In the interrogation room, Renae and Kaiden asked a few non-related questions, like how long he's been living here, to get him comfortable and willing to talk. "Please cooperate with us as you will just make things harder for everyone if you don't." Kaiden said with an increasingly serious tone. "We'd appreciate if you answer us truthfully as well." Renae said, calm and relaxed.
Larry looked at Kaiden with a ridiculing look. "Why did you rob the bank?" Renae asked. "I didn-" "You did, you robbed the bank." Renae interrupted him before he could finish his denial. "Where is Philip now?" This question was mainly to test his honesty. "I don't know." Larry replied. "Yes you do, you know very well where your partner went, don't deny it." Renae was firm with her statement, her tone convincing. Normally, interrogation was focused and no one was to interrupt, but at this moment, a policeman came in and called for Kaiden, leaving Renae alone to interrogate Larry.
Renae definitely had a personal grudge against the two robbers, but she knew she had to suppress the anger and be fair. Unlike Larry, Philip left a low profile. They weren't even able to find his social media. "Alright, sorry bout' that. Back to this. Tell me, where did Philip go when you two separated?" Renae continued, "I know you know. You know you know. Tell me. We have evidence right here, so just tell us." Larry's guilt was showing, he was on the verge of admitting to what he has done. Seeing this, Renae pushed on. "If you tell us now, you won't feel guilty anymore, right? Your shoulders are tired, aren't they? From holding on to the guilt for so long. Come on, release the guilt." With this, Larry was done. "He's staying at a cheap motel at a very hidden area of the city... I don't know what motel it is, so you're gonna have to let me message him and find out." Unfortunately, Renae was gullible and trusted his word immediately. Trying to contain herself, she replied, "Alright, no problem. Just wait right here."
Renae left the interrogation room and a smile crept onto her face. Without realising, she bumped into Kaiden. "Ah, sorry!" she exclaimed, immediately pushing away from him. Her face flushed a shade of pink, but she fearlessly looked up at him. "It's fine. You done with the interrogation? How'd it go?" He asked, seemingly unaffected by the little bump. "He confessed! He told me that Philip is staying at a motel in a hidden area of the city, but he has no idea what the motel name is and requested to message Philip to trick him into telling us his motel name." Renae explained, an excited look on her face. This, instead, made Kaiden slightly blush. He thought her excited face was as adorable as a puppy. "Alright, I'll head back into the interrogation room to wait for you."
