Kirihiko placed her hand on her cheek and sighed deliberately.

"Sasahara-kun is a hardcore weirdo, and I'm sure you'll have a hard time with him, but...he's not a bad kid, so take care of him, Koyuki-chan."

"Haha... I've been told the samething by his friends..."

"Oh, is it Yui-chan and Tatsumi-kun?"

"Eh, you know them?"

"Yeah, they often come and hang out here. we sometimes play games and have tea together."

".....eh?"

Kirihiko smiled and said, "It's often a happy time for me"

Everything that she said was true, once a month or so, Yui and the others would stop by here to laze around. This is kind like a club room for us.

When I explained that, for some reason, Koyuki's expression hardened...

"...Sasahara-Kun, may I have a word?"

"Uh, w-what is it?"

Koyuki suddenly changed her mind and turned to face Naoya sitting in seiza.

"It's polite as a human being to work hard when you're being paid. But if you bring in your friends and skip work... aren't you just taking advantage of your Manager way too much?"

"Eh, that's not just a Venomous tough, she's serious...!?"

❄「ど、毒舌じゃなくて単なるマジレスだ……!?」❄

It was a pretty straightforward and serious response.

I did explain that this used bookstore was just a hobby business, but by itself, it was just a simple stealing of salaries.

So Naoya hurried to explain himself.

"No, you see. I'm not hired as a clerk, I'm hired as a housekeeper."

"Ha?"

"Kirihiko-san and I are distant relatives. Even though she works on a computer from home, she's not very good at housework."

"It's true. When I cook, it usually turns to charcoal."

It was Kirihiko who said it so matter-of-factly.

Not only does she turn everything into charcoal, but she's also sloppy about cleaning and doing laundry. She may look like a strong woman, but her housekeeping skills are all in the negative.

"So my job is generally cooking and housekeeping. Working in the store is just an adjunct to that."

"I'm sorry..... I misunderstood you again."

"No, it's fine. I think that's one of Shirogane-san's good points."

Naoya smiled at the reluctant Koyuki.

It's not easy to point out what you think is wrong. Rather than being misunderstood, I was happy to see such straightforwardness.

Seeing Naoya and Koyuki, Kirihiko says, "Oh my God, they're flirting so smoothly... It's so nice to be young."

"I'm sorry, but is there any work you can do at home that requires the use of a... computer?"

"Indeed. Sometimes I'm really busy, so Sasahara-kun has been very helpful to me."

Kirihiko chuckled softly.

In fact, until a short while ago, the situation was very bad. But Kirihiko's face lit up.

"But I'm free today! So let's have lots of girl talk, Koyuki-chan!"

"Y, yes.."

Koyuki nodded with a somewhat stiff expression on her face.

An encounter with the onee character, an unknown, along with an acquaintance. It seems that her capacity is almost at its limit. So Naoya gently offers a helping hand.

"No, Kirihiko-san. I brought Shirogane-san here for a specific reason."

"What, you don't want to show her off?"

"Actually..."

Naoya rummaged through his bag and held out a book.

The first volume of "To the Ends of Other Worlds" returned from Koyuki.

"Shirogane-san. Yesterday she read this first volume, and it was so interesting that...she wants to read the rest of it."

"..."

The moment Kirihiko saw the cover, her face turned serious.

I don't know what she thought of it, but Koyuki added in a hurry.

"Ah, but I've already accepted an invitation to read it at someone else's plac--"

"All right."

"Huh."

Kirihiko stood up and gave a thumbs up with a.... big smile on her face.

"I'm going to go out for a bit!"

"Eh."

"So take your time, Koyuki-chan. Sasahara-kun, take care of the housework for me!"

"Yes. Have a good day."

After Naoya saw Kirihiko off, She left the store like the wind.

Koyuki watched her with a blank stare, but quickly began to panic...

"I'm sorry! Even though it's her house, you're kicking her out for me..."

"It's okay. She needs to get out once in a while."

Naoya only smiled wryly.

The result was that I had to kick her out, but this is a move I often use.

"She is capable of staying shut in the house for months, so it's fine. Otherwise she might not even know what season of the year it is."

"She's like a recluse..."

"I've been hired to make sure that doesn't happen. So I sometimes sent her out on errands to get the stuff I need"

"Sasahara-kun is like a mother..."

Koyuki tilted her head in wonder.

She then regained her composure and started to fidget as she took out volume two of the series.

"Well, can I read this then...? To tell you the truth, I've stopped at a pretty interesting place."

"Yeah, I'm just going to working over there. Give me a call if you need anything."

"Yeah. Thanks."

Nodding honestly, Koyuki opened her book.

Naoya secretly savored the sight of her.

(It's cute when you're pouty, but it's even cuter when you're honest...)

It's nothing but a love affair.

Grinning a bit, I was about to head out to clean up around the kitchen when I had an... "Oh" moment.

(It's just me and Shirogane-San in this house right now...!?)
