"What? Anna! Can't you see that your father and I are not flirting! Don't spout such nonsense!" Mary can't believe that her daughter just said that out of the blue.
It's obvious that she and Arion are not flirting with each other. So how is it possible for her daughter to come up with that kind of idea? Such an idea is only making her blood boil in irritation.
"You are right, Anna. We should set that rule during our mealtime." Marcus said agreeing to Anna's suggestion.
At the moment, Arion and Mary are not in the best condition of their relationship as husband and wife. However, once this condition is over, it will be an annoying sight for Marcus because his son is such a doting husband to the point of wanting to flirt with Mary every time he sees the chance. And as for Mary, she might flirt back which could really make want to leave the room for the two.
"Father!" Mary called out Marcus, but Marcus is not listening to her.
"Then the rule will activate tomorrow?" Anna asked.
"Of course. And would also include you and Kyle." Marcus said with a smile.
After hearing that, a frown is plastered in her face. She only wanted to mess with her mother and father for a little bit, but how did the conversation end up about her and Kyle flirting? From what she remembers, she and Kyle have not yet flirted with each other. So she thinks that it's not gonna any time soon.
"Why would you mention that brat's name, father?" Arion asked. Base on his tone, he still doesn't like Kyle and he hates hearing Kyle's name on the same sentence as his daughter's name.
"Because that brat and his family are going to join us for dinner tomorrow." Truthfully, Marcus wanted to keep this information as secret, but with the talk of flirting over dinner, Marcus has no other choice but to remind his granddaughter. If he doesn't say anything, his appetite might get ruined and he doesn't want that happen especially when Elijah Robertson is going to be present to the upcoming dinner.
"What? Grandfather, why are you telling us about this now? You could have just told us earlier so that we can prepare some things for our guest." Aaron spoked. For the whole day, he and his sister didn't go to school they got lazy, and tomorrow they will go. And tomorrow, they don't have the time to prepare anything.
He and his sister are planning to find out if Juan survived what happened on that day. Their mother already told them to not bother looking at the list who died in that building, but Anna and Kyle think otherwise. They want to know if Juan is still a threat to them.
They can't have Juan running around freely while there are still others who want to harm them. The safety of their entire family is at stake and they would like to eliminate those who want to harm them little by little. And Juan is just their first step in doing so.
"Prepare? You don't have to prepare anything for them. Besides, that Robertsons and the Colemans were once close buddies. I'm sure that the old man of that family will not be expecting anything but a warm welcome from our family."
It may sound unbelievable since they found out that Elijah Robertson dislikes that Colemans for so long. But whether the rest of the Colemans believe it or not, Marcus is sure that Elijah won't make any comment if the twins didn't prepare anything.
Besides, the only person Marcus is sure about is that the person Elijah might be attacking is going to be him. If that happens, Marcus will already be expecting it since Kyle once told him that Elijah is refusing to accept the fact of what really happened at that event.
'He is still as stubborn as a rock. So childish. When will he grow up?' Marcus inwardly commented.
"A warm welcome, you say?" Arion started. "Father, is it alright for me to give that brat a warm kick out of the mansion?" Arion would rather like to have the other Robertsons walking inside the mansion than Kyle who will most likely get near his daughter.
"Arion! Don't you dare get in the way." Mary spoke with an irritated tone. "Your daughter has a life, and it's her choice if she wants to get close to Kyle." Ever since Kyle has been interacting with her daughter, Mary noticed that smile on her daughter's face.
The smile that Mary never knew Anna had. And Mary will not let her husband be the cause of that smile disappearing. If Arion will let Kyle do what he does best, then she might treat Arion a bit softer.
"You're wife is right, Arion. Anna has a life, whether Kyle hurt her or make her happy, it's all Anna's decision. And of course, if Kyle does hurt her that is when our family makes a move." He may sound like a hypocrite since he also doesn't like Kyle for his granddaughter in the beginning, but now it's different.
Kyle did him a favor, and the only way that he can think of repaying him back that favor is letting him court his granddaughter. The only thing that he hopes for Kyle now is that he wishes for him to not hurt Anna.
"But Father, should we really just let Kyle get near Anna just like that? Can't we just make test him out or something?" Arion doesn't really trust Kyle and letting Kyle gets nears his daughter so freely is just making him worry.
One of Leon's reports to him before was that his son was strongly against Kyle, but looking at his son quietly eating his food, it seems like he already accepted Kyle. 'Looks like it's me who doesn't like that brat.' Arion inwardly said to himself.
"If you want to test him, then do it. However, don't interrupt your daughter and Kyle's time together." In Marcus's opinion, there is nothing wrong if Arion wants to test Kyle because what Arion is showing right now is how much he cares for Anna.
"Can we stop talking about this?" Anna spoke. Her face is starting to get red because of the talk about her and Kyle. If she had known that the conversation will end up about her and Kyle, then she should not have started setting up a rule about no flirting during mealtime.
"You started it, so you need to bear with it, dear sister," Aaron said with a playful smirk on his face.
