Chapter 183 - Losing Connections

And to think he spent so much time to get them in the past… how ironic.

In Bao Family Residence, Bao Wang was looking at his nephew without any emotion. "It's your decision, I can't help you."

Bao Tu was stunned. He looked at his uncle with disbelief. All this time, the one who held the most power in Bao Family was his uncle and naturally, Bao Tu was also a little afraid of him. Usually, his uncle was more amicable than this and would allow them to get some of their assets that would be their inheritance early if they wanted to do some business.

But this time…

His uncle rejected him mercilessly without even giving a chance for him to negotiate in the slightest bit.

"Uncle, why…?" Bao Tu was confused.

Bao Wang actually wanted to kick this little rascal out of the mansion as fast as possible because he understood that Long Ying was not joking when he made a warning for the Bao Family previously. If he dared to stand on Bao Tu's side, it was without a doubt that the entire Bao Family would be dragged down along with the brat.

He had been working for Bao Family for his entire life. How could he bear to see the entire family fall apart just because of one family member? Since the damage was done, all he could do was to make sure that Bao Tu would not bring more harm.

He couldn't side with Bao Tu.

Not if he wanted Bao Family intact.

"You have already used more than enough."

Bao Tu's face twitched when he recalled the money he borrowed from his uncle to buy the shares back then. He had already returned part of it and the rest was waived by his uncle by saying that it was his inheritance. However, the amount was negligible for such a big family like Bao Family.

"Uncle… I…"

"I can't help you anymore." Bao Wang's decision was final. He waved his hand. "Butler Bo, please see the guest out."

Guest?

It was only at this time Bao Tu realized that his uncle was treating him as if he was treating a stranger. It was even weirder considering that Bao Tu was part of Bao Family and normally his uncle would not be this cold.

"Uncle, why are you doing this?" Bao Tu asked in low tone. He couldn't believe that his uncle would kick him out of the Bao Family. He had worked hard to make sure that he could surpass his cousin and proved his worth to his uncle.

What did he do wrong?

Bao Wang looked at Bao Tu with the same expression. He actually wanted to tell this brat that the person whom he offended was someone who the Bao Family could never afford to offend.

But how could he possibly say that?

He didn't have the courage to reveal Long Ying's real identity. His head would be chopped if it was known that he was the one spreading this and the entire Bao Empire would fall.

"I'm afraid that I can't tell you, Bao Tu."

"Uncle, I…"

"Send the guest out."

The moment the order was repeated, Bao Tu knew that there was no chance for him to talk back anymore. He was stumped, helpless, and confused. This was the first time in his life that his uncle denied even his entry to the Bao Family.

The attitude of his uncle seemed as if he was sending off someone from other family rather than his family members.

'Does it mean, Uncle want to sever ties with me?'

Bao Tu was by no means stupid. He understood that his uncle was showing his stance by showing him the way out without giving him any chance to even give an excuse. Looking at the servants who didn't dare to look in his direction, he knew that he had lost the chance to stay in Bao Family.

It was an indirect confirmation.

Fire of anger burned within Bao Tu's heart. He looked back at the mansion as he walked out, silently vowing that he would make his uncle tasted regret in this life. He would make sure that he could stand at the very peak and look down at those who dared to look down on him!

He just needed some help and would be able to be successful. Now that his uncle denied his entrance, Bao Tu would need to look for someone else for him to be able to start his business again. While it might not be going well now, it doesn't mean that it would be the same in the future.

Bao Tu swore in his heart that he would be successful.

More than his uncle.

Walking to the car, Bao Tu entered angrily and slammed the door.

Slam!

"Young Master…." The driver was a bit afraid.

"Return back to the company."

"Yes, Young Master."

Back in the mansion, Bao Wang was silently watching from the window. He didn't want to abandon Bao Tu but Bao Family truly couldn't afford offending Long Family. If they dared to offend Long Family, it was clear that they would be driven out of City A without even any face left.

Not only face, they might not even have any money left to feed themselves.

"Uncle, are you not too harsh to Cousin Bao Tu?" A young man walked from the corridor. He was looking at his uncle with confusion. Truthfully, he had been listening in from time to time because he was here but he didn't expect to see his uncle treated his own cousin harshly.

That shocked him because he knew that no matter how harsh Bao Wang usually looked like, he would still care for the younger generation greatly and never dared to let them suffered that much.

"I can't help him." Bao Wang was firm in his decision. He turned around, looking at his nephew.. It has always been his biggest regret that he didn't have a child on his own, so the seat as the family head would eventually fall to his nephews who were clamoring around him.
