72 The Confrontation
“Why should I go with you?” Lin Ssu stood his ground.
“D’Corporeal or your home. You choose.” Lu Zhao fidgeted with the key in his hand, his face expressionless.
Lin Su’s eyes changed at the mention of that name, and he followed Lu Zhao out of the door.
“What are you getting at? Are you really planning to ruin the relationship between the Lu family and the Lin family for that shameless woman?” Lin Su asked.
Before Lin Su could finish his sentence, his face went on fire. His head tilted to a side as he staggered back.
“I own 5% of the Lin family’s shares, but it’s just for your sake. I never said that our companies are related.” Lu Zhao’s eyes coldly swept across Lin Su’s face.
“You know of the dealings behind D’Corporeal.”
Lin Su looked at Lu Zhao, his mouth wide open in surprise.
How could Lu Zhao have known?
Before he could react, he felt his vision blur. He ended up on the ground. Lu Zhao pulled his foot back.
“Lu Zhao? What are you doing? All this for a woman! Don’t you know?” Lin Su shouted. “Don’t you know how hard she tried to get into my pants before?!”
Lu Zhao looked at Lin Su, the mockery on his face deepening.
Lin Su shuddered, and his voice began to falter. “The person she cares about the most can’t be you. Don’t you know that first love is the most unforgettable? I’m the moonlight of her life. Don’t you feel disgusted that your wife is such a woman?”
Lu Zhao squatted down and looked at him, his eyes looking murderous.
“Lin Su, you should know this. It’s a good thing to love someone. At least she knows what true courage is, unlike you, who only dares to hide behind skirts and be a yes-man,” Lu Zhao said, his voice firm and powerful.
“I do know that she only has me in her heart right now. There’s no one else. I have that confidence.,” Lu Zhao said.
“You don’t know this, but in order to get me, she didn’t hesitate to ruin Su Ran’s innocence. If it wasn’t for Luo Wan and Xia Lan, Su Ran would have lost her virginity! She’s done a lot of dirty things in the past,” Lin Su said. “She even tried to blackmail me into sleeping with her, don’t you know that?”
He looked at Lu Zhao sarcastically. “Wake up, it’s impossible for Luo Ying to like you. In order to get me, she would stop at nothing, so it’s clear that her love for you isn’t real.”
Lu Zhao sneered and reached out to grab Lin Su’s jaw. “It’s best not to spout such baseless lies, because the truth may just shock you.”
Lu Zhao’s voice was cold. “You ask if Luo Ying is true to me, but are you even true to Su Ran? From what you’re saying, it sounds like you care a great deal about Luo Ying doing these things to you, for you, purported or otherwise.”
Lu Zhao stretched out his hand and struck Lin Su’s other side.
“You’d better not have any thoughts about Luo Ying, and don’t think about slandering Luo Ying. Otherwise, I’ll make you and your company die an ugly death.”
Lu Zhao stood up and left the room.
Lin Su felt extremely humiliated.
When Lu Zhao got into the car, Luo Ying had already treated the wound on her face. She had applied a cold ointment on her face and was lying on the sofa in the car, leisurely drinking fruit juice.
“You’re back!” Luo Ying’s eyes lit up when she saw Lu Zhao.
Lu Zhao’s anger dissipated the moment he saw Luo Ying.
He reached out and held the woman in his arms. He gently lifted her chin and looked at the wound on her face.
“I won’t let you get hurt again,” Lu Zhao said.
“It’s fine. The swelling’s gone down. Besides, you’ve helped me beat him up.” Luo Ying snuggled in Lu Zhao’s arms and said with a smile.
“How did you know?” Lu Zhao frowned.
Luo Ying grabbed Lu Zhao’s hand. The cut had opened up.
She held up the man’s hand tenderly and applied the rest of the ointment on it.
“How hard did you hit that man? It’s all split open again.”
Lu Zhao’s gaze darkened. “It’s fine.”
