"Did you contact with the construction company?" Lisa asked Tuli seriously.
After that party, Lisa had stopped being too nice to Tuli. She wasn't like Mina. It seemed like that she had indulged Tuli so much that she didn't consider her the boss anymore. She had to correct her way of thinking.
"Yes, I did madam." Tuli lowered her gaze. She too, could feel the change in her behaviour. If it had been before, she would have felt bad and tried to mend their relationship, but now she no longer felt the necessity. Lisa was Ruhan's wife and she was his girlfriend. They were destined to be enemies. To Tuli, there was no need to curry favour with someone who would leave the company sooner or later.
Moreover, she felt that if Lisa hadn't been in the picture, Ruhan and she would have united long ago. She couldn't help but feel hostile towards her whenever she thought about it.
Lisa didn't notice her hostility. She just nodded and waved her to leave the room.
Tuli glanced at her watch. It would be lunchtime soon. She would head out to meet Ruhan. She had already accomplished what Ruhan told her to do. Today she would just give him the relevant Informations. After that she would have to resign and go into hiding. The rest would depend on Ruhan.
Tuli sighed. She didn't like to be passive. But there was nothing else she could do. Ruhan didn't include her in detailed plan. But she could guess vaguely.
As Tuli was leaving the company, her steps became somewhat heavy. If she handed over the informations today, then there would be no turning back. She would be on the same boat as Ruhan. She would have to follow him until the end.
'Is Ruhan that trustworthy? ' Tuli asked again herself.
Something inside her replied, 'No, he isn't. No matter what the reason is, he is betraying his own wife. There is no certainty that he won't betray you.'
Tuli took a deep breath and ignored those warnings. She couldn't turn back now. She had to take a leap of faith. If she succeeded, she could gain a loving husband and the lavish life she dreamt of.
She knew that no matter how successful she was. She had to get married one day and have children. Her mother was already pressuring her for marriage. But with her family status, she could marry into an upper middle class family at most.
If she hadn't met Ruhan, then those suitors would have been good enough. But after knowing him, how could those average suitors enter her eyes!!! She couldn't help but compare them to Ruhan..the difference between them was like heaven and earth. It was...unacceptable.
Tuli glanced back at the tall building again. To claim that she wasn't reluctant to leave would be a lie. The time she spent here was precious. Lisa was really a good boss. It's a pity...
'It's just temporary.' Tuli comforted herself. Once Ruhan successfully removed Lisa from her position, he would find a way to bring her back to the office...he promised that.
But at this moment, it really wasn't safe for her to stay here any longer. Normally if a sensitive information was leaked, the secretaries and assistants were the one who were suspected. So she would have to leave until the storm subsides. It was for her own good. She understood Ruhan's logic.
Suddenly a harsh ringtone pulled her back into reality.
"Hello" Tuli replied like a robot.
"Did you get them?" Ruhan asked in a low voice.
"Hmm" Tuli bit her lips.
"I knew you could do it." Ruhan chuckled. "I am proud of you dear. Meet me at our regular place."
"Ok.." Tuli hung up the phone.
There was no going back now.
