Sia breathed Ice right now?

Why? How?

Ain: “ThーThe Beast Race can all blow ice from their mouths?!”

Sia: “GRRRrrrrrrrrr”

I don’t even know what this growl means…

BーBut anyways, let’s put this Ice inside the [Alchemy BOX].

[An ice crystal that has absorbed Magic Power. When it is impacted, it will freeze its surroundings.]

If it absorbs Magic Power, does that mean it has similar properties as Magic? Let’s go ahead and put a rock in there too.

From the back entrance of the inn, I pick up a rock and place it inside the BOX.

[Would you like to Enchant?]

Ain: “It worked!”

Sia: “GAU?!”

Ain: “Oh, sorry. I didn’t mean to yell all of a sudden.”

But let’s see what happens when I enchant.

The BOX lit up and when I opened the lid, the gray colored stone was now white.

Ain: “It’s……..not cold to the touch.”

Well, it is made of stone, so it is a little cool to the touch, but it’s not on the level of an ice cube.

The red marbled rocks were the same too, but just because they are Enchanted with a Magical Attribute doesn’t mean that they turn hot or cold.

Sia: “GAUuu”

Ain: “Okay, let’s see how powerful it is.”

It said I need to apply an impact to it, right? I go into a throwing motion and throw it against the pile of rubble in front of me!

The rock struck it andーー

Ain: “Ha……..haha……”

Sia: “GAOo”

From where the rock struck, everything in a 2 meter (～6.5 ft) radius turned into a frozen icicle.

Ain: “Th……...that’s amazing! [Enchant] is amazing! Look at that! If you know how to use it, then it’s a really useful [Gift], isn’t it?!”

Sia: “UO-UO-UOo”

Ain: “Haha, thanks Sia. I can’t use Spells at all, but with you, I think I’ll be able to use this [Enchant] ability from now on.”

I offer to shake her hand but….

Sia: “Uh…..! UGARRRRRrrrr!!”

Ain: “Hey, OWー!”

She bit me for some reason.

With the combination of the [Alchemy BOX] and [Enchant], our hunts became dramatically easier.

But Sia could not use the {Ice Crystal Breath} several times a day. Once, she did it twice in a row, and for a while, she continued to cough.

That’s why she wasn’t using it for her attacks.

Sia: “GAUuu”

Ain: “Do I need more {Ice}? No, we’re okay. It looks like with one Spell, we can enchant as many items as we like.”

Sia: “Uh?” Ain: “With one Ice, I can enchant dozens….no hundreds of rocks at once.”

Sia: “Oooooo”

I already have several hundred Ice Enchanted rocks stored up.

During our hunt, I will take a few dozen, and if the opportunity comes, I will throw and use it.

Ain: “Okay, so today, we’llーー”

We have been living here for around 2 weeks now.

It is the fall season. Since yesterday, I feel like the temperature has been dropping and getting colder.

Ain: “Sia, today, let’s collect firewood. It’s gotten chilly, and we’ll need to prepare for the winter soon.”

Sia: “Uh”

I wish there were blankets or something, but we only found sheets.

But a warm blanket would be an expensive luxury item in this world soー I’m sure when they were leaving the island, they took it with them.

In the worker’s living space at the inn, there is a fireplace. If we light a fire there, even with just sheets, we might be able to get by.

After breakfast, I take up the backpack for carrying the firewood and head to the forest.

Ain: “During the winter, I think we’ll still be able to hunt, but what should we do about the vegetablesー”

Sia: “Uuu?” Ain: “We can hang dry the root veggies, and we could get through one winter. But the cabbagesー”

The leafy greens do not last very long in general. And there’s also the Cron (corn). Without it, I can’t make Naan.

If only we had a greenhouse, we could grow it there butー

As I fill my backpack with firewood all the way, we return to the inn, and pile it up in the dining hall.

We made several trips until the evening, and we were able to collect quite a bit.

Ain: “Fwew. During the day, it’s still pretty warmー And it gets chilly once evening arrives.”

As I speak, I look at Sia, and she sat by the window in relaxed contentment.

She’s sunbathing.

The sun reflected through the window, and the area where the light touched must be warmーー

Ain: “It’s glass!”

Sia: “UGYu?!”

Ain: “A glass greenhouse. That’s right, I can make glass with my [Alchemy BOX]!”

Now that’s decided, from tomorrow on, we’ll need to collect seashells.

Glass is made from Silica and Limestone. I’m sure it had a more specific name, but for now, I should be able to make glass with this.

There’s a lot of Silica inside sand, and limestone can be obtained by burning and crushing seashells. We can obtain both on the seashore!

And the next morning, we departed but….

Sia: “GAUu”

Ain: “.........well, that does make sense. The glass we saw in town didn’t have to be stuff that they imported from other places to here.”

As we headed towards the watchtower, we found a huge stash of seashells.

If you go deeper, you’ll also see a furnace made from bricks.

They most likely made glass here for the buildings.

But….now, that saves us a lot of time, and we got lucky.
