Chapter 211 - Be a Good Boy and Eat Your Medicine

Zhang Yu Han let out a long sigh after his sister left his apartment. He did not know why, but spending his time around his sister can be a bit too tiring. In his opinion, his sister, Zhang Yu Ying had too much chaotic energy that he did not know where did it come from.

When he turned around after sending his sister to the door, Zhang Yu Han found Li Qin Yao sitting on the sofa with her eyes focusing on her ŀȧptop as she sandwiched her phone between her ears and her shoulder.

He sauntered towards her direction and sat down before he grabbed his ŀȧptop. Then, he stared at the screen absentmindedly as he listened to bits of her conversation.

Judging from the dialogue, Zhang Yu Han was sure that Li Qin Yao was talking to her ȧssistant, Liang Sheng about the matter of their project in B City.

Seeing that she was busy at the moment, Zhang Yu Han picked up his ŀȧptop and stared at the documents.

As he continued to observe her from his peripheral vision, Zhang Yu Han began to notice the frown on her face. He listened to her voice and found that they were no longer talking about the project.

Zhang Yu Han straightened up his body and watched the girl across him. Their gaze met and before long, Li Qin Yao bid goodbye to Liang Sheng and ended the call.

"What's wrong?" Zhang Yu Han asked. "Your expression did not look too good."

Li Qin Yao paused as she wondered whether she should be telling him the truth. After a while, her expression eased up. "It's nothing. Just that, Liang Sheng mentioned that Chen Hao showed up at the company to look for me."

It was then that Zhang Yu Han recalled that QL Group had decided to sign an agreement with WS Group. A deep frown appeared on his face at the thought that Chen Hao was hesitant to find his girlfriend even after the two of them had broken up.

"Is he disturbing you?" Zhang Yu Han asked. His mind started to rake for ideas to stop that man from approaching his girlfriend again.

"No," Li Qin Yao said. She looked at Zhang Yu Han and smiled. "I won't let him."

Zhang Yu Han was startled by her answer. From her answer, he could guess that she was going to protect herself well so that her ex-boyfriend won't have the chance to approach her. But still, Zhang Yu Han could not help but worry…

"Are you hungry?" Li Qin Yao glanced at the clock and noticed that it was almost lunch hour. Before Zhang Yu Han could utter his response, Li Qin Yao had spoken again. "Hmm… you have to eat something even if you're not hungry. Or else, you can't have your medicine."

"My fever is gone. I won't need to eat them anymore," Zhang Yu Han argued.

Li Qin Yao stood up from her seat and walked over to her boyfriend. "Qi Zheng said you should finish the doses." She patted her hand on his hair and smiled. "Be a good boy and eat your medicine, alright?"

Zhang Yu Han was rendered speechless at her words.

"Just stay here for a while," Li Qin Yao said. "I'll go and reheat the dishes that Auntie Wu had prepared. It should be over in a few minutes."

Zhang Yu Han nodded obediently and turned his attention to his ŀȧptop. Not long after, the delicious smell wafted from the kitchen and Zhang Yu Han stood up and walked over to the kitchen. He spied at his girlfriend in the kitchen and smiled.

When he saw that she was no longer facing the hot stove, Zhang Yu Han approached her silently and wrapped his arms around her waist, giving her a back hug.

Li Qin Yao let out a soft laugh. She tilted her head back and her head met his solid ċhėst. Seeing curl on his lips, Li Qin Yao could not help but be affected by his smile. "What is it?"

"Nothing," Zhang Yu Han leaned downwards to press his lips on her forehead. When he thought that kissing her forehead was not enough, Zhang Yu Han lowered his head and buried his face the crook of her neck. He inhaled her familiar smell and pressed his lips against it.

"Stop that," Li Qin Yao let out a giggle. "It's ticklish."

She tried to wriggle out of his embrace to turn around and look at his face properly, but Zhang Yu Han's grip around her waist only tightened.

"Come on. Let's eat before the food gets cold," Li Qin Yao said. "Auntie Wu cooked these dishes for you."

Zhang Yu Han let out a sigh and obediently loosened his grip around her waist. He then watched her placed the bowl and dishes on the table before she walked to him and pulled him to sit down around the table.

She urged him to start eating and supervised his food intake. At this point, Zhang Yu Han could somehow understand his grandfather's suffering when he had controlled everything he ate.

The two of them ate while chatting and joking around. Once they finished, Zhang Yu Han was shooed away from the kitchen while Li Qin Yao did the dishes.

As he stared at his ŀȧptop screen, her hands popped up beside him with a few tablets and medicine. He took the medicine and swallowed them under her supervision.

Putting aside the emptied glass on the table, Zhang Yu Han then pulled the girl back into his embrace. With her back pressing on his ċhėst, Zhang Yu Han then rested his chin on her shoulder.

Li Qin Yao wriggled out of his embrace and turned to face him. Noticing his deep set of eyes staring into hers, her cheek turned a few shades redder. "What are you thinking?" Her head tilted sideways as she continued to observe him.

"It's really nice to be like this," Zhang Yu Han said as he tightened his grip around her waist. "Seeing your face the first time I woke up and being able to hug you like this at any time..."

Li Qin Yao let out a laugh at his words.

"I wanted to be able to find you at any time and then seeing your face the first thing after I wake up." Zhang Yu Han continued. "I wanted to be able to see you around this house whenever I return here."

The smile on her face widened, but there was a hint of confusion on her face. Slowly, she cupped her hand on his cheek. "What are you trying to say?"

A thought crossed his mind and he did not want to hesitate to say it. "Qin Yao," looked at her into the eyes as if trying to peer at her soul. "We... let's get married."
