CH.450 D-Wheels

Name:Yugioh Card Summoner Author:
CH.450 D-Wheels

“Okay Cailie. I got your new monsters.” I told the mermaid.

“Really? Thank you!” Cailie flew at me and hugged me tight.

I have to say, lately she has been using her wheelchair less and less, using her Aerial Swimming skill instead. Most of the time, she only brings it out when she is tired.

She now also has access to Storage. System link, being a part of the harem and all of that. Of course I’d give her Storage access.

Cailie had returned the Armed Dragons to me after our dungeon adventure, and I accepted them back. She did keep the Mermaid Knight and Cure Mermaid I gave her though.

But now, she was getting new cards to replace what she ‘lost’. Starting off with the two Simorghs I had to act as her boss monsters. Simorgh, Bird of Divinity and Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry.

Spoiler[collapse]

Now I will fully admit that Divinity Simorgh is a bit dangerous because of its effect. But Cailie already has Cure Mermaid for HP recovery, and she is about to get a few more things.

Her main lineup of cards will be my entire Aroma package. She already likes the Aromage monsters, because they work with her on the CropFields, so I got more copies of all of them. Then I DNA Transplanted the two Synchroes to be Wind attribute instead of Light.

Spoiler[collapse]

It really wasn’t necessary, but it will make a clear difference between Cailie’s Aromaseraphy and my Aromaseraphy monsters.

I also installed a copy of both Aroma Garden and Aroma Gardening into the CropFields, making them a bit nicer. It wasn’t a big difference, but every little bit counts.

Then it was time for Cailie’s duel disk. She’d need one if she wanted to summon Synchro monsters.

I went through a few designs, like one that looked like a fish, one that was just a mermaid tail and one that looked like one of those glow sticks you’d see at an idol concert. The last one is because Cailie was an idol, but yeah, she didn’t like that one.

She ended up asking for one that looked like a flower, so I designed one that looked a bit like a rose. ... or Ivysaur and Venusaur, depends on who you ask.

Basically, in its ‘off’ state, the bracer looks a lot like a closed flower, but when active, it blooms fully, with the petals acting as the monster card zones.

For special features, I just added a speaker system to Cailie’s duel disk. It will help with her Battle Song skill. But other than that, it just looks pretty. I can always just make her another one if I want to add more features to it.

Also, for the first time ever, her duel disk is something only she can use, thanks to Owner’s Seal. I’ll be adding them to all of the duel disks in the future, but hers is the first.

After Cailie approved of her duel disk, I quickly showed her how to Synchro summon monsters.

Then it was time for a little fun on my part. Because I finally have enough Momentum for something I’ve been saving for. A duel runner, or a D-wheel, whichever you prefer.

It was a bit of a pain just resummoning my Aromaseraphy on repeat, as they were the only Synchro monsters I had. But I did it and I now have more than 500 Momentum.

I traded in the 500 Momentum and got myself a new tab in my Momentum Reactor tab.

Momentum Reactor [Summon D-Wheel][Customize D-Wheel] Gathered Momentum: 44[Use Momentum]

So I just hit the Summon D-Wheel button and the D-Wheel appeared next to me.

... and it looked like a piece of shit. It looked like some sort of a training D-Wheel, not like one of the badass D-Wheels I was expecting.

... okay, so for some reason, the image quality is that of a potato. If you want better quality, click this link.

[collapse]

It honestly looked like a kid's kick bike or something. So before I even took it for a ride, I unsummoned the thing and opened up the Customization tab.

In there, I saw a bunch of duel runners from the anime I could purchase, with Momentum naturally. Anything from Yusei’s Yusei Go to Z-one's ‘D-Wheel’ were available.

Spoiler[collapse]

Their cost varied on a variety of factors, such as top speed, acceleration, handling and so on, with more advanced D-Wheels cosing way more.Th.ê most uptodate novels are published on n(0)velbj)n(.)co/m

And just something like a colored D-Wheel already costs 1000 Momentum, and the prices don’t get cheaper as they get faster and better.

Spoiler

[collapse]

For those that want to know, Z-one’s D-Wheel costs 100,000 Momentum.

There was also a tab where I could design my own original D-Wheel, but even making one like that would cost Momentum. Basically, the more ‘stat points’ I’d give the D-Wheel, the more expensive it would be.

Again, the stats I can play with are top speed, acceleration, handling, durability and auto-pilot. I could also add additional features like ‘gliding’ and ‘flight’, but those add a ton to the cost.

I guess that explains why Z-one’s D-Wheel is so expensive. It has all of its stats beyond maxed out and comes with literally every feature available.

But yeah. With the Momentum I currently have, there is no way I’ll be able to make a D-Wheel better than the piece of ... practice equipment that I have.

So while I was salty, I did at least want to take my practice bike for a ride.

By the end of the ride, I learned an interesting fact. Riding a D-Wheel produces Momentum. Not a lot, repeat Synchro spam is way more efficient, but it is something.

The amount of Momentum generated isn’t based on distance traveled, but instead on speed at which you travel. And I know what you are going to say, ‘If you travel x time with y speed, you can calculate the distance. So it does depend on distance.’

So yes, but not really. It depends on speed. If I travel 100 km with a speed of 100 km/h, which is the fastest my ‘training bike’ can travel, I’ll get right around 1 Momentum.

But if I instead had a bike that could travel that same 100 km at a speed of 200 km/h, I’d get around 4 Momentum, despite spending only half the time riding the trip.

So if I were to ride a D-Wheel with a max speed of 100km/h for one hour, I’d get 1 Momentum, but if I ride an hour with a D-Wheel with a top speed of 200 km/h, it’d be more like 8 Momentum. The speed makes a big difference and I really need a better bike if I really want to even consider riding a D-Wheel to be a good way of generating Momentum.

So since I need more Momentum, I need more Synchro monsters. And you know what that means, right? Yeah. More packs.

Besides, I want that Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. It will work as a good dragon for Cailie, if I can’t get Stardust Dragon. She can also always have both.

So yeah. I’ll do ten packs of both Duelist Genesis and Crossroads of Chaos today as well, hoping for any Synchro monsters.

TDGS 1

Equip Shot, Book of Eclipse, Turbo Booster, Gonogo, Lightwave Tuning, Noisy Gnat, Quillbolt Hedgehog, Jutte Fighter, Grapple Blocker

[collapse]

Okay, so the only new card is Quillbolt Hedgehog. It is pretty good in the TCG, but not all that amazing for me. Free summons and all of that.

Next pack.

Iron Chain Coil, Poison Chain, Healing Wave Generator, Gadget Hauler, Morphtronic Clocken, Goblin Decoy Squad, Fragrance Storm, Revival Gift, Mad Archfiend

[collapse]

Healing Wave Generator is new, and I could probably use it to make some sort of a healing device. Not that one is necessary, but ... maybe I’ll look into it if I have the time.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CSOC 2

Gozen Match, Lineage of Destruction, The White Stone of Legend, Synchro Strike, Omega Goggles, Gadget Hauler, Bamboo Scrap, Jade Knight, The World Tree

[collapse]

Bamboo Scrap is new, but it isn’t amazing. Tribute a monster for two tokens, not really worth it. I guess in some situations it is, but yeah.

And since it is the only new card in this pack, next.

Spoiler

CSOC 3

Omega Goggles, Seed of Deception, Synchro Strike, Teleport, Plant Food Chain, Gigantic Cephalotus, Iron Chain Coil, DNA Checkup, Morphtronic Boomboxen

[collapse]

Teleport is new, but again, I don’t need it.

Morphtronic Boomboxen on the other hand. Well, it is a radio. That can attack twice. But more importantly, it is a radio. Radios have speakers, so I can get some speaker tech from it.

Not that I don’t already have functional speakers, but they aren’t the greatest, and Boomboxen might help.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CSOC 4

Lineage of Destruction, Plant Food Chain, Confusion Chaff, Botanical Girl, Fragrance Storm, Poison Chain, Morphtronic Monitron, Black Rose Dragon, Search Striker

[collapse]

Morphtronic Monitron isn’t something I need. I can just ... order my monster to change their battle position. I don’t need a continuous trap for that.

But Black Rose Dragon though. I think I just found Cailie’s dragon. I mean, it is perfect for her. She likes plants, so she’ll like the plant dragon. I hope. Sure Black Rose Dragon can be a bit destructive, but I think Cailie can handle it. I’ll just get another copy of the card and swap it to Wind attribute, and it will be perfect.

And it is my fifth Synchro, so I can get Clear Wing now.

But first, some more packs.

Spoiler

CSOC 5

Giant Trap Hole, Wall of Ivy, Zombie Mammoth, Morphtronic Cord, Synchro Strike, Morphtronic Engine, Power Injector, Cursed Fig, Morphtronic Radion

[collapse]

Morphtronic Radion is okay. The attack boost is good, as is the defense boost. Sadly it is just for Morphtronics, but that is just how it goes.

CSOC 6

Healing Wave Generator, Synchro Strike, Card Rotator, Zombie Mammoth, Omega Goggles, Gadget Hauler, DNA Checkup, Gigantic Cephalotus, Storm Caller

Nothing new, next.

Spoiler

CSOC 7

Jade Knight, Gadget Driver, Poison Chain, Card Rotator, Synchro Strike, Confusion Chaff, Seed of Deception, Bamboo Scrap, Cactus Fighter

[collapse]

Gadget Driver ... why? Just why? Why does all the Morphtronic support suck? No one cares that you can change the battle position of multiple Morphtronics at the same time. It doesn’t accomplish much. I guess you can get tokens for the Field spell, but that is about it.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CSOC 8

DNA Checkup, Morphtronic Monitron, Bamboo Scrap, Psychic Jumper, Power Injector, Gadget Hauler, Wall of Ivy, Mosaic Manticore, Machine Lord Ur

[collapse]

... okay. Why is Mosaic Manticore awful? Like yes, it lets you summon the tributed monsters back, but why can’t they attack and why are their effects negated? Just asking. But since I can normal summon it without tributes, it is just fine for me.

Machine Lord Ur is okay. It can attack everything, but sadly 1600 attack isn’t all that much.

Next pack.

Spoiler

CSOC 9

Morphtronic Cord, Psychic Jumper, Morphtronic Cameran, Omega Goggles, Morphtronic Monitron, Plant Food Chain, Gigantic Cephalotus, Comrade Swordsman of Landstar, Turbo Synchron

[collapse]

Nothing new. Last pack. And honestly, I don’t really even care what I get. The Black Rose Dragon was already enough.

... but I wouldn’t mind one more Synchro.

Spoiler

CSOC 10

Giant Trap Hole, Morphtronic Magnen, Doppelganger, Wall of Ivy, Gigantic Cephalotus, The White Stone of Legend, Goblin Decoy Squad, Mad Archfiend, Psychic Trigger

[collapse]

Well, no Synchro monster, but Psychic Trigger is new. It isn’t all that good, but collecting for the sake of collecting is fun, so I’ll take it.

Now, just a quick visit to the Factory. I need to get some more copies of Black Rose Dragon so that I can DNA Transplant one of them. Maybe I should even DNA Surgery it to be a Plant-type monster? I’ll consider that.
