"I meant that from now on you are on your own madam," Mina said in a low voice.
To be honest, she wasn't very fond of Lisa. Both of if them were of similar age but they belonged to two different worlds.
Although Mr. Akter took good care of her, but she was constantly reminded that she had nothing. She lived at mercy of others.
On the contrary, Lisa had everything she ever wanted. Living within the warmth of family, their protection these are the things she missed the most. How could she not be jealous of Lisa?
Moreover, she felt that Lisa didn't really appreciate her family. She had never seen Lisa making any contribution to the family. She always did what she wanted.
Do not like business studies? Fine quit your study halfway. Do not like a person? fine just ignore them. It doesn't matter if her attitude offended anyone. As she has her whole family at her service to solve the mess she created.
But ever since she joined the office, she ha been observing the change in Lisa. She never new that this girl had so much energy and fighting power within herself.
She gradually understood that it wasn't that Lisa didn't love her family enough. She just didn't know how to express her love.
In these four years, she didn't even realise when she began to admire this young pampered girl.
She really thought that they could pull through. She was rooting for Lisa's success. But Lisa was not omnipotent. How can this young girl without proper connections can survive in a world dominated by men that easily? How would she survive a storm like this? It was even worse than the crisis 4years ago.

Lisa didn't waste time on Mina. She stormed out of her office. She would talk to H.R manager herself. How can everyone just resign without any prior notice?
At least they should provide proper explanation.
But the H.R manager couldn't provide satisfactory answer. He was surprised too. But none of the employees were picking up their phones.
Lisa was under deep water. She had to admit defeat and ask for her father's help.
The old employees were avoiding them but they had to leave Mr. Akter some face. Right?

Mr. Akter came to office soon after he heard the news. He didn't waste time and began to ask around for information. Meanwhile Liton tried to talk to the clients.
.
"Still no news?" Lisa asked sadly.
Liton put down her phone dejectedly and shook his head. Most of them bluntly lied that they weren't in the office.
Some of the clients with whom they had good relation as well as some old employees apologised to them and begged LiCorp to stop contacting them. But they didn't say anything.
It was almost afternoon, Mr. Akter entered into the office. He seemed very disheartened and sad.
Lisa's heart twisted when she saw her father like this.
"Dad I swear I didn't do anything wrong. I have no idea why they are behaving this way. I have always treated them well and gave their salary on time."
Mr. Akter rubbed her head as he comforted her, "I know dear. I have complete faith in you. There must be a proper explanation. sometimes it is not uncommon for business rivals to apply this method to suppress a company. Mr. Rashed, our old adviser wants to talk to you."
Lisa received the phone.
"Uncle", Lisa greeted him.
The other side remained silent for a while. Then replied, " Do you remember Rafi, my son who is a doctor?"
Lisa frowned. She didn't understand why he was talking about his son.
"Yes I do. Isn't he the one who is currently in UK?"
"Hmm,"Mr. Rashed replied,
" 6years ago, my son was returning from hospital after 36hours long shift. It was during holiday. Most of the doctors went home. So he had to cover for their shifts. He didn't have any time to take rest for long 36hours."
"Uncle," Lisa interrupted. She really didn't have time for idle chitchat.
"Let me finish", Mr. Rashed took a deep breath.
"After his shift he dragged his tired body and started to drive home. It was late night. He suddenly dozed off and unintentionally hit a passerby. "
Lisa was alarmed. "Did that person die?"
"Fortunately he didn't. Rafi took him to the hospital." Mr. Rashed reassured her.
"Thankfully. Otherwise Rafi's punishment would have been increased," Lisa was relieved.
Mr. Rashed sighed helplessly, "The accident wasn't reported. Rafi was already preparing to go abroad. If he was arrested at that time, his career would have been ruined. So we offered huge sum of money as well as treatment cost of that person to buy his silence. All the evidences were destroyed. "
"Uncle," Lisa exclaimed. She didn't expect it from an honest person like Mr. Rashed.
"I know what you want to say.
If Rafi was drunk or careless during driving, I would not have helped him at any cost. But he was returning from 36hours long shift. 36 hours! Can you imagine? 36 hours on your feet without any rest. He dozed off not because he was drunk or having fun but because he pushed his himself beyond his capacity and it was all for helping people. His only mistake was to drive himself in this state instead of calling for a taxi.
Did he really deserve to be destroyed just because of this?
Besides, we didn't threaten the victim. We just requested him and explained our situation. The person cooperatedalso understood that Rafi was not a bad guy and decided to cooperate with us."
Lisa didn't say anything. If it was her brother then she probably would have done the same thing. She was in no position to judge anyone.
"We thought that we got rid of all traces, until yesterday. One anonymous person contacted us and blackmailed me to quit my job.
Otherwise he would expose everything.
He had everything Lisa. The medical records, proof that we transferred money to him, CCTV footage.
Rafi...if he is arrested now then the punishment would be even more severe... He just had a baby Lisa. This would ruin his family completely."
Lisa didn't know what to say. Although she was dissatisfied with Mr. Rashed but she couldn't blame him. Blood is thicker than water.
If the choice is between one's son and the company, the answer is obvious.
"Ok uncle. I understand. At least you provided us with an explanation. We know that someone is deliberately targeting us." Lisa bit her lip.
"There is something else I need to tell you."
"What?" Lisa asked.
"When this incident happened LiCorp was at the peak of his power. We did everything we could to remove the traces of the accident." Mr. Rashed wasn't proud of his deeds, "One police officer also helped us.
There were very few people who could uncover the truth. Unless...."
"Unless the person is at least ten times more powerful than us", Lisa completed his sentence.
"Yes, you are right. Now answer me my dear...what the hell did you do?"
