Thomas saw April approaching him and she had that fire in her eyes, it was the same fire that Noah loved that he had learned to dread. Whatever she had planned was probably idiotic, dangerous or both.
April walked towards Teo and Thomas, Thomas stood with his arms folded but Teo was much more relaxed. She wasn't sure when Thomas had got here so she greeted him first, "Hey Thomas, when?..."
"No, whatever it is you're about to ask, no is the answer." Thomas interrupted her words, refusing her outright. He didn't want her to end up in any harm especially when Noah was away on business.
He glanced over her shoulder and glared at Kai. What had he asked of Ivy and what was their relationship?
Ivy laughed, she was used to her stoic guard's response by now so it didn't phase her in the least and she had of course expected some resistance.. If it had just been Teo they could have left the club already, but Thomas would have questions.
Teo watched the interaction, he didn't know how Thomas was able to refuse Ivy like that, as he could never say no to her. She had saved him and she was now like a sister to him so he would feel uncomfortable saying no to any of her requests. He didn't care if he got into trouble as long as she was happy.
Ivy sighed as she tried to think of a new plan originally she had wanted to use one of Noah's most expensive cars and go straight to the company's headquarters and talk her way into helping Kai. She wouldn't have used Noah's name but anyone who knows Noah would recognise Thomas and his expensive signature car that he always used.
She had her pride and never used Noah's name for anything, it was a stubborn trait of hers but for others like Pierce, Jamie or Kai she had no problem using his name or asking for help. In this case, if Thomas was unwilling to indulge her then she would have to speak with Noah and get permission first before Thomas would let her do anything.
It wasn't dangerous per se, yes it was an illegal business that Kai was messed up in but with Noah as her lover she had no fear. Rolling her eyes at the stoic Thomas she smiled at Teo before going back to her seat and re-joining Kai.
"Your back, do you want to stay here for a bit longer or do you want to go somewhere else?" Kai asked, he hoped to spend as much time with Ivy as possible. Meeting her here and now felt serendipitous.
Ivy thought before answering, "Let's go, I have an idea." Ivy picked up her bag and stood up. She walked towards Thomas and Teo and introduced them all to one another.
Thomas glared at Kai and ignored the introduction that Ivy was giving. Men knew what other men were thinking and he had seen the way Kai looked at Ivy. Noah never minded her hanging out with Jamie and Pierce and gave her her privacy with them as they were clearly friends but this guy seemed to like Ivy as more than just a friend.
Teo smiled at Kai, "Hi I am Teo, Ivy's friend and guard."
Kai nodded at both of the men he didn't care enough to meet them he then turned to Ivy, "Why do you need two bodyguards?" He questioned.
Ivy nervously put her hair behind her ear and answered, "It's a long story." It was a long story, the short explanation was that Noah was her lover but that would lead to even more questions and she would rather sort Kai's problem than sit all night going over her relationship.
"We have time to chat now… unless you are tired," Kai asked.
"No no, I am not tired but I was thinking of sorting out your wee problem first." Ivy replied before turning to Thomas, "Let's go."
Kai laughed, she said wee problem as if it was nothing. She was still as bright and positive as she had always been, she was his sun.
Ivy then walked out of the club, Teo led the way, Kai was by her side pushing away the bodies as they swayed to the music and Thomas was behind them to keep an eye on not only the other patrons of the club but Kai also.
Teo held the door open wide and they exited the club. It was completely dark now and tiny stars glittered the night's sky. The wind blew and it sent a chill up Ivy's spine as she shuddered with the cold. Kai placed his jacket around her shoulders to shelter her from the wind and she smiled and thanked him.
She was completely unaware that just two meters away a paparazzi was in the bushes taking a few shots of what seemed to be an intimate moment.
Teo glanced around but didn't see the valet he turned to Ivy and Thomas, "I will get the car." He then rushed off to get the car from the parking garage.
Kai's bodyguards stood to the side of him, he had always brought them around but had always asked them keep some distance when he was with friends and they understood what Ivy could mean to their boss so they gave him privacy.
Seeing a small flash out of the corner of his eye Thomas turned his head and squinted his eyes and spotted the paparazzi, he spoke to Ivy, "Just a moment." Thomas then walked towards the bushes and pulled out the paparazzi. Thomas took the camera from him and immediately started to delete all the pictures of Ivy.
The paparazzi was a young man and he protested and tried to get his camera from Thomas but Thomas didn't flinch.
Kai realised what must have happened and he wanted to protect Ivy too so he signalled for one of his men to help Thomas with the Young paparazzi.
