Chapter 191: Taking a Day Off
Upon waking up on the floor of the forest, Alex looked over to find that Jung-Hyun had indeed undergone a transformation the night before. If he was being honest, they were both lucky it didn’t rain the night before, because they would have definitely gotten sick at the least, and perhaps died of hypothermia at the worst. This was a good lesson to learn, never do magic mushrooms without proper shelter from the elements.
Alex, however, was more interested in the sleeping beauty next to him, who looked more like a mystical wood nymph than an actual human being. Because of this, he crawled next to Jung-Hyun and gently kissed her on the lips, waking her up from her slumber.
This was usually how Alex awoke, but the woman was probably just as exhausted as he was. Thus, he did her a favor. And when Jung-Hyun opened her pretty red eyes, she looked over at a smirking Alex and responded to him by kissing him back.
Though this is about the extent of their morning activities. After all, Alex was incredibly sore from sleeping on the floor of the jungle, and so was Jung-Hyun, who rose from her sleep while stretching. She was evidently quite hungry as she immediately demanded something to eat.
“So what’s for breakfast?”
Alex smirked as he pulled a few extra food items out of his satchel. They were the same quail’s eggs that Jung-Hyun had used to egg wash the wild boar schnitzel the night before. Alex immediately set forth to make scrambled eggs and bacon from what was left of the boar, which he had salted and smoked the night before.
That, along with some leftover milk from a thermos he kept, cooled in a small camp cooler with some ice. And Alex had made a fine breakfast for himself and his lover, out of hunted meat and scavenged eggs. Jung-Hyun was wholly satisfied with the results, as she finished up her serving with a look of delight on her face.
“now that was a truly delicious breakfast... I would love to see what this cabin is like once it is completely finished. Are you going to get some more work done on it today?”
Alex, however, shook his head and sighed, while stretching his tense muscles, before speaking about these plans for the day in a nonchalant manner.
“Nah, I’ll take you back to the mansion, and then spend the day relaxing, maybe hit the sauna, hot tub, and get an oil message from my new lovelies. I’ll have some of them bring up some more supplies from the mansion’s stores while I take the day off and enjoy it with the rest of you.”
Jung-Hyun nodded her head and agreed with Alex’s sentiment. He had been working himself to the bone these last few days, and could really use a break. Thus, she asked what exactly did a day of relaxation entail other than what he already said.
“Okay, and tell me, does your day of relaxation include making use of that bamboo you have harvested?”
Alex looked offended, having seemingly been seen through by his woman. Thus, he scratched the back of his neck, before pointing towards some of his supplies he was bringing back with him to the mansion.
Thus, after half a night of lovemaking, Alex got some much needed rest, before waking up with the dawn. After all, he only needed a day’s rest. And there was still much work to do. Thus, Alex gathered the girls together, where he eventually selected the girl that he most wanted to join him on this adventure.
“Alright... I’ve thought about it for some time, and today I’ll be taking Dal with me. So how about you go get ready, girl, and then we’ll head out...”
Dal was in a foul mood, and Alex did not know why. But he also didn’t want to pull the pin on that grenade. And thus, he urged Dal to get ready. She did as she was told, but throughout the entire hike to the campsite, the redheaded beauty was pouting. It was not until she sat down with her legs crossed at the fire pit that Alex finally decided to navigate the minefield that was the woman’s emotions.
“Alright... What is it? What’s gotten you so pissed off today?”
Dal did not even look at Alex and continued to pout. Almost as if she was expecting Alex to already know the answer. And though he tried to get the girl to speak up, she didn’t say anything. Finally, when he had run out of ideas, the girl rolled her eyes before addressing why she was so angry with him.
“I was supposed to go first!”
Alex had no idea what the girl was talking about, and sort of just raised his brow while expressing his lack of understanding in the most cave man like way possible.
“Huh?”
Dal once more rolled her eyes after realizing Alex still did not understand what she meant. Thus, she sighed heavily before explaining in far greater detail what was bugging her.
“After Sakura, I was supposed to go next! But you took Jung-Hyun! I thought we were going in order of which women fell in love with you first... But you forgot! You forgot about me!”
It was only now that Alex realized why the girl was upset with him, causing him to break out into a fit of laughter, as he spoke to the girl as if she were crazy.
“And who said there was such an order to my madness? Or did you girls just assume? I’m not choosing you girls in any particular order. Though it is true that it might seem like I am picking the girls I got with first, and in that order. The reality is, I’m just going on whatever I’m feeling at the moment. Honestly, Dal... Do I really look like a guy with a plan?”
When Dal heard this, she simply broke out into laughter... She could no longer be angry at Alex, because at the end of the day, he really was a guy who just did things on a whim. And she continued to laugh for some time, while Alex joined her.
