CH.444 Amilie’s Sentence

It was a few days later, and we were once again returning to the Dragon coast. But this time, we were planning to go even further, to the Nixie clan’s city.

We had been invited to come, as the clan was ready to give Amilie her final sentence, and they wanted our, Cailie and I, opinion on it. Plus, Larkos and Kikumi lived on HomeBase currently, and we had to bring them over as well.

For our travels, I decided to go with teleportation. No, not all of us would teleport, but I did leave that seal plate with Lady Janina for a reason. So I’ll be teleporting there, while Lua will pilot B.E.S. Crystal Core.

And yes, Lua did come with us. She wasn’t there last time, because she didn’t want to take too many days off of teaching, but this is just a day trip, and she can take a day off.

Ria also wanted to come, but Lua said she’d need to cover for her, so sadly no Ria on this adventure. But I did promise Ria a few days off, so she can visit any place she wants.

Agunan ended up asking for the same days off, and I think the two were planning on going somewhere together. Hopefully they won’t end up breaking anything.

But their vacation is up and coming, while our meeting is today, so let’s get back to it.

First of all, my teleportation went fine. No lost body parts, or anything else like that. I think I’m getting used to it. ... somewhat. Still can’t teleport with items in my hands.

I then spent the bit of time I had training with Lady Janina and entertaining the dragons, but once Crystal Core got there, I had to stop, and I got into the spaceship.

From there it didn’t take long for us to reach the island, and after saying hi to Jala and the other water dragons, we dove into the water.

Once we got to the underwater city, I was happy to see it be a lot more lively than on our last visit. I guess doubling the people and removing a dictator from power will do that for.

Our group got a warm welcome to the city and we were quickly guided to meet with the ‘old man’ and the rest of the dungeon council.

Yes, I’m still calling him ‘the old man’, even though he is an old merman. Neither he, nor his name, are that important, so he is the old man.

After I quickly introduced Lua to the council, and Lua and Alice leaving the room as they aren’t in any way a part of the council, we began our meeting.

And yes, both Cailie and I are technical members of the council. Yes, we aren’t active members, but we are technical members. They ask for our opinions on large decisions. I guess saving the clan will do that.

And yes, they do have a way of communicating with us. It is a type of link between the dungeon cores of their dungeon and HomeBase’s citadel core. I didn’t link it with the true core, because that might be a bit too risky, but the citadel core will work just fine for this.

So with that, we could send messages between the two dungeons, and once I made a dungeon program for it, we could even have video calls. That is how Larkos and Kikumi have been able to take part in meetings, despite them being at HomeBase.

Also, if you were wondering about dungeon programs, they are exactly what they sound like. They are programs or sets of instructions the dungeon core can run through as long as you start the command chain. Generally, they are used for monster and resource management, but you can do a lot of stuff with them, as long as you put in the time to program the commands.

And thankfully, I have this cheaty programmer called Tahlia in my mind, and she is quite skilled with the command chains. So she can do commands that allow two way communication between dungeon cores, including the aforementioned video calls.

And if you ask her, she will say it is only a prototype for her real goal, which is using the same magic the Hero’s country uses for the guild communicator network, to build us a full internet.

But enough about long term goals, we have a bitch ... a very annoying lady, to sentence.

“Death.”

And yes, the clan did try to add an option where Amilie is turned into a slave and made to serve HomeBase, but I refused to let her in. I mean, if I let her on HomeBase, I’d probably ‘accidentally’ teleport her to floor 42 or 49, the two ocean floors of HomeBase, and let the monsters there eat her.

But yeah. After the first vote, volcano prison had three votes, slavery to the clan had three votes and death had one vote. I do know who voted for death, so we could have just asked the old man break the tie, but instead we had another full vote, this time ending in a five to two split, and the volcano prison punishment winning out.

Don’t know who switched sides for the second vote, but it also doesn’t really matter to me. We still have one more person's punishment to pick before I get to build a prison.

The other merfolk we had to punish was Iremur, or as I call him, Amilie’s boy toy. He was still failing to see just how bad Amilie was to the clan, and was demanding Amilie be freed. ... he was also currently in prison inside the dungeon, but he didn’t have his skills sealed or anything.

His punishment was slavery and serving the clan. At first I thought that would mean I’d have to visit a slave merchant, but luckily the dragon heart dungeon was able to mark someone as a slave who would do as the dungeon master, or in this case masters, command, so we did that instead.

Getting permission for Lady Janina was easy, especially as Agunan is the technical master of the volcano, even if he isn’t here anymore. I did have to bribe a few other fire dragons though, but I do have some good karma with the dragons, so it wasn’t too difficult.

Bribing them to bring Amilie food and water was a bit more difficult, but after I promised them a weekly feast, they agreed to my suggestion. I’ll just have to teleport her once a week and give them a bunch of food made with Mystik Wok and they’ll be happy.

Making a lava golem was simple. Because I have a card called Lava Golem. And guess what, Lava Golem even has a nice birdcage for Amilie, so I don’t even have to worry about that.

I used an A-rank monster core and some of the magma from the volcano to build a makeshift lava golem, before I installed the card into it and brought the Lava Golem to life.

I then added Waboku to the cage to protect Amilie from any environmental damage. She would still be hot and bothered inside, but she shouldn’t take any actual damage. And best of all, it should prevent her from committing sudoku inside the prison.

I then returned to the clan, and told the council that the prison was ready.

The transportation of Amilie was a bit of a show. The clan wanted to see her go, so I did make it into just a bit of a spectacle, with me holding her with both Telekinesis and Dark Chain.

I naturally didn’t let any of the mer-folk to follow me all the way to the prison, but I’ll later show them the recording of me taking Amilie all the way there.

At first, Amilie was screaming and crying, trying to get anyone onto her side, but as the clan members just watched with indifference or disgust, she stopped until we were alone.

She then tried to sweet talk me into letting her go, which was honestly hilariously bad. She really assumed her dominatrix personality would work on me, but I just told her that I’m already engaged to her sister.

That really got her going, and she screamed the rest of the way, to the point where I ended up showing a dark chain into her mouth to shut her up.

Once she saw where I was taking her, Amilie really went off, but I didn’t let that stop me. I shoved her inside her little bird cage, locked the door and threw the key into the volcano, before I let her go from the hold I had on her with Dark Chain and Telekinesis.

I then explained to her how often she’d be getting food and water, which was once a day all at the same time, and recommended that she learn to split her meals from what she gets, before flying off and returning to the clan.

There I showed everyone the recording of me taking her to prison. Some did seemingly think that it may be a bit much, but they didn’t voice their opinions. And another similar, if not larger number of mer-folk voiced that she should have just been killed.

The old man didn’t let them argue about it, simply stating that this is the punishment the council had chosen and they would have to accept it.

Larkos and Kikumi then asked if I’d be willing to take a few more mer-folk students to HomeBase, which I agreed to, so I let both of them pick two to come with us to study on HomeBase. As long as the rest of the council agreed to let them leave.

Kikumi picked her younger sister and her sister's friend, while Larkos picked two young mer-folk males.

So with four new additions to the HomeBase student roster, we returned home.
