Chapter 163 - Agreements

"Yes. That's the agreement." Albert nodded. "You can get stronger in this era and try to rule the continent again. While you're doing that, you're going to submit to me… I mean, her."

The salamander gritted his teeth. He obviously didn't like it, but he had used all the words to reject her.

At the same time, the latter allowed him to get stronger instead of suppressing him. Their status might change in the future.

Albert frowned and tilted his head in confusion. Even though he translated it for her, he was taken aback by the condition.

"It's fine. I have my discretions. Even if he gets stronger in the future, he won't be able to do anything much." Lilith shrugged.

Albert nodded and turned to the salamander. "How is it? Do you agree?"

"It's impossible for me to submit to anyone. But since you're strong like me, I can cooperate with you."

Albert told Lilith the salamander's words.

Obviously, his words made her frown. But she had expected this kind of result, so she added a few conditions.

"On three conditions."

"Tell me." The salamander nodded with a serious expression.

"First. You're a person of the Lust Kingdom and my words will be your priority. Even if you can rampage here and then, if such action harms the people of the kingdom or relation with other kingdoms, she will personally kill you."

The salamander opened his mouth, snarled. "What?! Kill me?"

Albert ignored him and continued translating him. "Of course. There's a war going on. If you go there, you should be able to fight some people. Just make sure you don't harm other people. Sooner or later, the scale will become bigger, so you can see the strength of the people in the current era."

When he heard the continuation, the salamander fell silent as the words were quite reasonable. And this war was just an opportunity for him.

"Alright. I can agree to the first condition." The salamander nodded, fully aware that such a war would last for a long time.

"The second condition is to give her the information about the past era, from the species to culture. And she's very interested in the reason why the entire continent was chaotic at that time. What kind of being attacked them?"

"I was in my slumber back then."

"Just tell her everything you know about the previous era."

"Fine. You also need to tell me about this era."

Lilith agreed to this condition by nodding her head.

"As for the last condition, you can't join any other influence. The moment you join them, she won't hesitate to bring all her people to hunt you down. Although the exchange was brief, there are at least seven people who are stronger than you. And if a team fights against you, there will be more of them in the future."

The salamander's expression turned grim when he heard the last condition. It was clear Lilith wanted to have sole possession of him.

But if he refused this deal, he would be killed.

'I can do much more in the future. I need to heal my body first.' The salamander thought and nodded. "Fine. I agree."

Lilith was satisfied with this exchange and clasped her hands, retracting all the magic she placed on him. With this, he was free to move again.

Albert took out his Bat while Lilith simply looked at him with a calm expression.

She simply had too many cards to play. The moment the salamander broke the agreement, her succubus would find out and report to her.

"Can you heal yourself?"

"I can. I just need time." The salamander nodded.

"She wants you to follow her to the nearest city, so she can call another healer to speed up the process. What do you think?"

The salamander fell silent for a moment.

However, their peaceful time was interrupted by a rumbling sound.

"Bam!"

*Rumble!*

*Rumble!*

The first loud boom shocked them as their hearts skipped a beat. But when the rumblings filled their ears, they realized what was going on.

All four of them turned their heads toward the volcano, seeing the mountain spewing out a huge amount of magma and rocks. The cloud of volcanic ash also rose to the sky.

"What the heck?!" Albert sucked a cold breath. "It erupts?"

"Not good. The elves live there!" Lilith's body trembled. When she was about to fly away to warn them, she stopped and turned to Albert, almost forgetting about him.

If she left him with the salamander, no one could predict what would happen. The worst-case scenario would be if Albert dies.

Imagining such a thing made her shiver. Hence, she ran to him and her hands circled around his stomach.

"Hang on. I'm going to bring you too!" As soon as she got a good grip, she flew away while shouting to the salamander. "You stay there. I'll be back soon. Just for your information, it's impossible for you to hide from me now that I know your existence."

Shella followed them while the salamander was confused by her action. As an overlord, he didn't know why Lilith would care about the small settlement. Even if they were wiped out, there wouldn't be a big impact on her country after all.

However, this just showed who Lilith truly was. It was one of the reasons why her people respected her.

She could drop everything and help others in need without hesitation.

On the other hand, Albert was observing the lava flow. That red glowing magma that gradually covered with minerals rushed to the bottom of the mountain. They would likely reach the settlement in just a few minutes.

"What are you going to do with them?"

"Who knows. First of all, we need them to survive." Lilith answered Albert's question. Her tone was genuine, proving his speculation about Lilith's character.

"I don't know how advanced the knowledge in this world is, but in my world, the common knowledge is to evacuate the area according to the size of the ash cloud as well as the wind. The lava is a threat too, but I don't think it'll flow that far. As long as we evacuate the forest, it should be fine." Albert explained the little knowledge he had.

"Is that so?"

"Yeah. If there's rain, it will mix together with the ash and become poisonous rain. Even if there's no rain, the ashes will fall down and cover everything on the ground."

"Thank you for that information." Lilith smiled. "Anyway, let's evacuate the elves first.. I'm going to speed up."
