On the eastern coast, Hycis froze a lock on the door as Nylian created an overcast on the surrounding skies to hide their activities.

Once the door was open, a long dark tunnel met their eyes.

"Mikaela said there should be a security system set up…" Nylian looked around the opening of the tunnel's walls, "...there!"

Pointing to a red light, Hycis nodded his head at Nylian.

Pulling a device from his pocket, Nylian held it up to the red light and waited for it to turn green.

It took a while, but before long, the red turned to green and they could hear all the mechanisms unlocking.

"Where the hell did Mikaela get such a thing?" Hycis whispered, amazed again for the second time at seeing how easily they are able to get pass the security measures in these bases.

"Let's go."

"En."

In the tunnel they still walking cautiously, in case something might pop out. When they got to the end of tunnel, Nylian once again held up the device to the door.

When the light turn green on that door, Nylian turned to Hycis, "Ready?"

Hycis got into position. He needed to freeze anyone who is guarding the door before they could let out a shout or a warning. They learned from they mistake last time that very nearly got them killed if Nylian didn't quickly create a fog to hide their appearance where a soldier spot them.

"En…"

"1...2...3!"

As Nylian opened the door softly, Hycis saw two guards caught by surprise and instantly froze them in the position that they were in.

Letting out a breath, they moved along.

"According to Mikaela's map, we should take a left and then the stairwell should lead us straight towards their food supply room." Hycis stated after taking a glance at their location.

"Okay."

Creeping like two little mice through the base's halls, they found their way to the food supply room with only one close call.

While they were walking down the stairwell and guard was walking up. With nowhere to hide, Nylian quickly thinking had him and Hycis hanging from hooks made of ice on the ceiling.

The guard walked right underneath their dangling feet without realizing that two intruders were over his head.

The minute the coast was clear, they jumped down and walked the rest of the way down.

At the door, Nylian once again held up Mikaela's device and unlocked the lock. Entering the room, they were met with rows and rows of stored food.

"Where should we put it this time?" Hycis asked.

"A place where they are bound the use frequently…" Both of them looked at each other and said at the same time, "...water."

With the banquet already had taken place, they needed to correspond with Mikaela' and Prince Ailwin's plan, or everything will fall a part.

So instead of putting at in the food like Celaena and Kaze had done, they chose to put the virus in the base's water supply.

Searching for the main water valve, Hycis and Nylian didn't hear the footsteps coming down the stairs until the person had opened the door.

Since the two of them were only standing three meters from one another, they knew the new person was not one of them.

The guard, who came in to sneak some snacks out of the food storage area, called out when he felt someone in the room with him.

"I said, who is there!?" He called out again, "Come out now before I spring the alarm!" He held out his gun.

When no one continued to answer, the guard walked deeper into the room with his gun out.

Standing among row of shelves, the two males used hand signals to formulate a plan.

Since the guard was moving closer to Nylian, he will distract him while Hycis sneaks up from behind to freeze him. Of course this will give them away and will likely ruin Mikaela's plans, but they had no other choice.

Step by step, they heard the guard getting closer to them. Readying themselves, they were waiting for the right time to attack.

Just when the guard was about to come in contact with Nylian, a Mist Rat ran in front of the guard's feet, scarying the hell out of him.

"Ahh!... Damnit! Those shifty rats!" The guard vehemently cursed.

Unlike other mammals on this planet, no one like these creatures. Able to mist through walls and floors, they are the bane of all food storage rooms and kitchens, since it's very hard for anyone to catch them.

The guard continued cursing as he grabbed his snack before leaving the room.

Hycis and Nylian, looked at each other and then smiled. They don't like Mist Rats either but they couldn't hate them now that a one help them out.

Rushing to complete the task before another guards shows up, they threw caution to the wind and found the valve behind a separate door.

Giving the bottle with the virus to Hycis, Nylian went to guard the door.

Carefully pouring out the liquid and turning it into a long icicle before it could touch the ground, Hycis inserted it into the open valve and guided down into the base's main water supply.

Once he was sure it reached it's goal he left the room, "Done."

Now all they have to do is escape without anyone knowing. Going back they way they came, Nylian and Hycis stopped at the two froze guards.

This was the most crucial part in their plan. They needed to unfreeze the two males before making their escape, without being noticed.

Nylian opened both the entrance and exit to the tunnel, once he was outside he gave Hycis the go ahead.

Hycis gradually unfroze the two males leaving their heads for last then took off down the tunnel, closing the door behind him.

When he reached the other end of the tunnel, the two males were already unfrozen and confused, but had no time to look for answers as Nylian sent lighting blots towards the base, short circuiting their power.

Alarms rang and dozen of soldiers came running out to fix the problem and secure the entrances and exits.

With everything done on their end, Nylian and Hycis hiked back towards their camouflaged shuttle and made their way to the meeting point.
