Chapter 422 - Revenge 423: Alexandre's Babbling Words

Name:REBORN: Revenge Author:C_J_Taganna
"You seem like you're in a perfect mood, mind telling me what happened to you?" While Anna is eating her breakfast, she noticed that Lannie has been smiling since they woke up, and Anna is starting to feel weird about it.

"No reason. I'm just happy, that is all." Lannie won't ever Anna what she did yesterday or else, Anna might get angry at her.

"You're happy for no reason? There is no such thing as that, Lannie." Alfonso just happens to pass by overheard the conversation between the two girls. If had not known better, Alfonso wouldn't think that his niece has done something to someone again.

"Good morning to you too, Uncle, and to you as well, my precious cousin." Lannie avoided the question and just focus her whole attention to Alexandre.

"Hey, are deliberately ignoring what I just said?" Seeing that his niece's attention is no longer his, Alfonso can only sigh.

Lannie only knows how to have fun, and that sometimes makes him worry about her future. Of course, Lannie does well in her studies, but she never really share what exactly her plan is for her future. Alfonso is pretty sure that his sister is also having this kind of worry.

"I am. I don't want you to tell the whole story because I know that sooner or later, you'll hear from Mom." Knowing her brother, Kyle probably showing his irritated expression this morning, and their mother will obviously ask and demand to answer from Kyle.

Also, knowing their mother, Lannie is sure that their mother will always have a way to get the answer that she wants.

While Lannie and Alfonso are having their chat, Anna took Alexandre from Alfonso's arms and took him to the living room. Once they got there Anna started talking to Alexandre. "Hey, precious." She smiled.

Alexandre innocently stared at Anna with a smile. His every little action can easily make Anna's heart melt in his adorableness.

Every time that Anna stares at Alexandre's innocent eyes, it always reminds Anna of how much guilt she had and how weak she was at the day Alexandre's mother, Pia, died. Even if she devotes herself to protect Alexandre until the day she dies, it will not bring back the dead. The only thing that she can do now, is to be at Alexandre's side whenever he needed her.

"You know in my past life, I never heard about your existence, and I'm not sure why your father the truth about you. Do you think that I had not discovered your existence in this lifetime, would your mother still be alive today?" It's the same question that Anna always asks herself.

Would Pia still be alive today if she had not gone to see her uncle Alfonso on that day and discovered Alexadre's existence? No matter how much she thinks about it, she can't guarantee that Pia's story will be the same.

As if understanding her question, Alexandre babbled. In Anna's mind, it is like Alexandre is telling her that she should stop looking back at the past and start looking ahead for the future.

"I think you are right, my dear little angel." She said as she chuckled to herself. She finds herself ridiculous for thinking that she can understand Alexandre's babbling words.

Anna noticed that someone is coming near her, but she didn't look at that person and only focus on playing with Alexandre. "Anna, what happened to your brother?"

"What do you mean by that, Uncle?" Anna asked.

"Your mother told me that he did something so ridiculous and I was it and how is he doing now." Two days, Alfonso received a phone call from Mary and he heard her complaining that Aaron is as stupid as his father.

It made him curious about what did Aaron did to make Mary complain like that.

"My mother didn't tell you the whole story?" It's unexpected to hear that her mother didn't tell Alfonso the whole of what happened. No matter how disgusting the story might be, her mother always tells everything to Alfonso, and it's also the same for Alfonso, he tells everything to her mother. They are like best friends. They hide no secret from each other.

"Would I be asking you this if she did?" Alfonso sarcastically asked.

"Well," Anna told Alfons the story from the beginning to the end. Although she is not looking at Alfonso's face, she can tell that Alfonso is at the urge of wanting to not laugh out loud. "And that's what happened." She said.

As soon as she finished telling the story to the nth time already, Alfonso laugh as if he has not laughed for a very long time.

"Your brother has guts! He sure is brave to do that, especially to Leonardo's precious daughter! HAHA. I can't, he's killing me with this." Now, Alfonso can understand why Mary was so upset when she talking to him about her son. He never guessed that that is what happened.

"Yes. He is brave, but what is the point for having that braveness if he doesn't even know how to fix his own emotional problem." It is such a shame that her brother only has high intellectual quotient, but low on emotional quotient.

'I'm sure that our mother raised us with full of love, so why is it that my twin brother is lacking to feel someone's love and recognize his own feeling?' Anna inwardly asks herself. Though, thinking about it now, she can't really criticize her brother because she is just like that. She didn't notice that there are things going on between Rebecca and Juan in her past life. And sometimes, she is not even sure of what she feels.

"You Colemans sure are entertaining." Alfonso finally stopped laughing and is now joining Anna to play with Alexandre.

"You can say that again." Anna agreed that her family is ridiculously entertaining. Despite being feared by almost everyone, inside the Coleman mansion, they always seem to be the opposite of what everyone is saying about them.

"Anna! Let's go. We're going to be late for school." Lannie said hurriedly said to Anna. She was too immersed in her phone that she forgot that she and Anna have a school to go to. As for Anna, she noticed that was immersed in her conversation with their uncle Alfonso while playing with Alexandre.

'I don't wanna get that punishment.' Lannie inwardly cried.

In their school, the student council decided to put a rule in their school since almost everyone likes to come to school late. If students come to school late, those students will be forced to clean the schoolyards or run four miles.

Of course, there is a lot of students who were against that rule, but the Principal didn't care. She thinks that it was a good discipline for the students, and it was effective immediately.

Lannie is part of the student council, and some would think that she will be exempted from the punishment. But that is not the case for her.

~~~
"I'm surprised to know that the two of you are late. But even so, punishment must fall upon the two of you." The student council president said with a smirk on her face.
"Come on, President. Can't you at least exempt us from this? I mean, no one else is here, they won't spread the word that you let us go." Lannie tried to act like a cute little puppy in front of the President and the Vice-President, but they only look the other way.
"That's not going to work on us, Lannie. Rules are rules, and you very well know that you are no exemption in this." The President finds it very ironic that Lannie is late for school when she is the one who suggested this very rule.
Lannie was about to give it another go, but Anna cut her off. "Lannie, don't even bother. You know it's not gonna work on them." Anna would rather receive the punishment rather than staying outside and not go to her class.
"Listen to your friend, Lannie. Listening is quite important, you know?" The vice president of the student council is not really a big fan of Lannie Robertson. It's not like he hates nor like Lannie, it is just that, Lannie is the big opposite of him, and it sometimes annoys him.
"I really don't like you." Lannie glared at him. "We'll take the punishment after school."
~~~

"What happened to you? You look so tired." Anna asked her brother who's currently having a hard time making himself stay awake.

"Both our father and Elder Martha, is making things hard for me on the first day." To add more to his stress, his mother is making things hard for him too. The moment he got home, he got another scolding from her. "You must be happy that you missed the first day."

"I don't think so, brother. I'm pretty sure that Elder Martha won't make things easy for me just because I missed the first day. And besides, I'm staying after school with Lannie today."
