Chapter 77 - Enemy Inside The Same Blanket (Wolf In Sheep's Clothing)

Bang! ...

The third bullet also lodged in David's lower left abdomen, scratching his hip bone, but David still didn't stop. David's eyes could see that the plane Angeline was in was moving.

The officer who had shot David's body had no longer done so. According to the regulations, if the culprit does not fight back, then three bullets is the final tolerance limit. David has not injured anyone since the first bullet lodged in his body, which is a case of not fighting back.

The officer spoke through his communication device and instructed all officers who were near David to stop him at once.

Now, about seventeen officers, each with iron clubs, stood around David without giving him the slightest chance to escape. David realized that if he continued to fight back, the officer with the gun had reasons to shoot him again.

David takes an officer hostage so that he can get through the final checkpoint and finally exit to the place where planes take off and land; the airfield.

David memorized which plane Angeline was on. The plane was already at the starting line, preparing to take off. The sound of the turbines moving the jets on the airplane's wings was heard from a distance. David kept running, ignoring the pain throughout his body.

"Angeline ... wait ... don't go." David groaned in his heart.

And before David had time to reach the place, Angeline's plane was traveling very fast. Slowly the plane flew into the air until it finally disappeared in the clouds.

David just stood there staring at the plane, while he was surrounded from all sides by the special airport police who aimed their guns respectively at David.

Bammm! ...

David's head was hit very hard from behind, causing David to gasp. If anyone else, it must have fallen to the ground unconscious, but David was still standing, staring at the last trail of the plane in which Angeline was boarding.

Even though the blood had flowed from the top of his head to cover David's right eye, he remained standing.

The officer hit David on the back of the head with the iron club in his hand a second time, but David still hadn't fallen.

Finally he took out the handcuffs and immediately locked David's wrists back. This time David didn't put up a single fight, leaving everyone who surrounded him stunned.

David was like a lifeless lump of flesh. David's face did not show any expression, as if his soul was no longer inside his body.

David was taken to the police station.

In David's heart, he kept repeating the same words, with his face completely devoid of expression.

"Angeline ... Don't go ... Angeline ... Don't go ... Angeline ... Don't go ..."

Angeline arrives at an airport, someone is already waiting for her. Angeline also followed him into a black van. The person told Angeline to take her belongings behind, but when the back door of the van opened, the two people who had been waiting inside forcibly pulled Angeline's body and covered Angeline's mouth and nose with a handkerchief covered with anesthetic.

Within seconds Angeline had lost consciousness. Someone takes out his cell phone and calls someone.

"We've got her."

"Good, take her to that place."

The kidnapper switched off the line and knocked twice on the body of the van, signaling the driver to start driving the car. Now Angeline has been taken to a place she doesn't know.

However, one thing is for sure, Catty has managed to trick Angeline with great ease.

On the other hand, Catty burst out laughing knowing that Angeline could be tricked that easily. It was really amused to hear that Angeline had innocently followed through with all her tricks. Catty really thought highly of the girl who had stolen the heart of David Stockholm. But it turns out that someone she thought highly is just someone this naive and stupid.

Because now Catty realizes that Angeline is not an opponent she should be aware of.

"David ... Oh David ... What do you see in that stupid girl besides her beauty? I'm really disappointed with you. This time's war, it looks like it's going to be a very easy and boring war. Should I play with you a little longer?"

Catty went on babbling, imagining David's face right before her eyes. Catty continued to laugh naked, sitting on a sofa with three men kissing every inch of her naked body without a single thread covering.

Catty closed her eyes while biting her own lower lip as one of the three men licked the most intimate part of her beautiful body that was squeezed between her groin. "Eunngghhh ... David, you are so naughty."

Catty always imagined every man she'd made love to was David, making metaphors out of her own fantasies. Her obsession with David was far from normal.

Disgusting.

Even that word wasn't enough to describe Catty's behavior that was so abnormal.

Catty continues her dirty game, while David is now in the police station. Thanks to the chief of police's instructions, none of the policemen bothered David in the interrogation room until he arrived.

But the first person to enter the room where David was present was not the chief of police, but Cederic, with his trademark police badge hanging around his neck. Looks like he's disguised as a member of the police.

Cederic removed the handcuffs on David's wrists linked to the interrogation table, but suddenly David choked Cederic very hard on the neck. David's swift moves could not be anticipated by Cederic who did not expect David to do that.

"Who the fuck are you?!" David asked in a loud voice, almost like a scream. More precisely a threat. If David doesn't get a satisfactory answer from Cederic, maybe he will end up being a corpse with a broken and split neckbone.

Cederic was holding David's hand which was gripping his neck very hard. "W-wait ... I can explain."

David continued to choke Cederic in the neck for a while until David threw Cederic's body and hit him hard against the wall. David took the handcuffs and placed one sharp end of the handcuffs around Cederic's neck. A drop of fresh blood had already dripped out of the place where David had attached the sharp handcuffs. "Answer me. Why don't you all answer my fucking calls? Are you all actually one of Catty's pet clowns who want to fucking attack me from behind?!"

David was straightforward, causing Cederic to frown. "What? Are you delirious? There's no way my friends and I are Catty's pets. Our phones were all stolen when Steve drugged us all unconscious."

"Fucking bullshit! Try being smarter if you want to trick me!" challenged David who also hardened the puncture of the end of the handcuffs in Cederic's neck.

"Think again, maybe they purposely made you think what you think now. With only your cell phone they didn't steal, they wanted to make you suspect us. Remember, that bastard Isaac is a genius. He must be planning to split us up, so It's easy to defeat us. Also, have you forgotten all that we've been through together. Was Xiang's death not enough to make you believe in us?"

David fell silent. Seeing that David's anger had dampened a little, Cederic continued his words.

"What exactly is it that makes you act like this? Has your mind been disturbed by something? Or ... Ackkkhhh!"

David suddenly hardened Cederic's neck again. "Angeline! She disappeared because of Catty's trick! And I can't fucking reach you all!"

"Al-alright, I represent everyone to apologize. But you also can't blame us for what happened to you, especially if it is personal. Of course I will ask Amanda to look for Angeline's whereabouts, but you have to calm yourself down first."

David screamed while throwing the handcuffs he used to stab Cederic's neck in any direction. He was really, really frustrated, didn't know what else to do because Catty had Angeline in her grasp.

During this time, David thought that Angeline was more valuable than himself. If he lost Angeline, then hundreds of deaths would not be enough to make up for him.

Cederic grabbed the part of his neck where David had stabbed. Even though the blood was not as hard as when David was still stabbing him, the pain was still felt. But David did not know what was on Cederic's mind.

In his heart, Cederic burst out laughing.

David was completely helpless after losing Angeline. What Catty said was true. It seems that David has turned into a useless figure and is very far from being a dangerous enemy without Angeline by his side.

After they managed to get Angeline, they thought that David would return to being himself in the past, which was cruel and merciless, but David instead transformed into a sheep without horns.

Cederic is completely satisfied with David's reaction now. It was really embarrassing for someone who was so respected and feared in the Underworld. Seeing the present David, makes Cederic think that the nickname of the Demon Prince who has been adored every single mafia in the Underworld has become a very ridiculous laughing stock.

Demon Prince?

The figure of a David Stockholm that he now saw was more accurately described as a little ghost who would immediately disappear if someone scared him just a little. Maybe there is no such thing, but the most important thing is that David has fallen very drastically in Cederic's eyes.

Apparently, what Henry was afraid of really happened. Cederic was too suspicious to be considered a friend. No, not even just to be considered a pawn to be thrown away after being used.

Cederic is truly the enemy inside the same blanket for David.

Cederic grabbed David's shoulder. "Calm down, I'll try my best to find Angeline."

Cederic is truly a very dangerous person.
