30 First Appearance in Public

It has been a few weeks since Fan MeiLi and Li Wei signed the contract to be a fake couple, but nothing changed in their relationship. Fan MeiLi went on to be the CEO's personal assistant while keeping her personal life to herself, she was really grateful that Li Wei didn't ask of her anything too demanding. As the day was getting late, Fan MeiLi hurried to finish up her paperwork, thinking of a nice relaxing evening at home.

Just as she was packing up, Li Wei came out of his office and walked over to her desk. "Miss Fan, are you going somewhere?" Li Wei asked watching her grab her purse.

Fan MeiLi stopped what she was doing and looked at Li Wei in confusion, wondering what he meant.Seeing her stare at him like a lost sheep, Li Wei let out a sigh, "Did you forget I have to appear at business dinner with our partners from Japan?" He asked in a cold voice.

Even after hearing his question, Fan MeiLi was still really confused at what he meant by asking her this question. Of course, she knew about that business dinner with Mr. Mashiro and MIke Tachibana, she was in charge of setting everything up for tonight. With all the details complete she has given over the information to Mo Han since he still was the highest secretary to the CEO.

"Sir, I already given the information to Mr. Mo, it has everything you need for tonight. Is there anything else you needed from me before I leave for the day?" Fan MeiLi asked holding her purse, taking a quick glance at the elevator. All she wanted was to leave and have a relaxing weekend but the look her boss was giving made her think otherwise.

"You do remember that as of two weeks ago you were to become my girlfriend in the public eye, correct?" Li Wei asked lifting his brow.

Fan MeiLi started to get mad just hearing about that contract, even if she signed it she hated that it was against her will but calmed her emotion. Giving Li Wei a respectful smile, "CEO Li, I remember all too well about our little contract but what does that have to do with tonight."

"Well Miss Fan, tonight will be your first debut as the girlfriend of CEO Li Wei."

"What!"

"Come along, we only have a short amount of time and you'll need something more formal than what you have on for such an important dinner." Li Wei stated while walking toward the elevator.

Shocked by his words, Fan MeiLi hurried to catch up to him and got on before the elevator doors closed. While inside she looked at her boss, "CEO Li, why do I have to attend this dinner? It's a business dinner and most wouldn't take their girlfriends."

"Miss Fan, if you haven't noticed I'm not like most people. Also, I have a reason for everything I do so believe me when I say there is a reason why you are attending tonight." Li Wei stated getting off the elevator. Walking close behind him, Fan MeiLi figured she wouldn't be able to talk her way out and was sad that her relaxing night was ruined.

When Li Wei's car pulled up they both got inside and Fan MeiLi could only stare at her hands as the silence in the car was slowing killing up. Looking over at Li Wei, she wonders how he could be so calm when he was basically forcing his will upon her. After driving for a while, the car pulled up to a very chic boutique that was becoming a popular brand in China.

Li Wei grabbed Fan MeiLi and pulled her into the store when the shop owner saw the duo she already had the dress and accessories ready for Fan MeiLi. To say she was shocked would be an understatement, as she got ready she wondered how he knew her sizes.

Finished getting dressed and ready to impress, Fan MeiLi came out of the dressing room and stood in front of Li Wei who was waiting in the lobby. Seeing her Li Wei wasn't surprised at how beautiful she looked and was glad his money wasn't wasted. Paying for the whole set, Li Wei hurried Fan MeiLi back into the car and they went to the restaurant.

As they got closer to the restaurant, Fan MeiLi calmed her emotions and just kept repeating it was a simple role. It was not the first time she had to become someone else to help others, she also had hope that this role wouldn't be forever. Pulling into the restaurant's parking lot, Li Wei held Fan MeiLi's hand and gave her a cold and hard look.

"Miss Fan, when we walk out of this car, you are my girlfriend. You better remember your identity or you'll regret ever meeting me." He said looking into her eyes.

Fan MeiLi gave him an equally cold smile, "CEO Li, there is no need for worry, I'll do my best to show the world I'm the perfect girlfriend."

The driver who was also Li Wei's bodyguard, felt like he would freeze by the icy mood the two in the back was creating. Opening the door, Li Wei got out and led Fan MeiLi into the restaurant, when the two entered they looked like the most loving couple.
