"Look, Amelia. I am sorry about being a Jerk in high school. Why don‟t I come over or something, just to see how you are? I haven‟t kept in much contact with friends since I finished. It would be nice."
I didn't like him, but I knew from experience that he would nag and nag and nag until he got what he wanted and I wasn't in the mood to deal with it. I sighed.
"Ok, but I have to just drop the triplets off at their nanny‟s house," I said referring to John and Olivia‟s mom. Ever since she had found out that she was a Nanny she wanted to see them a hell of a lot, but they had fun so I saw no problem.

I reached home with about 5 minutes to spare until Jett go there, but to my dismay, I saw that Jett was already parked holding a bouquet and a bottle of wine. What the hell had I gotten myself into? I got out of the car and greeted him.
"Thanks again Amelia for letting me come over. Look, I bought you a couple of gifts, hope that it‟s ok" I looked at the „gifts‟ and accepted them. As much as I didn't like Jett, he seemed so excited and I didn't like seeing people upset.
I walked up and opened the door, Jett following close on my heels. "Make yourself at home, I will go grab some drinks" He nodded at my idea with great vigor. He was sitting in the lounge by the time I came in carrying coffee and a few sandwiches. "So how have you been Jett," I asked with false happiness.
"You don‟t as I do you," he said quietly. I felt guilty like I had led him to believe otherwise, and I guess that I had somewhat. "No, not really. I just don‟t know you that well. Back in high school, you weren't the nicest person I knew" I said with a small smile.
"I wish I was nicer. I might have made some real friends. After graduation, no one of my so-called friends wanted to talk or to hang out" I felt bad, imagine having people who you thought were friends for five years, and then realize that they do not know you or like you at all. "Well, I never knew you enough to like you or hate you.
I will admit that you annoyed the hell out of me a lot, but you know…" He looked up at me and I felt some sort of reconciliation. It made feel happy that I could make new friends out of old enemies.
"So what do you do now?" I asked him He laughed. "Not much, I work part-time at this accounting place, and have only a few classes at the local college."
"Cool, what are you studying?" "Business" The conversations just kept going for a while, talking about our lives, how things had changed for us in the last couple of years. We had been talking for about an hour and a half when my side started hurting.
I shifted around trying to find a way to sit comfortably, but the pain just got worse. I stood up, going to find some painkillers and things got blurry and I felt like I was spinning, I couldn't tell up from down, all I could hear was Jett calling my name.
