Chapter 59 - Clues About The Tree

"Holy Attribute…" Cyril repeated as he looked at the Elves in front of him.

It is common knowledge that items with the holy attribute can be used against a specific type of enemy.

It is either for purification or protection against evil or curse. They can also have healing properties but they wouldn't be as strong as the products made by apothecarists.

He was curious about the reason for them to be interested in these items but he dared not to pry too much.

'Well, we have only seen the small part of this land… Perhaps there are evil creatures or powerful curses deep inside…'

Cyril pondered. After all, it feels like this is not the only settlement of the elves.

They are calling this place Ylmashara Town in the first place so it probably means that there are other towns here. Aside from that, they aren't just calling this place the Elf Territory since they've mentioned a "nation" of some sort so his guess is probably correct.

Nevertheless, Cyril immediately agreed since their offer is quite acceptable. Since the Director has a way to get those numerous Magic Cores, purchasing some weak blessed or holy Artifacts and items should be within their capabilities.

'Those things are mostly Rank E or D Artifacts. However, there should be other sources like blessed items for a cheaper price… I guess it will work well for the Aeson Company.'

They then discussed a few more things about the details of their trade before they finally had a chance to know the name of the third princess.

"Princess Ava, I'm not sure how long it will be… It might take us a month before we can gather enough items to trade with your race…"

"That's fine. We are not in a hurry. However, we will appreciate it if you can do it faster. After all, we also need to study these items."

The princess said as she hinted that they haven't used any holy items yet. Well, Cyril understands that since he knows that elves can only use magic related to nature aside from runes.

"Rest assured, we will do our best. Right, just in case, have you heard anything about the Tree of Life?"

Cyril suddenly asked. It almost feels like a random question.

But at this point, the elves in front of them and the surrounding guards were visibly stunned at his question.

Silver and his group noticed the sudden change in the atmosphere of the room so they quickly looked at Cyril for an explanation.

However, the latter just stared at the princess.

Seeing that she's not answering and even started frowning, Cyril quickly added.

"We are just curious about it. If you don't mind, I can exchange the information about the Tree of Life with something that you might need."

Ava looked at the two female elves sitting beside her. They silently communicated with each other before they looked at Cyril.

"First, I would like to ask where did you get the information about the Tree of Life." The princess finally said after deliberating for a while.

Cyril already thought of what to say so he wasn't flustered at all.

"I understand. Of course, you have the right to know… In truth, we have discovered another Arcane World with elves inside it. Actually, I learned how to speak your language in that place. But I'm not allowed to say the details about that world… I can only tell that all my knowledge about the elves came from that land."

As soon as he said the first part, their eyes lit up as they nodded their heads… However, when he said that he can't share the details of the other elves with them, their excitement was obviously dampened.

Cyril had no other choice but to make up a story. After all, he wouldn't dare to say that he learned how to speak their language through the help of a demon. Especially now that they seem to be looking for a way to exterminate demons or devils.

"Other Elves in a different world, huh… That's interesting. Anyway, we only know a few things about the Tree of Life. We only know that it is existing in the Sacred Ground of the Dragons protected by numerous Magical Beasts… Then, we also heard that its fruit can extend a mortal's life. Unfortunately, only a few beings know their location."

Princess Ava explained. It seems that this information is common knowledge so she didn't bother asking for a fee.

"Yes… They are Kings and Queens of the Elves, Fairies, and of course, the Dragons."

Their conversation about the Tree of Life ended here as the princess refused to provide any more information about it or they are just really unaware of any more useful details.

Soon, they were allowed to leave the place so Cyril explained to Silver what was discussed except for the Tree of Life. He doesn't want them to be his competitor, after all.

Since they do not understand what he was discussing with the elves, he could just tell them any unrelated stuff and get away with it.

"Hahaha! Runes! Nature Magic! This is it! With these items, we can finally clear other chaotic mid-class Arcane World…" Director Staub celebrated as soon as he heard the result of their visit to the Arcane World.

Cyril could understand his happiness, the potential of runes even if they are at the lowest levels is immense. Especially now that there aren't many exceptional modified Artifacts yet.

But it wouldn't stay like that for long.

He can still recall that after a couple of years when the creation or modification of the Artifact had advanced, these low-level magic like Runes and Scrolls will become unpopular.

Right now, if the Aeson Company managed to create runes to enhance Artifacts and other items, it will at least become a hot subject for a while and generate profits.

"Here, Cyril… I know that you do not want to be contracted in our small company… However, we have a mutual relationship. Instead of being our employee, we will be treating you as our partner."

The director said as he gave Cyril a pouch of Magic Cores…
