Yasurouka's POV
I was walking towards the station while texting Koi. She lives in the complete opposite direction to me, so we couldn't even meet up at a place and then continue our walk to the station together from there.
I was wearing a full-sleeved white t-shirt tucked into my red skirt. My sleeves were folded, and I was wearing my light blue watch on my left wrist. I wonder how I look.
I was near the station, as the streets got filled with more people and the usual honking of cars near the station intersection. It was so loud, completely different from the neighbourhood I live in.
I could see the figure of Kizhashi standing beneath a tree on the sidewalk, surfing through her mobile. I was walking up to her; I noticed that she was wearing a cream coloured frilled shirt with some dark blue jeans. And her hair was tied in her usual ponytail.
She looked at me, and a smile formed on her face. Waving her left hand at me and while putting her mobile back in the pocket with her other hand. She was looking so cute.
"Hey, Reina-san." She smiled at me while carefully scanning me with her eyes.
"What? Am I looking bad?" I asked, catching her gaze on my outfit.
"No… you're actually looking quite cute." She said with surprise on her face.
"Me? Are you… you're the one who is cute." I retorted, as she was indeed. If I was a boy, I would definitely go after her.
"Ah, I expected this reaction from you." She chuckled.
"What? I'm not even kidding."
"Me too, Rei-chan." She emphasised on the 'chan' part with a cheeky smile on her face.
"Shut up." I sighed, knowing there was no end to our cycle of calling each other 'cute.' I wonder what Sakamaki would say if he saw me in this outfit. Nevermind, he would probably make some sarcastic comment about this.
"So where is this karaoke place?" I asked her.
"Just down the street. Let's go." She started walking, so I decided to follow her. I always follow her whenever we make plans to go somewhere because I'm not good directions.
Looking at her walking carefree in front of me as her ponytail was swaying side to side. I still remember how we became friends on the first day of high school.
I was sitting quietly as it was the first day and she just simply asked for a pen from me. I wasn't talking with her but still didn't want to appear rude, so I gave her an extra pen. I thought that she wouldn't talk to me after that, but it was the start of our friendship.
I found her to be annoying at first but with time; she became one of the closest friends I had. I could share most of my things with her without giving it a second thought.
Her presence in my life changed me a lot. I don't know if it was for the better or worse. I started looking up at her. She was like the perfect version of me I had inside my mind. She was cute, friendly, and collected, too. Though sometimes she becomes rash.
She also supported me a lot when I was at my lowest. After that, the guy chose someone else instead of me. Despite knowing that everything was my fault, she still supported me.
I talk with so many people; I have so many friends, but I was asked to name a friend upon whom I can rely on. Even though I have known Gaisen for a longer time, her name would be on the top. I'm really grateful to have a friend like her.
"Hey? Hey… you here?" She called me out as I was spacing out.
"Ye... yeah."
"Quit zoning out. We are not at your home right now." She scolded me, and I gave her a sheepish smile.
"My bad, jeez." I mumbled.
"Huh?" she asked with so much authority in her voice.
"Nothing," I replied as she narrowed her eyes at me suspiciously.
"Anyways, what's with this sudden plan?" I asked her.
She looked at me and said, "Ah, nothing really. It's the weekend, and from next week I'll have to study for the exams so I decided to freshen up my mood a bit."
"Ah… well, only the two of us would've worked too." I said, because I was completely against this plan of hanging out with their bitch group.
"Come on Reina-san, they are not as bad as you think they are." She said in a convincing tone and looked at me with a smile on her face. Well, if she is going to be like this, she might get in trouble someday.
"You're naïve, Koi," I sighed.
"No I'm not." She revolted with a pout on her face.
"That's what a naïve person would say."
"Ugh… why do you hate their group?" Well, if she wants to know it so badly, I will tell her my honest feelings. Albeit, it might end up making everything awkward between us.
"Have you seen how they talk to you?" I said, as I looked at her with a frown.
"What do you mean?" She shook her head slightly in confusion.
"Koi… you are so…" I couldn't finish that sentence as an unwanted voice interrupted us. I knew that voice very well.
"Kizhashi-chan" Uyeno called out her name with so much fake enthusiasm that even a dense kid could tell it was fake. She was wearing a red coloured cold shoulder top which revealed perfectly shaped collar bones.
"Ah, good evening Uyeno-san" Kizhashi nodded with a smile and then looked at me, expecting to do the same.
"Hello Uyeno-san, Isobe-san." I greeted them politely because I didn't want to go into an argument with them by revealing my genuine tone.
"Hello, didn't notice you there." Uyeno smirked at me. And Kizhashi asks me why I hate them.
I noticed a tall boy with light brown hair and dark-coloured eyes staring at Kizhashi from behind Uyeno. The blue t-shirt he was wearing fitted him nicely as his build was good near his chest area.
He opened his mouth and said, "Kizhashi-san, I thought you won't come since Seifuku-kun couldn't come."
"Areh, it's not like that. He is busy so I understand." Kizhashi replied to Haruka, who was Uyeno's boyfriend. I didn't know that boys were going to come on with this plan.
"Oh, by the way, this is my boyfriend Kichirou-kun." Isobe was holding the hand of a guy who was a bit shorter than Haruka. If I was to guess, then I would say he was as tall as Sakamaki. But he was definitely stronger than him, as I can tell by looking at his physique.
He was wearing a maroon coloured shirt, folded up to his muscular forearms, and the top two buttons near his chest were left open. His hair was also highlighted blonde in some spots. He was giving off delinquent vibes.
