Chapter 19：Movement

After finding the truth, I went straight to the office. I needed to confirm something before going to Father to show me what's inside the box, hopefully. In the office, I was searching about anything related to brother.

"Do you need any help?" Elijah asked.

I was focused on looking at some papers at my brother's office. And once I heard him, I lifted my head and said "Yes please."

There were lot of papers in the office so I did not think I will be able to finish researching within a day.

"Okay." He nodded.

He began to search carefully around the office. He went firstly in the library and began to look between the books.

"Yes, you can." I answered while searching the drawers.

We were searching every corner of the office for three hours non stop.

I sighed.

Elijah looked at me and said "What about talking a break for now? The lunch break will be soon."

I nodded while looking at him.

"If we keep like this searching, it will be tiring for the both of us." I said while walking in the garden. It was Elijah's suggestion to go out for a walk before lunch.

"Do you want to stop?" He asked.

"It is not that I should stop searching, but I think we might choose another method."

He rubbed his chin and then looked at me "May I ask what you are searching for? Maybe once I know, I will be able to help you much easier than before."

I flinched. I did not want him to know what I was searching for. I was too reckless.

"Mmmm .. you know what ... It is not something that is so important for me." I lied.

His features were telling me that he did not believe what I am saying. So I tried to change the subject.

"Tell me .... why did you choose to become a knight?"

He stopped walking and looked at me. Judging by his features, I think he knew what was my intention about. But he did not care. He went with the flow.

"Well ... there are two reasons why did I become a knight." He said.

I faced him and asked "What are the two reasons?!"

"The first reason, which is the most important reason, is to be the successor of my family. And in order to be a successor, the main requirement is to be loyal to the king by going to wars. That's why I became a knight, so that I can receive a title and hopefully be the family's successor."

He paused for a moment looking at the trees.

"And the second reason is ... a promise that I made during my childhood ... I promised her that I will be a knight so that I can take her away from that place ....."

He touched his nape.

"I wish I could remember her face ...." He said.

I flinched. Every word I heard coming from his mouth, it makes me surprised. Is he the one who was in my dreams? I thought that dream was not real, I think that it was my imagination! I never expected to be real! What a coincident, he is now my personal bodyguard!

"Eh ..... I wish you could find her as soon as possible."

Instead, I supposed to say to him that you already found her and she is in front of you now.

I wonder what is the reason behind not remembering my face? Well, I think it is an advantage for me that he couldn't remember my face, so that I won't be exposed.

"Oh! I did not expect to see you here walking."

I heard someone talking to me, so I moved to where the source is. It was Edward!

"Ohh .. Hi Edward ... I tried to take a break before lunch."

I went toward him and asked "Did you relax during your break?"

"Yes. I went straight to the bed and sleep. I am really grateful for giving me a break." He said.

"Hhh ... I did nothing .... I was simply commanded you that you should take a break." I smirked.

He laughed.

There was a silent moment between the three of us. I figured out whenever Edward and Elijah are together, they don't talk too often. It was the same when I was at the office after recovering. I did not know the reason behind this silent, but I should say something.

"Ohh .. Edward. Can you remind about today's schedule. This morning I did not do anything. I just went to the royal library to read."

"Oh .. Yeah. What a coincidence. I just came back from your father's office. I was heading toward the office in order to tell you about what your father said."

"Okay. Lets head back to the office." I said.

"There are two main important matters that you should know." Edward said.

"Okay. What should I know about?" I looked at him carefully while sitting on a chair.

"First, your father gave me a paper to show it to you. l don't know what is written inside, but I assume it is something important to you. And the second thing is that your father will make a movement."

"What movement?!" I interrupted him.

He looked at me seriously.

"There will be a war against the enemy." He stated.

"Huh?!" I flinched.

"He firstly tried to negotiate with the enemy, but they were not fully contributed."

He then reached his hands to give me the paper and said "They are at fault. Your father did what he could do to try to negotiate with them."

I looked at the paper and unfolded it to see what's inside.

I suddenly stood up after reading the paper.

"Huh? Are you okay?" Edward asked.

I looked at Elijah restlessly "Can you leave for a moment. Please."

"I can't"

"At least stand in front of the door ..... Please."

He looked at me carefully "Only for five minutes and after that, I will be inside."

He went outside.

I went toward Edward and murmured "It is about my brother!"

I let him see what's inside the paper.

He read it carefully and then said "I see ...."

He rubbed his chin "if that's true, then it is our favorable. We will hopefully win the war."

"So it is true that my brother is in the enemy's country." I murmured with enthusiasm.

"From what's written, your brother is highly expected to be there. Hopefully." He smiled.

I relaxed at what Edward said. If my brother is indeed in the 'DarkOwl' country, then I will finally be able to see him!

"Greetings Your Majesty." Marquess Austin greeted.

The king entered the meeting room and said to him "Good morning."

He sat down and looked at the papers "I can see some progress compared to our last meeting."

"Yes, Your Majesty. In the last meeting, you said that I am the most applicable noble to provide you with the main army for the upcoming war."

He gave the king several papers to look at them and said "These are the lists of the strong knights. They are considered as elites, at least for me. And I choose them directly to be in the main army for the upcoming war."

The king looked through the papers carefully. After that, he looked at Duke William.

"Show me what you have got."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

He showed him the expected expenditure on the knights in terms of food and drink as well as the supplements needed for the upcoming war.

He looked at the papers carefully.

After several minutes he looked at the nobles beside Duke William and Marquess Austin and said sharply with a clear voice "We will be engaged with the upcoming war after several months from today. By looking at the papers, I can see that all of you contributed well in making the progress as fast as you could such as finance and military strategy. I hope that the upcoming war will be at our favor. I wish we could win this war."

He stood up and said "Now you are dismissed."
