world behind was almost palpable.
The virtual world disappeared and reality came back into focus. He was back in Shea's gaming room, which was dimly lit with a soft glow emanating from the colorful room light. He blinked a few times to adjust his eyes to the dim light and looked around.
Allen's gaze then drifted towards his teammates. Shea was sitting on her gaming chair, her legs crossed and her arms rested on her lap. Zoe was sitting beside him, her VR headset in her hand. The two girls also seemed to be recovering from their virtual journey.
He got up from his chair and felt his muscles protest in discomfort. He knew he needed to stretch, as he had been sitting in the same position for hours. So, he began stretching, his arms extending above his head. He repeated this a few times, feeling his muscles loosen up a little bit.
Shea noticed Allen's tired expression and offered him some snacks. "Hey, want some snacks? You look like you could use a little boost after that intense battle," she offered.
But Allen politely declined her offer. "Thanks, but I think I'll pass. It's getting late. I need to go back to my room," he said. "Also, rather than snacks, I need to borrow a phone charger. I don't bring mine," he added.
Zoe saw this as her opportunity to speak up. "You can borrow mine," she offered. With this, she had a good reason to come to his room.
eαglesnovel`c,om Allen smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Zoe. I appreciate it."
"One more thing, Allen," Shea added before he left. "Put your dirty clothes in the laundry basket at the front of the room. Our servant will clean them up for you and put them on the rack beside it tomorrow morning," she said.
"Okay, thanks for letting me know," Allen replied.
As Allen turned around to leave the room, he caught Zoe's gaze. There was a moment of hesitation in her eyes before she quickly looked away to cover her blushing face.
With a small smile, he walked through the corridor. Indeed, he couldn't help but feel a little uneasy. No, he wasn't nervous about Zoe's request, rather he was thinking about how he could make her comfortable.
'I think I just need to go easy on her,' he thought. She was the youngest among them all and he wasn't sure she had tried an erotica game either, so a sense of security would be crucial for her.
Finally, he reached his room and quickly made his way inside. He looked around the room and was pleased to see that it was clean and tidy. The bed was neatly made, and the curtains were drawn, allowing the moonlight to illuminate the room. In fact, it was better than his room.
'Time to go to the bath,' he thought.
