Chapter 85 - Family

"My dear stupid sister, you are focusing on the wrong thing." Liton began to analyze the situation.

"Then where should I focus on?" Lisa retorted. "If I manage to find Tuli, I could prove that someone set me up. The mess is not a result of my inefficiency.  I am innocent. "

"Do you think they care for your innocence?  All they care for is the result. If you can not handle the situation properly and cause damage to the company, you'll be severely punished."

The aim of a businessmen is to earn maximum profit.  Why would they care for someone's innocence!!!

"I am not talking about the shareholders. I am talking about my father-in-law. " Lisa mumbled. She liked the way Mr. Ahmed treated her. She didn't want to lose this because of a single mistake.

Liton sighed. This girl really was troublesome.

"If you want to explain then explain to him privately.  But your priority should be to handle the situation.  Don't forget that Mr. Ahmed was the one who recommended you to this post. So if you mess up,  he would end up losing his face too. He would be angrier then."

"You are right." Lisa admitted that she was thinking illogically. "I'll try to solve the problem as soon as possible."

"First of all you should give your father-in-law a heads up. This incidence will not stay hidden for long. You should ask for his help to solve it." Liton suggested.  He knew that according to her temper, she would try to handle the problem herself. But she still wasn't ready to shoulder this responsibility.

It usually requires upto five years of work experience to be promoted to a project manager in Ahmed Corporations. This unwritten rule was set up to hone the employees' talent and temper and also to let them build up proper connections. As Lisa directly joined as project manager, she lacked the allies and connections that others project manager had. That was why it was easy for Ruhan to backstab her. If Lisa wanted to sit firm in that position,  she would have to rely on Mr. Ahmed to build up her connections. 

"I'll do what you say. But later you'll help me find Tuli." Lisa still wasn't ready to let that girl go that easily.

"Ok. I'll also give you all my connections. You need to build up your own strength and improve your communication skill." Liton always wanted Lisa to meet new people but she didn't like to talk to strangers. So he took this chance to correct her mistakes.

"Alright alright..." Lisa said impatiently.

The brother and sister talked for a long time. They conversed about business studies. Lisa inquired about her parents. By the time she hung up the phone, her mood was much better.

Lisa took a deep breath and approached to Mr. Ahmed's office. Although Mr. Baki might have already informed him about today's matter, Lisa wanted to tell everything in details.

It was from this moment she thoroughly realized the importance of family in her life. She was now even more determined to protect her family at all cost.
