Chapter 147 - 147: The Reasons Why

Glossy chandeliers, hundreds of chairs made the church more beautiful and sacred. There were bundles of different flowers at the altar, sacred figurines and sky-like ceiling. It seemed like they were in heaven because of the interior design.

"Every year, I used to visit this church by myself and bring offer something with me." said Halora after she prayed and gave thanks for everything that she had received on her birthday.

She smiled, glanced up at Sebastian who stood next to her silently, watched her pray that entirely changed his mood. "Shall we? I have something to tell you."

"Let's go! I'll take you somewhere too." he replied shortly.

Sebastian has something in mind, a peaceful place that was perfect for reflection and meditation. But at first, he was hesitant to agree with her and he felt frightened of the way she told him.

"Take me there, then! I just want some sort of peaceful surroundings before we start accomplishing our mission."

Right then on, Sebastian opened the door and let her entered inside next to the driver's seat. She sighed, looked at the window while he walled around and seated at the driver's seat.

Out of the blue, Halora remembered Markus who left the house with a heavy feeling towards Sebastian. She has no choice but to confront the campus bad boy before things became complicated.

"Huh, what a tiring, long day." she thought and leaned her head in the window.

"If you want to take a nap, just close your eyes and I'll wake you up when we reached on the place."

Halora slightly nodded her head, breathed heavily as it fluttered her heart. He knew what she needed and that was the reason that kept him alluring.

She replied mischievously, "Never regret it."

It made him laughed loudly while she closed her eyes for good. Along the way, Sebastian would steal stare at her as he couldn't control himself.

He chuckled, opened the stereo as he listened to the warm, new music that was being played.

It has been awhile since he listened to a romantic, slow music. And the truth was, he never liked such genre because it never suited to his personality.

"S– should I tell her the truth?" he whispered to the cold wind and he turned left when the traffic lights turned red. "She's part of my life and honesty is the best thing I can give to her." he added.

Suddenly, all of the memories that happened in the campus flashed back into his mind. He shook his head as he tried to get rid of the thought of it yet, the smiling face of Halora abruptly came back to his memory as if it only happened yesterday.

Little did he knew, a bitter, sweet smile flaunted on his crimson lips while he looked at Halora's peaceful face. He took a deep breath, touched and rubbed the back of his head before he said, "Huh, I have to change all of my plans."

A cozy, warm surroundings welcomed them as soon as they arrived at the place. It was an exclusive property and a nature based mini houses were built and was opened for high valued tourists like Sebastian Woo.

He parked the car at the first class category, assisted by three employees as they guided them to their simple, yet fancy room.

"Good evening, Mr. Woo! Please, follow us this way." spoke one of them while Halora bowed her head in amusement.

"Let's go!" he replied shortly and held Halora's hand tightly enough that caught the employees' attention. "Don't mind them! They would looked at me that way until they drooled and ended up being rejected."

She chuckled secretly, followed their lead and hid behind Sebastian like she was his non-showbiz girlfriend that chased by the paparazzi.

And she covered her face as much as she could as she never expected that it was a nice, expensive place for couples.

"We're here!" said the female receptionist with a hint of enthusiasm but when Halora smiled at her, she quickly rolled her eyes and looked away.

While the man next to her nudged her elbow, "I–if you need something else, you can call us right away–"

"Just leave us alone, now!"

He has the right to use his power as they crossed the line. Sebastian knew that the female receptionist looked at Halora as if she committed a rebellious crime.

He gasped as his transformation startled the two of them and they hurriedly left.

"W– why did you do that? You shouldn't have acted that way." she said. And it seemed like she taught him good lessons and better behaviour towards other people.

But on the other side, Sebastian did the right thing when he saw how the female receptionists looked at Halora disgustingly. He maybe the coldest person on Earth but he could be the coolest hero of the City.

He nodded, pinched her nose that turned her cheeks into scarlet, "Come on, let's get inside before you change your mind and run back home without me." he replied that made her laugh so hard.

At that moment, Sebastian had realized one important thing that he should have done earlier. If only he confessed everything to her, Halora wouldn't be hurt by Sandra in the first place.

But, he believed that every little thing happened for a reason and the moment he met her, Sebastian knew that it was his fate.

"Halora?" he called him the moment they reached the inner part of the wide, breathtaking view of the entire room.

He sighed, brought here at the mini terrace as he faced her with uncertainties, "Would you still believe in me?"

"Would you rather believe in me than all the bad things that I've caused since our paths crossed that day?"

Halora couldn't speak for a moment. She didn't know what to say as she remained speechless. Her eyes twinkled and looked intently into his glinting eyes.

It filled with melancholy, of truths but there was a little sign of fear.

"I will, but I want to know the reasons why you didn't come to the library the other day..." Tears fell I'd to her cheeks but it only confused him to death.
