28 Seed Of Hope

Name:A Magical Destination Author:FlipC
The day passed with everyone having a big meal together to celebrate Bram's homecoming. Just with his addition, there was twice the amount of food the four of them usually had, and for good reason. The big hulk man shoveled food into his mouth like there was no tomorrow with a bottomless pit as a stomach. Laura, the other glutton, was motivated and she ate with even more zest. The two of them were sitting next to each other and it looked like a master and disciple act.

Loudly laughing the whole time, Bram was enjoying his first proper meal for six months. Alcohol was even brought out and Austin saw his mother tipsy for the first time. The entire atmosphere in the Residence was like a happy festival.

At the end of their meal, Elena announced they would be leaving in a few days.

After their 'steamy' reunion, she told Bram about what happened to Austin when he was away, not leaving out any details and describing the story in full. Bram, finding out about Austin's unique constitution and the ridiculous things he had done could hardly believe it. He expected his child's talent to be high in the path of magic, but Austin was not in the realm of normal.

Elena was an elite Mage, but she had become a maid that stayed in the Palace and stopped participating in outside endeavors. Bram, on the other hand, was one of the top adventurers in the whole continent. He had seen many more things than Elena and had a lot more fighting experience. In terms of knowledge of Mages in Fantasia, he was among the richest in it. Therefore, he simply could not believe Elena's words at first and asked repeatedly to confirm if his ears were working correctly.

Austin's case could not be described as 'rare' anymore, it was truly a one of a kind abnormality that has never occurred in the world of magic. Bram immediately understood how severe the situation was and the grave dangers that would fall if Austin's talent in magic was ever discovered. Although Bram played dumb, he was definitely not as clueless as he looked. This issue was regarding his treasured son.

When Elena revealed she had not told anyone about the situation yet, Bram let out a deep breath of relief. "Good, you did the right thing. This matter is too important, we cannot afford to make any mistakes... We indeed should live somewhere else in seclusion for a while, at least until Austin grows up and matures his powers. Haaa... though it does pain me to have to give up adventuring. Haha, how did we give birth to such a monster Elena."

"Don't ask me. I'm only glad we will finally be able to spend time as a family together. Even after our son came into the world, you did not stop doing those dangerous things. I know you are plenty capable but I get so worried every time you leave... This time, you even left for an entire six months!"

Seeing the upset Elena who turned her back to him in grief, Bram hugged her and softly laughed. "Sorry dear, but you know what kind of a person I am. I can't help myself when I think about a part of the world waiting to be explored. But my family is of course the most important in the world! I will retire for now and look after my precious wife and son."

"Good." Elena happily smiled and their lips intertwined in an affectionate kiss.

...

In the darkness of the night, a maid's blurry figure could be seen appearing and disappearing in the shadowy alleys, getting closer to the Royal Palace.

Ral sat in solitude and silence on the throne. The air stifled in his oppressive aura with only the reflections of the moon's shimmering glow serving as light.

A woman suddenly appeared before Ral, putting one knee down in reverence. She was the maid Austin had seen in the Residence.

"King."

"Report."

"In a week's time, Austin will be leaving. Elena and Bram will be traveling with him."

Ral's eye twitched. "Bram? He came back? That man will be troublesome..."

"Take ghost squadrons 1 and 2. Make sure they have moved far enough from the Palace before you intercept. Elizabeth must not find out at all costs. As for Bram..."

Suddenly a profound voice descended, echoing through the grand hall.

"Proceed as planned, your uncles will take care of that man."

...

Laura was laying down in bed as Austin sat on a small stool next to her, reading a bed-time story. Her eyes were trained attentively on him as a soothing voice trickled out elegantly.

"And the two lived happily ever after."

Austin closed the book and put it down.

"Can you read it again?" Laura said with sparkling eyes.

"You've heard it so many times already. It's time to sleep now." Austin came forwards to tuck her underneath the blanket. Laura looked like she wanted to argue but didn't say anything more.

Laura whimpered. "I don't think I can fall asleep Austin..." She wanted him to sleep with him but he clearly did not plan to.

Austin smiled helplessly, sitting himself back on the small stool. "I will stay here until you do then."

"Mn." Laura closed her eyes looking like she was going to sleep but turned around to Austin a few moments later. She brought out her snow-white arm from under the blanket and extended it towards Austin. "Can you hold my hand?"

"Okay."

Austin smiled and held onto her soft hand. They will be separating soon so he had to give in to her a bit.

"I want to be like the Princess in the book." Laura softly said whilst staring into the ceiling

Austin inquired, "how so?"

"I... don't know. But she was able to make her dreams come true!"

Austin, remembering a certain friend in his past life, reminiscently said in a calming ocean tone. "that's because she had courage, was strong and endured when everyone was against her. She overcame many hardships to fight for her dream."

Laura did not know the words Austin used, but what he said resonated in her heart. The corners of her mouth widened as a seed of hope grew into a sprout of determination. Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.novelhall.com for visiting.
