Chapter 181 - Break Time

Yu Yan was speechless. It seemed that they were indeed used as the bait. She glared at her husband but Long Ying kept a straight face. He would only answer her inquires when they were alone and not in front of these people. 

Lisa was amused when she watched the two people in front of her. Being young was truly enviable.

Afterwards, Long Ying send the two of them to the airport and personally sent them off. He looked happy after he watched them off. It seemed that dealing with the two annoying people were not something Long Ying exactly wanted to do. In any case, the two people were not needed for their next process, so they could leave first without the need to worry that it would affect the work here.

The cleaning up itself took a long time. Because of the destruction that occurred in the building, it was impossible to not admit that they were using guns. However, they did have license to use it but it was still not supposed to be allowed to be used on normal situation.

An Luo ended up staying in jail for a few days before he was released due to the fact that he was only giving self defense with the people tried to kill him. San Xia rebuked him harshly in the public as an act, to show that he was just an unfortunate husband that was caught in crossfire of some hidden dispute.

Reading the newspaper, Yu Yan had to admit that San Xia was really a good actress.

"It's too bad that San Xia didn't enter the entertainment industry. I'm sure she'll win the Oscar award for her acting." Yu Yan was watching the replay in the television and felt amused once more.

The two of them were watching the television since there were some reporters who came to the police station to inquire the situation. It was quite entertaining because there were several people there.

Long Ying arched his eyebrows. "She's acting for life, so there's no need for her to enter entertainment industry."

"True enough."

The reason why San Xia was acting was simply for her husband, so she had to do well at any cost. It was completely different from those who were acting in order to make a living or just because they like it.

Yu Yan stretched her hand. "Come to think of it, why are they dare to attack you in the open like that?"

She often thought that Long Ying's enemies would only attack covertly, which would give them advantage. If things were like this, there was high chance that the media mass and also police would catch wind of them and naturally would not let them off easily.

Long Ying arched his eyebrows. "Baby, do you forget my ability?"

Ability?

Oh.

Long Ying's eyes allowed him to see night as if it was daytime. If those enemies tried to ambush him at night, it would instead give him the advantage since they wouldn't be able to see clearly while Long Ying didn't have any problem to fight. 

Rather than making use of Long Ying's advantage, they chose to strike at daytime.

But…

"But they still attracted the attention of the higher ups, is it worth it?" Yu Yan asked in confusion.

"As long as they had the ability to hide and do things covertly, they'll be perfectly fine." Long Ying was not worried in the slightest bit. He knew how these organizations operated and some of them were not afraid to be exposed to the mass media.

Besides, they had tampered with the recordings in the area, allowing them to not be seen clearly. There were only some blurry records for those people to see while majority of them would not even be able to see them.

Yu Yan tugged Long Ying's sleeve. "What if they target you again?"

"Don't worry, I have made the necessary preparation." Long Ying smirked. He was purposely showing them a loophole so that they would initiate the attack. Afterwards, it was cleaning time.

It was not done yet, but he was confident that it wouldn't take a long time.

Yu Yan stared at her husband for some time before turning her attention back at the television. 

There were more people who got caught in the crossfire that day but An Luo was the only one who used gun back. The Dragon Clan also had sent some of their normal members who would be giving some clarifications and also got fined because of their action.

However, things didn't end badly because they also reported valuable information in exchange of having their members released. It only took a few days plus some paperwork to finish everything.

It was really fast.

Aside from the problems with the people, the destruction was also another thing that they needed to concern themselves with. Long Ying had already insured everything but the insurance company was unwilling to pay for everything. They only paid the base price and refused to bulge even when Long Ying pointed that they were being stingy.

It took some dispute later to make sure that Long Ying got all the compensation he needed. Looking at it, Yu Yan always felt that the insurance company was full of cheating people but Long Ying merely shrugged. They were not the only one who was filled with people who wanted to devour people from the moment they worked as a company which goal was to earn money.

What would they care about the poor customer?

However, Long Ying himself didn't really care and just looked at those insurance company without much attention. At most, he simply refused to work with them anymore. It was not like there was only one insurance company in the entire country. 

After several weeks of repairing things, the company started to work as usual again. But of course, earning money was never the goal of the company so they simply did enough to earn their wages and any volunteer job they took would allow them to keep their earning. 

That was one of the reason why the company was still working up until now.
