Chapter 540 - Revenge 541: Misunderstanding

"From what I heard, his name is Keith, and I also heard from Aaron that Keith likes Anna. I'm not sure if that is true or not. I think that's only Aaron's hunch. Don't assume yet, Kyle."

Leon doesn't want to cause any trouble, but it is just the way he is. He can't help it. It is in his nature, after all. 'I'm sorry, Anna. You're gonna have to deal with your boyfriend's jealousy.' Leon inwardly apologizes to Anna.

Although Leon said to him not to assume, Kyle still did not listen, especially when he saw that Anna smiled brightly in front of that person named Keith. Leon saw that smile too, and the expression on his face is literally saying that things will get more interesting now that Keith is around.

Kyle marches his way towards Anna and Keith. Once he reaches them, he got in between them, then he fiercely glared at Keith.

Keith is surprised and confused. He heard about Anna's lover, but he did not pay much attention to the detail of what kind of person Kyle is. Looking at Kyle's face, he got the general idea of how deeply Kyle cares for Anna.

"Kyle? What's wrong? You seemed upset." Anna worriedly spoke to Kyle. She is facing Kyle's back, so she has no clue that Kyle is glaring at Keith. But even though she cannot see his face, she can tell that he is somehow angry.

"I saw an insect getting close to you. That's why I'm upset." Hearing that response, Keith felt insulted that Kyle thinks of him like an insect.

Never in his life has he been thought of like that. He has been told that he is an annoying person, but an insect? That is the first.

"...I think you have the wrong idea here, buddy. Why can't you just back off and let me and Anna continue our talk." Keith knows that what he just said might cause more trouble, but he is serious. He and Anna were talking about something important right before Kyle got in between them.

"Back off? Who do you think you're talking to? I'm not your buddy, and please, do stay away from my girlfriend." Hearing that, Anna finally realizes why Kyle is acting this way. Her face flushed red. She is too embarrassed at the misunderstanding Kyle is having.

Though she understands why he misunderstood her and Keith. She and Keith were talking too closely, and anyone who saw them might actually think that something is going between them. To add to that, Keith said something that had led to a huge misunderstand in Kyle's point of view.

In the corner of Anna's eyes, she spots Leon smirking. He is watching this scene unfold like it is fascinating to watch. In an instant, Anna immediately thought that Leon is somehow involved in how Kyle misunderstood her and Keith.

"I'm afraid that I can't do that since Anna and I will be seeing each other for the next couple of years," Keith smirked. He somehow felt good seeing how angry Kyle is now. Kyle started all this. It's only natural that he gives Kyle the right response even though the misunderstanding about what he said is growing and growing.

"What are you talking about?" Kyle frowned.

"Heh. Anna didn't tell you? How sad. And here I thought that Anna shares everything with you. I will be living under the same roof as her. Of course, being under the same roof, it's only natural that I see her every day. Day and night."

The watcher, which is Leon, is struggling to not laugh out loud. He can't believe that Keith is not even trying to point out that all of this is just a misunderstanding on Kyle's part. Leon initially thought that he and Keith won't ever get along, but seeing how Keith is playing this, he can't help but think that there is a possibility that they might become the best of friends.

Kyle likes to believe that Keith is only saying that to irritate him, but looking straight at Keith's eyes, there is no denying that he is telling him the truth. A bunch of questions is now troubling him.

Before letting Kyle say another word, Anna stepped forward and said, "Enough, Keith. Don't make this such a big matter, or do you want to die early?" Anna would like to avoid violence, which is why she is stepping in, but Keith wants to keep on getting onto Kyle's nerves, then she would not mind backing out.

Anna will not waste her time trying to convince someone as stubborn as Keith. Besides, she is confident enough that if Kyle is going to have a fistfight against Keith, her lover will win for sure.

Seeing that angry look that Anna is giving him, Keith found it very interesting. He raised both his hands up and said, "Fine. I'm gonna shut my mouth as long as that boyfriend of yours stop giving me that look. I don't like it when someone is giving me a look like they want to kill me."

"Hear that? Now, stop it." She said while seriously looking at Kyle. But in Kyle's point of view, it seems to him that Anna is pouting, and he finds it very cute. If Keith and Leon somehow knew what he is thinking, they might walk away because of how annoyingly Kyle is in love with Anna.

"And as for you, Leon..." Anna glanced at Leon and continued, "Can you stop being childish for once? You knew that Kyle will act like this, yet you're purposely doing this."

Leon only shrugged as he approaches them. "This is just who I am, Anna. There is nothing you can do about it. Besides, aren't you happy that you are loved so deeply by Kyle? You should at least thank me, you know?" If he did not do what he did, Anna would not be reminded of how deeply Kyle cares for her.

"If you have done it differently, then I would be grateful. But no, you're just causing trouble." Anna knew that Kyle is coming over since she is the one who told Kyle to visit her. Her intention was to introduce Kyle to Keith.

Anna wanted their first meeting was to be a pleasant interaction, but because of Leon's mischievous personality, that plan is now ruined. 

"Anyways, Kyle," Anna started. "This person over here is my relative from the Ricci family, and I'm sure you already know his name since Leon played you."

"Relative?" Slowly, Kyle is starting to understand why Keith said such words. Now that he knows about this, a new question popped inside his head. As far as he knows, the Ricci family and the Coleman family are not on good terms, so why is Keith staying under the Coleman family's roof?

"Yes, we're relatives. Could you please not glare at me as if you're going to kill me whenever you see Anna smiling and laughing beside me. It's not such a nice impression to show to your lover's relatives, you know?" Keith is practically saying that since he is a relative to Anna, and Anna values family very much, he has the upper hand over him.

Kyle got the message behind Keith's words, but they did not affect him. Instead, he is way more on guard than before. "Even if you are Anna's relative, I must warn you that you should not get too close to Anna."

"Hmm..." Keith smirked, then he glances at Anna. "Your lover is very annoying but interesting." In a flash of a moment, Anna somehow saw her mother in Keith. They have the same expression when they found something that interests them.

'Is that a trait that they got from that family?' She inwardly asked. Ever since knowing the Ricci family's existence, Anna has been curious about why they hurt an outstanding woman like her mother and Keith's mother.

Sometimes, Anna can't help but wonder what it would be like if they had not mistreated her mother in the first place. Would her mother be happier than she is now? Or would she become like them? Heartless.

'If that were to happen, my brother and I wouldn't be existing now. And I wouldn't be able to feel the love Kyle has towards me.'

"What are they doing outside?" Marcus has been watching Anna and the other from the window for a while now. From beginning to end, he saw everything. Based on what he saw, it seems like there was a heat going on between Kyle and Keith, and because of that heat, Anna got angry.

"I don't know, and I don't want to know, Father." The moment he heard that Kyle is here, he got more irritated than before. He is already annoyed that Keith will stick around for a while but think that the two people he is not happy to see are in the same place as he is not making him feel good.

Marcus sighed and asked, "For how long are you gonna oppose their relationship, Arion?"
