Chapter 266 - Are You Interested in that Position?

During their stay in Capital City, Li Qin Yao spent most of her time accompanying her husband. He took her to a tour on the Capital City's branch and soon, everyone among the staff in the hotel knew of her identity as their Director's wife.

Once this information was well known, Li Qin Yao began to notice that some of the employees, or rather, female employees would cast a strange look at her. It was not hard for Li Qin Yao to decipher what does their gaze meant, but she chose not to pay attention to them.

Zhang Yu Han was a very handsome and attractive man despite the serious look on his face. It was not strange if he acquired a few admirers, but this man was already married to her. 

Of course, when Zhang Yu Han was busy looking at some important documents, Li Qin Yao had chatted with Assistant Ye a few times and learned a few gossips regarding her husband. 

No matter how many others tried to catch his attention, Zhang Yu Han had never spared a glance at his admirers even before she had dated him.

It was not the first time for Li Qin Yao to hear how she has been the first woman that Zhang Yu Han had shown his interest in. His family and friends had once told her the same thing.

At the thought that she was the only woman who could grab his attention, Li Qin Yao was excited. What woman would not be happy when they heard that news?

To tell him how happy she was with his performance, Li Qin Yao decided to show her feelings through action instead of words.

Of course, Zhang Yu Han had recently noticed the way his wife's domineering and possessive manner whenever they were together.

Although he did not know what was going on with her recent change, Zhang Yu Han could not deny that he was enjoying whatever was going on.

Zhang Yu Han stared at his wife as she pulled away from their kisses and rested her forehead against his. His hands were rubbing her arms up and down against her torso.

He wondered what was on her mind when she had come to his side and tried to seduce him when he was supposed to review some documents that his ȧssistant had sent to him earlier.

Suddenly, Li Qin Yao moved to rest her forehead on his shoulder. Seconds later, Zhang Yu Han winced when he felt a jolt of pain around his shoulder.

A smile of satisfaction curled on her lips when as she stared at the reddened patch on his skin. Then, Li Qin Yao patted at the area before she adjusted his shirt and she got off his ŀȧps.

Zhang Yu Han quickly grabbed her wrist when she attempted to leave. "Wife, are you trying to escape after igniting fire?"

The smile on her face turned mischievous. "Hubby, you still have to look at the documents." She pointed to the papers on his desk and tilted her head sideways. "Besides, I need to go now. I promised Li Ming Han that I will meet him in the coffee house."

On cue, Li Qin Yao's phone on the table started to ring. She picked up the device and showed the caller ID to her husband. "You see?"

Zhang Yu Han's eyes turned dark as he started to curse Li Ming Han for his timing. However, he shouldn't be blaming Li Ming Han. The real culprit here was his wife! 

After sending Li Ming Han a quick reply, she leaned forward to kiss Zhang Yu Han on his forehead and quickly shifted away before he could grab her hand again. "Hubby, I'll come back as soon as the meeting is over, alright?"

When Li Qin Yao arrived at the coffee house, her cousin, Li Ming Han has already waiting for her. Once she spotted him sitting beside the french window, Li Qin Yao sauntered towards him and sat down at the empty seat across of him.

A waiter immediately approached their table and Li Qin Yao ordered a cup of hot latte for herself. 

"Why do you want to see me?" Li Qin Yao spoke as the waiter had walked away.

"Cousin sister, do I need a reason to come and see you?" A playful smile curled on his lips.

Li Qin Yao rolled her eyes at his words. "You don't have to sweet-talk me. My husband had already asked the kitchen to prepare a box of pastries when he heard that you will be coming here today."

Li Ming Han's expression brightened as he heard the news. He had the intention to eat Chef Qin's pastries since he was coming to the hotel, but now that he heard that Zhang Yu Han had prepared a box for him, Li Ming Han could not be happier.

"My cousin-in-law is the best!"

"Anyway," Li Ming Han cleared his throat. "Cousin Sister, I'm here to discuss with you about the shareholder's meeting tomorrow. You… you are going to show up, right?"

"Of course."

"Then, Cousin Sister, you do remember that I have told you that they are going to choose someone new as the President, right?" Li Ming Han said. "I have a question I wanted to ask… Cousin Sister, are you interested in that position?"

Li Qin Yao smiled before she answered, "No. I might be interested in that position in the past, but I have long let that go when I left QL Group two years ago. I don't plan to return. I'm just happy to manage the branch in B City."

Li Ming Han observed her expression and spoke again. "You won't reconsider this decision?"

"I won't," She stirred took a sip at her latte and continued. "I am already married. If I choose to accept the position, I will have to move back to Capital City. I don't wish to live away from my husband and get myself into a long-distance relationship."

Li Ming Han laughed at her explanation.

"But, if you're interested in that position, I can do something to help you."

His laugh died instantly. "Please don't joke around. You know that I am mostly too lazy to deal with such a workload. Why do you think I didn't give my all when we were still competing years ago?"

Li Qin Yao watched him curiously. "Then, why do you come here to see me?"

A faint smile curled on his lips. "Cousin Sister, I wonder if you have time to listen to my thoughts?"
