Chapter 471 Superstar
Villain Ch 471. Superstar noVe/Lb-1n
After finishing breakfast and sharing a memorable family moment, Allen bid farewell to Jordan and Emma as they headed off to the Cyber building to attend to some matters. He watched them go with a sense of gratitude and excitement for the newfound connection in his life.
Returning to his apartment, Allen couldn't wipe the grin off his face. The realization that he had a family now, one he could truly call his own, filled him with warmth and happiness. He couldn't help but feel the urge to share this momentous news with the girls. They had been by his side through thick and thin. He had already sought Jordan's permission to disclose his newfound status as a Goldborne to them.
Deciding to wait until they were all online later that evening for their usual gaming session, Allen eagerly anticipated the moment when he could share this significant revelation. He preferred to deliver the news personally, with his own voice, as he knew it would be a moment to cherish.
At 2:01 PM, after Allen had wrapped up his work as an online writer and uploaded his latest chapter, he eagerly donned his VR headset and logged into the virtual world.
Upon entering the game, Allen materialized near the Cursed Crypts' hall. Normally, this place was shrouded in silence, but today was different. To his surprise, he could hear the familiar voices of Bella, Alice, Larissa, and Vivian coming from inside the hall. They seemed to be engaged in an animated discussion about something intriguing.
Curiosity piqued, Allen decided to approach the entrance of the hall and quietly eavesdrop on their conversation, wondering what had brought them all together in this place.
"Liam and Darren showed up at your shop at noon?" Bella inquired, her voice laced with surprise.
Alice responded with a nonchalant nod. "Yeah, they were just strolling around and checking things out. I mean, browsing isn't a crime, so I let them be," Alice replied, a hint of satisfaction playing across her lips. "Although, they didn't seem particularly interested in the gaming gear. It's more like they were on a quest, searching for something—or someone."
Rolling her eyes, Bella couldn't help but deliver her response with a dose of irritation. "You're such a clueless twit, Alice! They were obviously looking for you!" Bella snapped, her annoyance evident in her piercing glare.
Alice couldn't resist the opportunity to playfully tease Bella. With an exaggerated fake gasp, she chimed in, "Oh, really now? Are they my biggest fans? Are they totally crushing on me?" Her tone was light and playful as she decided to go along with the charade.
Bella, on the other hand, was clearly not amused. She gave Alice a flat, incredulous look. "Seriously?" she huffed, her patience wearing thin as she shook her head at her friend's antics.
Responding with a playful pout, Alice continued to push Bella's buttons. "What's with the seriousness, huh? Lighten up a bit," she teased, playfully poking Bella's side with her elbow.
Bella, her annoyance still evident, shot Alice a withering glare. "Tell me. Who was the one sending me a frantic voice chat message this noon?" she hissed, reminding her.
Alice maintained her mischievous grin as she played innocent. "Come on, I just wanted to have a little fun," she defended herself.
Vivian couldn't help but be curious. "Did they actually see you?" she asked.
Alice casually shook her head from side to side. "Nah, I was watching them through the CCTV in my office," she revealed. She leaned in slightly, shooting Bella a teasing glance. "You know me, I rarely interact directly with customers," she explained with a nonchalant shrug. Then, her gaze returned to Bella with a playful tone. "Looks like someone needs a little reminder," she added, emphasizing the point.
Bella rolled her eyes in response. "Thanks for that very subtle reminder," she replied in an annoyed tone.
Alice simply grinned, taking Bella's sarcasm in stride. "You're welcome," she said cheekily, enjoying the playful banter.
Vivian turned her attention to Larissa, curious to hear her side of the story. "What about you, Larissa?" she asked, her gaze shifting to the girl standing beside her.
Larissa shrugged as she recounted her experience. "I happened to see Sophia at the gym's reception while she was registering as a member this morning," she began. "I saw her, but she didn't notice me," she added casually.
Bella couldn't hide her surprise. "So that means she knows Allen is a member?" she asked, trying to piece together the information.
Larissa nodded in confirmation, confirming Bella's suspicions.
"Do you think that Gerry told her?" guessed Alice, analyzing.
"Gerry is not the typical guy who sells out his friends," Larissa guessed with a huff.
Alice considered the situation carefully. "You might be right, " she agreed, nodding in agreement. "But you know, word travels fast, especially in places like the gym. If Allen is popular there, it's possible that someone spilled the beans to Sophia."
Larissa sighed in exasperation. "Exactly. Allen has quite the following among the female members there. It's not surprising that the news got out," she explained.
Vivian chimed in with her own observations. "I heard that Sophia has been trying to gather information about Allen from the agency," she shared. "But since Allen is relatively new and hasn't worked with many people, there isn't much to find," she added with a shake of her head. "I just don't get why she can't move on," she mused, clearly frustrated by Sophia's persistence.
Bella's words hung in the air, heavy with truth. Her tone shifted from annoyance to a more serious one as she analyzed the situation, "Obsession can blind people to reason. It makes them do irrational things and disregard the consequences. In the end, they're the ones who suffer the most."
The others nodded in agreement, realizing the gravity of Sophia's obsession with Allen. It was clear that her relentless pursuit of information about him, even after their fallout, was driven by something deeper and more troubling.
Vivian sighed, breaking the heavy silence that had settled in the room. "We need to be careful, though. If Sophia continues down this path, it could lead to more trouble for Allen."
Allen had been listening to the conversation just outside the hall, hidden in the shadows. He had heard enough of their discussion about Sophia's obsession and the potential dangers it posed. It was time for him to step in.
With a determined look on his face, he pushed open the door to the hall and walked in. His presence caught their attention, who turned to look at him in surprise.
"Hey, guys," Allen greeted them with a smile, trying to lighten the mood after their serious discussion. "What's all this talk about obsessions and crazy people? Did I miss something interesting?"
His casual demeanor and playful tone helped ease the tension in the room, and the group couldn't help but chuckle at his entrance.
Bella smirked and gave Allen a playful nudge. "Well, well, if it isn't the famous Allen," she teased.
Alice chimed in with a mischievous grin. "Yeah, Allen, did you know you're a heartthrob now? We might need to start charging for autographs."
Before Allen could answer, three more figures entered, catching everyone's attention. It was Zoe, Shea, and Jane. They were just online and decided to join in.
Zoe couldn't help but join in the fun. "And here I thought you were just another ordinary gamer. Little did we know you were secretly a superstar," she said, feigning amazement.
Shea raised an eyebrow, pretending to be serious. "So, Allen, when's the next time we'll see you on the cover of a gaming magazine? We want an autographed copy, of course."
Allen laughed along with them, feeling grateful for the lightheartedness they brought to the conversation. "Well, I guess I'll have to start practicing my signature then," he replied, playing along. "But don't worry, my head won't get too big with all this fame. I promise I'll still be the same old Allen you know."
Their laughter and playful banter continued, creating an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie. Allen, amidst the laughter, felt it was the right moment to share his big news.
"Speaking of superstar," he began, pausing for dramatic effect as he grinned at his friends, "I just met Mr. Jordan. And I want to say something to you. This may be news that will shock you."
His companions exchanged curious glances, and Jane couldn't help but ask, "What's that?"
Allen took a deep breath and declared, "Mr. Jordan is my biological dad."
The hall fell into stunned silence for a brief moment before erupting in a chorus of excited exclamations, surprise, and laughter. The girls couldn't believe what they had just heard.
Quick poll: I plan to bring Allen and the girls' relationship closer in this book. Like maybe a harem mini arc? I want to know whether 10 chapters is enough for that or do I need to reduce or add more.
1. 10 chapters are enough!
2. Less than 10 chapters! This is an MMORPG story for Godsake!
3. More than 10 chapters! We talk about harems here!
