Chapter 48

TL-Mechatronic

“How’s the water temperature?”

“It’s all right.”

“Then you should at least say, “Really nice, how did you know my preferences? Nina’s the best.”

“That was what I meant.”

“Ah-…… Really.”

Nina squatted behind the divider and giggled.

Adrian touched the bathtub. It must’ve been sanded with a great deal of effort for the wooden bathtub to be so smooth that it gleamed. Partitions and accessories placed in the bathroom were also very elaborate.

Adrian leaned deep in the bathtub and exhaled for a long time.

Nina smiled at the sound, she knew well that he likes water.

Everyone would say that he was an aristocrat that’s why he washes for a long time, but Adrian just plainly loves the water.

If there was just a lake clean enough for humans to swim in within the Violet Forest, he must’ve gone many times swimming in it.

So Nina made a special effort in the bathroom. This alone slipped a big chunk of money out of the accounting budget.

She wanted to see Adrian’s satisfied face, so she said, she would follow him. Nina felt better because she could notice his subtle satisfaction.

“Nina.”

“Yes.”

“Thanks.”

Adrian greeted in a low voice. He was surprised to hear that she was going to attend to him with his bath, but seeing her face saying, “Come on, quickly praise me,” he realized that it wasn’t really the attend’ that he expected to hear.

He thought that there would be something she wanted to brag about, but he never thought that she decorated the bathroom.

He doesn’t know how many years it’s been since he completely immersed himself in the water.

His head was a little hazy, so he leaned his head on the edge of the bathtub.

The Silver Lake Castle, the mansion of the Duke of Luverne, literally as the name says, has a beautiful lake.

He has never swum in it, but he thought that he could easily jump into it with Nina.

We would jump in with a splash.

With the light sound of water, the sensation of water pressing down on the whole body, the strange sense of floating around, the holding of breath, and the sensation of sinking into the deep darkness….

“Ahhhh, young master!!”

Nina’s voice brought him back to his senses. She was pulling him out of the water.

“Nina, I’m okay.”

“Ah.”

At Adrian’s words, Nina let go of her hands carefully. As soon as the back of the wet hand came out, Adrian kissed it.

Nina, who didn’t notice, said while fiddling with her wet sleeve.

“I’ll go change. Don’t fall asleep in the bathtub again while I’m out.”

There was no answer.

Nina was already a little curious and nervous for a while, when the answer, “Yes,” came back.

Even with her eyes closed, she easily found the entrance. (TL: Oh, she was with her eyes closed the entire scene, how cute.)

As the bathroom door closed and Nina’s light footsteps faded away, Adrian swept his face down with both hands.

There was a degree of self-awareness that he had done something shameful.

His temperature went up, added to the fact he was in the bathtub for a while, he stood up. If he stays like this, he might really fall down in the bathroom before Nina comes back.

“What am I doing?’

He realized that his question was wrong.

‘What do I want to do?’

Yes, that’s the more accurate question.

Wearing a gown, he went out of the bathroom and opened the balcony window. The cool air cooled his body.

It is not visible, but there is a purple forest in the distance. When he first arrived in that dark purple-filled forest, he thought his future was no different.

The darkness, a sinking shadow.

It is there, but it has no substance and is intangible.

His mother was an opera singer. Splendid performance, shiny clothes, and a high-pitched voice.

The white hands stroking him were beautiful, and her humming song was as sweet as flowing from a harp. But he couldn’t call her mother.

He was always like a shadow on the other side of the colorful decorative curtains, behind the shining stage decorations.

So, the moment he signed a contract with the spirit of darkness, the dark shadow sucked him in, like an old, friend.

‘Ah, I knew it’. He kept convincing himself.

“Young Master, you will catch a cold.”

Nina, who had changed into comfortable clothes, suddenly fell from the sky.

Golden eyes sparkled in front of his nose.

Adrian was speechless for a moment, then shoved her away.

“Stop coming and going through the window.”

She ran from the next balcony to this balcony.

“This is the fastest way but, I’ll refrain from doing so from now on.”

Nina said as she came down from the railing,

“My room is next door.”

When Adrian added, “It’s fast enough to walk,” Nina murmured quietly, “But it’s faster to jump over the balcony.”

Nina, who was coughing to change the topic, said in a preaching attitude.

“If you don’t dry your hair and get hit by the cold wind with a wet body, you will catch a cold.”

“Nina can dry it.”

At that, Nina paused and then giggled while grabbing his arm and dragging him.

“What’s this? Why are you suddenly acting spoiled, making me happy.”

While Nina, who sat him on the sofa, went to get a towel, Adrian descended to the floor and sat down.

Nina sat on the sofa without saying anything. Adrian leaned against her leg and she began to dry his hair.

While she was humming and gently rubbing his head Adrian let out a satisfying sound.

Nina smiled and began to massage Adrian’s scalp over the towel that covered his head.

All the time the two were in silence, and by the time his hair was half dry, he whispered with his cheek against her thigh.

“I missed you.”

Nina tilted her upper body and answered quietly.

“I missed you, too.”

“I didn’t know you would fly there in the middle of the night.”

“I just went there to hear your voice. Furthermore, it’s the Young Master who called me.”

“Right, it’s my fault.”

“Is it wrong that I went to see you?”

“No, Nina didn’t do anything wrong.”

Adrian grinned, got up from his seat, and sat next to her. Then, he lightly lifted Nina up, placed her on his legs, and said.

“So, the Grand Sage?”

While rubbing his head again with a new dry towel she had next to her, Nina said.

“I was wondering if he’d really come, but he really did.”

Nina began to report what had happened after he left with a cheerful and happy voice. In the middle, Adrian was curious about Nina’s story. “Fighting a hundred people at once? I thought you were picking knights.” (Adrian)

“Don’t worry, we will be filled once we pick up the servants from the Chara Viscounty.” (Nina) “The Grand Sage ……” (Nina) And at the end of the story, “Hair loss treatment lotion?” He asked back in a strange tone and burst into laughter. ‘What?’ When Nina quickly raised the towel, he stopped laughing and looked at Nina.

Adrian always smiles, but he rarely laughs out loud, so she wanted to see it.

Tsk. She threw the towel, feeling sorry for not seeing it. His hair was already almost dry anyway.

Now, she just needs to comb, lock them neatly, and hold them in place.

“I think we need to get in touch with the merchants. I’ve talked with Sir Louis, but a man named Lorocomo looks fine.”

“Okay.”

Nina held his face with both hands. Pressing her face closer, she asked.

“What about you?” “I went to negotiate with Pocco, and as you can see, it was successful, and everything went perfectly fine.”

“I am not a fool.”

Adrian apologized while looking at the sun-like eyes that shot straight at him.

“Sorry, it’s a habit.”

“I will forgive you.”

Adrian expressed his gratitude for her generosity, and as Adrian was sharing his stories, Nina eagerly listened to him.

“You were attacked three times?” (Nina)

“Oh, you’ve seen it, too. Isn’t that tree amazing? Doesn’t the seeds shine beautifully?”(Nina)

“And Sir Louis is really awesome, using unarmed personnel. I have to learn that.” (Nina)

In the end, Nina burst out laughing, while saying, “So, that’s what you negotiated with Pocco.”

Seeing her smile and feeling the vibrations of her laugh, Adrian squinted his eyes.

“Well, in a way, I’m a little sad.”(Nina)

“From the moment she left the Karak workshop, her future was already set.” (Adrian)

“You mean she should have stayed there and fought for the succession?”

“Yes.”

Nina smiled bitterly at Adrian’s words.

Adrian fought to keep his seat. Because they were in the same boat, it was something he could say, Although she doesn’t think it’s completely the same.

Nina tilted her head and stopped moving.

It was a hound-like movement that noticed something.

Reflexively, Adrian reached out to his waist in search of a weapon, realizing he was wearing a gown, he bit his lips.

Then he thought of a dagger inside Nina’s boots and slowly reached out to her boots, she whispered.

“I don’t think it’s an enemy.”

She quickly got off the sofa and headed for the balcony When she opened the window, there was a man who was absorbed in touching the balcony.

“Who are you?”
