Chapter 141 There For Her.

By the time night fell, all the relatives left for their homes. The climate outside was also turning bad, so no one wanted to stay behind at the memorial, everyone wanted to be at their place.

It left Zhou Liying alone with the Qin family. Qin family was also planning to leave now that everyone was gone. There was no need for them to stay for a long time.

Zhou Liying who was seated at the same place from the afternoon, without moving any muscle felt hungry and thirsty. At the same time, she wanted to relieve herself.

"Yeteng, can you sit at my place for some time? I need to go to the bathroom." Zhou Liying requested her younger cousin.

If she was to pinpoint her favourite family member from the Qin family, out of four of them, she'd say it was Qin Yeteng. She was six years younger than Zhou Liying and was the most pampered family member.

Zhou Liying too loved her and treated her as her family but Qin Yeteng did not like her much.

"Why should I stay at your place? Who knows if you will return from the bathroom or not? What if you left me sitting here?" Qin Yeteng spoke sarcastically. "It is falling night. I am sure, you want to leave because you can't stay here for the night. 'I will stay with grandpa' was all your acting."

Zhou Liying sighed and looked at Qin Yeteng. She was filled with venom and bitterness. Why was everyone in her uncle's family so bitter toward her? Was Qin Yeteng not like Zhou Bingbing to her?

Zhou Liying cursed herself and control her urges. She knew, no one was going to take her seat and she was not ready to visit the restroom, leaving this ceremony in between.

"Here, have some food. I don't want to see you dead tomorrow." Huang Jiayi passed her a plate filled with food. Zhou Liying looked at the plate and then at the face of her aunt. She sneakered.

If they were not ready to take her place even for a minute, then how could she believe that they'd serve her food, without her asking for it? She was sure that the food was tampered with.

It was no big deal if her aunt had poisoned the food. What better would be for her if she died on the memorial of her grandpa?

She pushed the plate away, even after the protest of her stomach. She hadn't eaten from yesterday night and right now, she was feeling hell hungry and tired. Above that, after her accident, she was strictly advised to take diet in within twenty-four hours otherwise it could be dangerous for her and her body.

That was why Zhou Liying was never careless about her meals. Min Yue was strictly advised to serve her meals three times a day, no matter what!

Today, due to her sorrow, she forgot all about her meal.

Damnit!

Foolish! Foolish! Foolish!

She had even asked her guards and everyone else to look after her from far away, to not to disturb her. Now, how was she to have some rest and food!

Zhou Liying watched as everyone left her alone in the dark, without any care. She curled herself, feeling cold because of the wind blowing inside the hall. Her hunger and thirst were not helping her.

'Don't be weak, Liying. You have faced many things; you can face this night too. Tomorrow, you can ask some relative to take your place.' She consoled herself.

Zhou Liying shivered when she felt a gush of cold air. She looked out from the door and saw it raining heavily. She tried to cover herself with her dress as much as she could.

**

Mu Yuehan was continuously working in his office, to divert his mind away from Zhou Liying. He urged to visit her but he knew that his presence could create a scandal. No one would believe that he was a mare bodyguard of Zhou Liying.

And as said to her, she did not want any show during the memorial of her grandpa.

He planned to visit her at night when no one would be there in the memorial hall.

He signed a file and placed it aside. He opened another file.

Although Zhan Wei was handling his work in his absence, still there were many important decisions which needed the assistance of Mu Yuehan. He needed to sign some contracts, and perform some other tasks.

So, here he was, doing his duty as the CEO of Mu corporations.

?

"Boss, there is bad news. It's raining badly." Li Tao entered his office and breathed heavily. "I don't think miss Zhou is provided with anything to keep her warm."

Mu Yuehan abruptly stood up and looked out from the window. He cursed when he saw that it was raining heavily. He got so lost in his work that he did not even check on her. He did not even realise that it was already nighttime.

He shut his laptop and picked up his coat. He made his way out of the office and shrugged the coat over his shoulders.

"Call any restaurant near the memorial to prepare a hot meal, also a bottle of water. Also, call someone to arrange for a blanket." He ordered and entered the elevator.

Li Tao followed after him. He pulled out his phone and made some phone calls, as per the order of Mu Yuehan.

When Mu Yuehan came out of the elevator, he shivered slightly. It was a heavy downpour and with that, the winds were also cold.

'If I am feeling cold then what will be the condition of Lili?'

Mu Yuehan felt a jab in his heart, imagining her condition. He could only pray that the Qin family was not so heartless as to leave her all alone, without providing her with anything warm.

**

"Drive fast."

Mu Yuehan was impatiently sitting in the back seat. He was in a hurry to reach the memorial. He could not wait to see her with his own eyes and confirm that she was feeling all well.

"Why are you slowing the car?" Mu Yuehan groaned with anger.

"Boss, the restaurant is here." Li Tao informed.

He parked the car and opened the door. He ran inside the restaurant and returned with already packed food. He returned to the car and passed the packed food to Mu Yuehan. He restarted the car and made his way toward the memorial.

The moment the car stopped in front of the memorial, Mu Yuehan stepped out of the car with packed food in one hand and a warm blanket in another. He did not care about getting wet.

Li Tao was also fast. He opened an umbrella and ran after Mu Yuehan, protecting him from the rain.

Mu Yuehan roughly removed his shoes, without caring where they fell. He entered the memorial. He fell to the ground, behind Zhou Liying.

"You are here."

Mu Yuehan felt thousands of needles in his heart when he saw her slightly pale face. It was all his fault that he was late. If only he was a little earlier, he would have saved her from a little of her suffering.
