Chapter 153 - Extreme Force

The young paparazzi was now swinging his fists and cursing at anyone who came close. It caused people to stop and stare creating more of an annoyance. But Thomas carried on as if nothing was happening as he diligently removed each photo carefully from the camera, his priority was stopping news leaking of Ivy.

With the commotion that was going on to the left of them, another two of Kai's men went over to help out. Although it was only one man, the young man was tenacious as he tried to get his camera back.

Kai and Ivy were now left alone as they waited for Teo to being Ivy's car around. Ivy knew Thomas could handle himself so she left him to it as she looked up at the night's sky.

Kai was lost in thought as she glanced at Ivy, she was so beautiful on the inside and out, she was one in a million. In a world full of materialistic people she was grounded and genuine. He had so many things to express to her but they were all lost as he watched her stare up into the night's sky. He could easily spend the rest of his life doing just that he thought.

"It's amazing isn't it, all those little lights up there are billions of miles away. Remember when I used to think they were angels watching over us and then Jamie ruined it by telling me the scientific truth that stars were burning planets and I argued with him and I cried for hours afterwards. I was so young and silly then. You came over and told me I could believe in whatever I liked and it soothed me." Ivy smiled as she continued to stare up into the night sky, as that memory popped into her head she then remembered another night she had had with Noah under the star, she beamed at the thought of that romantic night and her cheeks heated as she thought of the intimate parts of that evening, Noah had an insatiable appetite for her and she could barely keep up.

Kai kept his eyes on Ivy "Of course I remember, I remember everything we did together." He did remember all their interactions, they were each too special to him to forget.

Ivy shook away her intimate thoughts of Noah and glanced at Kai, "You have a good memory, and I only remember weird facts or times like that that we spent together."

Kai stared at her heated cheeks and wondered if it was the chill of the evening air or if she was feeling the way he was. He reached out to touch her soft cheeks with his hand as he said "Ivy…"

Ring Ring

Ivy recognised her lovers set ringtone and took her phone out of her bag, "Sorry I have to take this." She explained to Kai.

Kai sighed the courage he had worked up was now gone and could only stand beside her as she answered the phone, he hoped for another chance to express his feelings towards her.

Ivy hit the green answer call button and held the phone to her ear, "I thought you were busy taking over another City."

Noah laughed at the other end of the phone, she always had a way to make him smile, "Mmm, the proceedings are going quicker than expected. I will be home soon." He had wanted to see her, he realised that he should have taken her with him as soon as he got on the plane.

She heard his cello like voice through the phone and she got instant butterflies, "I hope you are taking breaks between meetings, don't get too tired and overwork yourself. Listen to me you have turned me into a nagging housewife." She rolled her eyes at herself as she spoke.

"It's okay I don't see it as nagging I see it as you caring for me," Noah replied. "Anyway what are you up to this evening?" This was why he had rung, he felt something was up and rushed through the dinner banquet he was attending.

"Watch out!" Thomas shouted and rushed towards Ivy.

A tall, broad figure came rushing out of a car and held on to Ivy's leg.

It all happened so quickly but Kai was quick to act, he saw a man on the ground holding onto Ivy's leg. Ivy seemed to be in shock as she stared down at the man so Kai quickly removed him from her leg and gave him a kick which sent him flying against the pavement.

Ivy who was shocked found her words and asked, "What… What happened to you?"

"Ivy please, please take me back." Cole lay on the ground panting, he finally had the chance to speak with Ivy he could miss out.

"What happened to your arm?" Ivy noticed Cole's attempts to sit up and noticed he only had one arm.

"Please Ivy help me." Cole struggled to sit up and asked Ivy as he reached out his arm.

"Ivy Teo has the car ready." Thomas came and stood beside Ivy as she was pale with shock. He wanted her to just leave Cole but knew her nature well enough to know she wouldn't just leave him like that.

"But… wait." Ivy stepped forward but Kai stopped her and held her arm. She stood and asked Cole, "Cole what happened to your arm?"

"It was Noah because I took your home and was planning on staying working in the company, he made me sign them all back to you which I would have done anyway. I'm sorry I did all that I didn't mean to. I lost my mind for a moment please take me back. I will be better, I can be better." Cole now sitting up was trying to stand up properly. After losing his arm and being in hospital he hadn't been looking after himself properly and now any movement had left him fatigued.

Noah who was listening to everything as Ivy had not hung up yet was furious, Cole had turned up as soon as he had got the chance and dared to touch his lover. He knew leaving him alive was the wrong decision and now Ivy was aware of what he had done he didn't know if she would allow him to kill Cole. How dare he touch what's mine thought Noah. His fist clenched and he punched the desk, with a loud snap the wood broke with the extreme force.

Aiden who was standing nearby gulped nervously. Someone is about to die he thought.
