Chapter 210 - Disappointed with Her Brother

"Sister-in-law, I thought you have left when I did not see you," Zhang Yu Ying chirped when she saw Li Qin Yao. She studied her expression and smiled when she did not see anything amiss from her future sister-in-law.

Unlike her brother, Li Qin Yao was giving her a welcoming smile when she saw her. 

As expected, her sister-in-law treated her better than her brother!

"When did you get here?" Li Qin Yao asked.

"A while ago," Zhang Yu Ying smiled. "I rang the bell many times before my brother showed up at the door."

"Hmm… The doorbell is broken," Zhang Yu Han spoke with a straight face. "Sometimes, it doesn't ring no matter how much you press on it. I'll have the maintenance to check on it."

Li Qin Yao tried not to laugh at his obvious lies.

Zhang Yu Ying let out a sigh. Then she went to her brother and spoke in a low voice, "I could have entered using the passcode, but I was afraid that I might see something I shouldn't. You were not doing something inappropriate right?" she looked around and saw two ŀȧptops at two different positions.

She spied at the ŀȧptop and saw that both of them had work-related documents displayed on the screen.

She had given him the chance to be alone with his girlfriend, but he still chose to work.

"Thank you for your consideration," Zhang Yu Han narrowed his eyes dangerously at his sister. He did not know what his sister was thinking, but he did not like the look on her face right now.

Li Qin Yao watched as the two siblings bantered. She always loved watching the brother and sister interacted that sometimes she would get jealous over their relationship. After all, she had never experienced the feeling of having a sibling.

At times, it would seem as if the siblings were arguing, and Zhang Yu Han was treating his sister harshly. But it was apparent that the siblings cared for each other.

Li Qin Yao wondered if her brother was still alive, would she had a similar relationship as the siblings?

"Right," Zhang Yu Ying was quick to run away from her brother and hid beside her Li Qin Yao. "Sister-in-law, I brought you something." She lifted the bags in her hand and took out a brown paper bag . "I was worried that you might not have a change of clothes. So I brought everything according to your size. There are some toiletries in there too."

Li Qin Yao's eyes brightened at her words. She was getting uncomfortable in her yesterday's suit and slack, but had not any clothes to change to and she was too embarrassed to ask to borrow from Zhang Yu Han earlier.

Fortunately, the weather was getting colder, and she did not sweat a lot. It was still bearable to wear yesterday's clothes.

Casting a thankful glance, Li Qin Yao then said, "Yu Ying, thank you!"

Zhang Yu Han leaned on the wall with his arms crossed on his ċhėst. Because of his sister's keen observation and thought, he decided to forgive his sister for disturbing their couple moments earlier.

"Don't mention it," Zhang Yu Ying smiled brightly. "It was the least I could do after you helped to look after my brother." She glanced at her brother and continued. "Sister-in-law, it must be hard for you."

After thanking Zhang Yu Ying for a bit more, Li Qin Yao was pushed into the guest room so that she can get changed into something more comfortable. 

"Have you guys had your breakfast?" Zhang Yu Ying brought another bag into the kitchen before she pulled out a few container boxes onto the kitchen counter. "Auntie Wu made you something when I told her that I'll be visiting. We both know how you don't keep much food around here."

"We had our breakfast," Zhang Yu Han said. "Qin Yao made some congee earlier."

Zhang Yu Ying paused. She turned to her brother with a shocked expression on her face. "No way. With what ingredients?"

"What do you mean?" Zhang Yu Han's cast an annoyed look at his sister. "I still have some rice and other ingredients lying somewhere in the kitchen."

Zhang Yu Ying walked over to the refrigerator and peered inside. There were a few eggs, a wilted spring onion, and lots of instant food inside. The corner of her lips twitched as she wondered how did Li Qin Yao manage to whipped anything out of those ingredients.

"Since you have eaten, then you can have these for lunch. Just remember to reheat them later before you eat," Zhang Yu Ying said before she shoved the container inside the refrigerator. "I already told Grandfather that you won't be coming to the office today."

Then she walked over to her brother and placed a hand on his forehead. "It's good that your fever has reduced. You don't know how worried my sister-in-law sounded like when she called me yesterday. You shouldn't make her worry."

Zhang Yu Han's frowned as he imagined her panic. "I know." He tilted his gaze down and said, "Thank you."

The siblings turned around as they heard a movement behind them and saw Li Qin Yao stood not far from them in a t-shirt and shorts.

Finding that the siblings were staring at her, Li Qin Yao suddenly felt shy. She found that it does felt a little weird to dress comfortably in her boyfriend's apartment. 

It bore a feeling as if she was living with him and that thought only turned her face a shade redder.

Zhang Yu Ying went over to Li Qin Yao and walked around as if inspecting her. "Hmm... I know I chose the right size." She smiled in satisfaction. "Sister-in-law, are you planning to go back to B City today?"

Zhang Yu Han paused as he heard her question. He was enjoying spending his time with his girlfriend with just the two of them. 

To suddenly hear that she will return to B City later, Zhang Yu Han found that he was unprepared for it. How he wished that he could make her stay forever.

"Hmm... I'm planning to go back in the evening. Probably before the rush hour." Li Qin Yao said.

"Then... sister-in-law, you should wait for me. I'll give you a ride." Zhang Yu Ying said.

"I can give you a ride," Zhang Yu Han spoke quickly. He looked askance at his sister.

"You still need to rest," Li Qin Yao rejected.

Zhang Yu Han let out a helpless sigh. The look on her eyes was told him that he would be in trouble if he did not listen to her request.

Then Li Qin Yao turned to Zhang Yu Ying and smiled. "Don't worry about me. I'll catch the train to B City."

"Sister-in-law, don't be too polite with me. It's fine. I'm heading to B City after work to meet up with a few friends," Zhang Yu Ying said. "It won't be a problem if I drop you along the way."
