Chapter 15：A Disharmonious Scene

She gently got on the bed and cautiously curled up at one side.

After the lights dimmed, she was gently carried up and soon she found herself in a warm embrace.

Gu Xi's body stiffened, but before she could break free, his voice rang. "If you don't want me to do more things to you, then obediently stay still!"

Her back was pressed against his hot and firm body while his hot breath puffed at her neck.

She did not dare to move and in a moment, she was flipped over.

Under the dim light, his handsome face looked even more defined and handsome.

With no words spoken between them, he stared at her with a deep gaze and raised his fingers to touch her lips.

Gu Xi quivered in fear that he might do the same thing that he did in the bathroom.

Gu Xi pursed her lips and was prepared to power off her phone when suddenly, someone with a long and beautiful hand snatched her phone away. Pei Qian looked at the number and curled his lips. "Why didn't you answer?"

"Give it back to me!" Gu Xi forcefully got up.

Pei Qian looked at her and placed the phone further away before answering the call. Then, he calmly spoke to the phone's receiver. "It's Pei Qian!"

On the other end of the call, Qin Mo was beyond startled while Pei Qian hung up the call and turned the phone off.

He swung the phone around. "Don't contact or meet him again!"

Gu Xi tolerated her anger. If she wanted to contact Qin Mo, she would not have him off so easily!

Pei Qian looked at her and his gaze suddenly landed on her cleavage. Gu Xi looked down, and upon realizing what he was looking at, she quickly ran to the bathroom while covering herself up with her bathrobe.

With a sudden good mood, Pei Qian laughed and continued to do his tie.

When Gu Xi walked out of the bathroom, Pei Qian was already carrying his briefcase and was preparing to head out.

He looked at the clothes that she wore. He had specifically let someone prepare it for her, and it fit her very beautifully!

Under his gaze, Gu Xi uneasily bent her neck down.

"Eat breakfast before you leave," he calmly instructed. He looked very natural and it gave Gu Xi the wrong impression of him being a husband who was instructing his wife in some matters.

She shook her head and got rid of such absurdness from her mind!

Before Pei Qian left, he seemed to have remembered something and turned to look at her. "Come over during dinner time, let's eat dinner together."

Gu Xi froze. Did she still have to come over in the evening?

When Gu Xi proceeded downstairs, she heard the starting engine of a car and immediately knew Pei Qian had left.

Gu Xi had a cold look on and she switched her phone off again.

When she reached the office, Lin Yunzhi smiled and said, "Manager Gu's clothes look very pretty today!"

Gu Xi lowered her head and looked at her dress, but she remained silent.

As Lin Yunzhi looked at that set of clothes, she knew in her heart that it was clearly not Manager Gu's style…

Was it bought by a man?

It could not be from Qin Mo because Qin Mo called several times earlier asking whether Gu Xi showed up at work. He even sounded desperate.

Lin Yunzhi figured that Manager Gu probably… spent the night with another man!

Gu Xi looked at Lin Yunzhi and remembered something. "If Mr. Qin calls, tell him that I'm not around."

Gu Xi entered the office and opened her computer to follow up with the Gu Group's stock movement.

However, Gu Xi seemed unhappy as she silently sat in her office and even refused to see anyone.

The shareholders were all in great spirits. Lin Yunzhi entered her office, and she softly said, "Manager Gu, the meeting is starting at ten o'clock."

Gu Xi did not move. "Let the deputy manager take over!"

"Deputy manager is currently having a business trip in the United States and has yet to come back." Lin Yunzhi could confirm that Gu Xi was definitely thinking about her personal matters. If not, she would not have forgotten this matter at all!
