Chapter 29：Reviving The Dead?

Yin Li take a menu book on the counter and went to the table at the outside of the restaurant.

He handed the menu to a group of woman which is he believe just returned from their workplace.

After he handed the menu, he went to the counter and take a water jug with him. With a polite manner, he pour the water and served it to all the ladies.

All of them smiling and giggling seeing him. He was the most handsome among the other waitress. He's a bit famous around the girl in that town when he move in.

When he put down a glass of water to one woman with a long and wavy hair, the woman said to him.

"You should put on ice on your wrist. It might reduce the lines." she smile a bit looking at him.

Yin Lin startle a moment. But then he plastered on a smile and said gently. "Thank you for advice."

She lift up his glass a bit before she continue to chat with her friend.

After taking the order, he went to the kitchen and pass the order paper.

His day was busy until he had no time to check on his phone nor check on his wife at home.

"Hey princess.. can I come over to your house now?" Zoro on the line just finish his annual meeting at his company.

"Sure, come over. It's been days since last I saw you." Athena just finish her gardening at the lawn. She has been stop her painting for a while since Aslan was always at home. She can't even go to her gallery with Aslan staying at home all day.

So instead of telling him, it's better to hide it from him.

"What? Have you been missing me while I was busy?" he laughing on the line.

"Haha..whatever, hey..buy me my sweet bun while you coming here will you?" she said as she brush of the sand on her hand and stand up. Walking to the sliding glass door, she side open the door and walk inside the house.

"Sure. What flavor do you want?"

"Erm..like usual..buy extra. My husband is home."

"Oh, he was there?"

Aslan turn to look at Athena who is on the phone. She went to the kitchen and wash her hand.

"Yup. He's here for hmm..I don't know how many days have pass."

"Urgh. I hate to see his face, but I don't have choice either. So, wait for me to come, okay?"

"Okay." she ended the call after that.

Aslan still look at her.

Seeing his question look, Athena said. "It's Zoro. He's coming over later."

"What business he has to come here?" he ask in a serious tone.

Athena take a sit beside him. "Anything that he delivered is usually are important. So..just deal with it."

Aslan turn silent. He still don't like that guy no matter what. Is it because he know that Athena and him had a relationship before, that he feel like that?

After almost 30 minutes pass, Zoro ring the bell house.

Normally he would just entered the house, but he know that she is now has a husband, so it would not nice to barge in into her house like the old days.

Aslan was the one who open up the door. He lift up his eyebrow looking at Zoro in front of the door..

"Is Athena home?" he start.

"My wife is home. What is the matter that make you come here?" he crossing his arm around his chest.

Smirking, Zoro said. "Seem like I'm more useful than you huh?"

"Hey guys, don't just standing there. Come inside." Athena suddenly interject them two.

Aslan look at Zoro who already smile winningly to him.

When Zoro walk into the house, he handed her a plastic bag with a sweet bun inside.

"Hmm..Yummy..thanks Z.." she said and went to the kitchen while the two of them went to the living hall.

Rummaging his bag, he take out a small controller and put a small device to Athena's television at the hall.

"Princess, come here. I wanna show you something." Zoro call out Athena.

"Wait up." she finally went to the living room with a plate full of sweet bun.

Aslan roll his eyes when he heard Zoro keep calling his wife 'Princess.' Even he himself didn't call her that.

Once Athena sit down, he turn into serious mode along with Athena.

"This is the details that I've been running for days. This is the Vandetta that you're looking for. He is one of the top mobster that control the technologies underground. Meaning, he owned a good weapon connected with the high tech equipment." he explain.

Aslan start to sit closely to Athena. Listening to their discussion.

"So, his motive for attacking me?"

Zoro use the controller in his hand to play the video.

Athena and Aslan turn to look at the screen.

There is a girl in a white room, they probably kidnap her, they tortured her and kill her after that.

One of the man bringing one tube that has a same color as her blood to the girl. He let the woman who just dead to swallow the liquid in the glass tube.

Suddenly the woman's body start to quivering heavily until she gasp for a moment. She open her eyes and she start to crawling. Asking for help. But only for a minute before she start shrieking and then…she didn't move again. They check her pulse, but she was dead.

After they watch the video. Athena's body start shivering. She clench her fist. Her retina start to change the color.

Seeing Athena seem uncontrollable, Zoro immediately turn off the television. Aslan also shocked with her sudden change..

"Easy..easy..I'm here..I'm here..cool down okay..I'm here." Zoro hugged her and make her face buried to his chest. He patted her back gently.

"Easy, princess..I'm here. We're safe right now." after he said that, Athena's retina turn to normal.

She inhale deeply and exhale it. Release the hug, he sit back at his seat.

"What was that?" Aslan ask curiously. He really didn't like with what he just saw.

Zoro shot him a look. "I tell you later." Athena grab Zoro's finger and look at him with a worried face.

"That's okay princess, if he can't handle it then let me take his place instead."

"Okay,stop flirting in front of me. She's my wife." Aslan yank her hand from Zoro.

Zoro put both of his hand on the air. "Okay okay..don't too harsh on her, or I'll beat you up later."

Aslan release Athena a bit, he whisper to her "I'm sorry."

"Okay, we continue again."

"They made a prototype which is similar to your blood. They used the same substance, but a different subject. The one who they inject it with is a middle age woman around her forties. She able to mutated just like you. But the only problem is, she died a few days after she got the injection. They use her blood and try on the subject that we saw earlier. So, that's the result."

"You're saying they want Athena's blood is for…reviving the dead?"

"Yes. Not only that. Your identity has been leak by someone. Your face is now are their target. I still don't find the identity of that person who leak out you information. So basically say, from now on, there will be a lot of fighting and losing more life than it shouldn't."
