Chapter 44：I’m Not Into You

After bathing and dressed up, Athena and Aslan went to the dining room.

The chef already prepared them a fancy dish. In the dining hall, the servants keep peeking at the two of them.

Athena noticing the gaze, but she acts like she didn't see anything and continue to eat her dinner.

She was hungry after all, she only eats her lunch before they go training and then all her energy has been drained out by Aslan. Not to mention they also 'do it' several times today since the morning, inside the bathroom and after the training.

She was in her own world when Aslan suddenly ask her.

"Athena..soon, there'll be Christmas..how about if we celebrate our Christmas in my parent's house? I want to introduce you to my other family."

"Huh? You have other families?"

"Yup." he nods his head.

He then continues again. "They are actually my parent's friends. They some kind of very very close with both of my parents. So since I was still a kid, every first Christmas they would come and celebrate with all of us. And every year too, I will get a gift from all of them."

"Mhm?"

"So, are you okay with celebrating Christmas with my family?"

Athena smile and nod.

Actually, Aslan birthday is on that month too. Athena is well aware of his birthday. When he brings up about the Christmas, she starts to think about what she should give him as the present.

Its only one month left before Christmas. So she should think it faster.

"Hi, good morning." Ralph greet Aurora in her section.

Aurora smile and reply back. "Morning."

"Collecting data again?" she asks.

"Yeah. Wanna help me searching the journal?"

Aurora looks at her hand which is still full with the book that she needs to put in the rack.

"Hmm...I can't right now."

"Here, let me help you put this book and you help me after that." he bent down and take two baskets in his hand.

Aurora wants to stop him, but he already walks away from her.

"Uh- hey!"

Ralph stop his pace and turn around to look at her.

"This way." she shows the right way to him.

While helping her, he couldn't help to feel curious about her. About why she was in this small city, working as a librarian and she wears something so simple. She is the Princess of Lee. She is at the same level as him.

"So Aurora, I can't help but wonder, why did you stay in this city? I mean you had a great mansion, your family is rich and you shouldn't have to work to earn a living right?" he glances on her while placing the journal to its place.

She giggling. "And what about you? You are the Prince of your country..why you choose to be the botanist? I mean you can just wait to be the King and run your own business. I heard your family is slightest richer than mine."

"Hmm..what so wrong with being the botanist? I like the green. I like to grow up a plant and study about them." he took another book from the basket.

Aurora takes the book from his hand and smiling to him. "The same thing with me..what so wrong with being the librarian?"

He chuckles. Not buying with her word.

"I don't believe your word."

"Suit yourself."

"So, dinner with me today?" he asks.

"Oh, no no. I want to return home early." she rejects him.

"I send you home after work?"

"Uh- I like to walk...exercising"

"Lunch with me?"

"Sorry. I can't."

"Wow..you directly rejecting me.." he smiles and chuckles.

Aurora also chuckle. "I'm married. So it's not nice to go out with another man behind my husband."

"I'm not asking you for dating though."

"Uh-huh? But you eagerly inviting me though."

"I want to know the reason. I have this habit that when I'm curious about something, I would find the answer until I satisfied. Really, I'm not into you." he assured her with a warm smiling.

Pinch her space between the eyebrow. She nod.

"Good." they continue to put the book into the bookshelves.

"Hey, Jess.."

"Hmm?" Jessica turns to look at Yin Li. They both walk home together.

"I think about your suggestion yesterday..and.."

"You agree?" she asks without waiting for him to complete his sentences.

"Maybe we can try. I mean, we're just doing it so that my monster wife will divorce me right?"

"Sure. So, you'll be dating me then.."

"Uh..but, your fiance…"

"Oh, don't worry..he will not be coming home for the next six months. He is somewhere in the sea I think."

"Are you sure he wouldn't find out? We just do it until my wife.."

"I get it..don't repeat it so many times.."

"And don't worry. It just our secret.."

"O..kay.."

Within a blink of eyes, it's already Christmas Eve.

Athena wrap up her present for Aslan and put into her bag. She secretly asks Zoro to invent something for her husband.

And Zoro is happily helped her. Even though he knew it's his rival present. But as long that can make her happy, he doesn't care even it's his rival's present. He likes to hear Athena's happy voice through the phone. It's showing that she is now happy.

It also has been a month he didn't see her. He also busies conducting his business and needs to go to a lot of places.

Not only him who is busy, but Aslan also starting to busy to stabilize his business. With his father-in-law help, his company revives from the red line to the green line back within just a few weeks. His stock market has been increasing and everything has started to fall to its place again.

The news that she watch this morning catch Athena attention. It's about Jye Yin who suddenly pass out behind her stage before her performance and have been treated at the hospital.

She is now already back from her tour and starts to live in Arendell back. She also makes an announcement that she will return to Imperial City the next year.

Aslan who already dressed up, wrap his arm around Athena's waist. He kisses her neck lightly.

"Ready to go?"

"Hmm. Yup."

"Let's go then."

He holds her hand and went to his sports car. All his servant have been released from their job a week ago. He let them have a long vacation with their family.
