Chapter 19 - Run For Your Life

Shadow and Mia were standing in front of a wall. The wall had many posters and announcements, but their eyes were glued on only one poster 'The night star academy examination '

" it says it will be held after two weeks " Mia said .

"That's just perfect for us , we can get stronger by killing more of the slums people " Shadow said

" I don't understand , why would you want to join an academy?" She asked

"To be honest with you I just want to have fun " he said

'I actually want to get the chance of competing with other people and get more Dominance points' he said inwardly

" if that's the case , we should prepare for the exam properly " Mia said with a smile

"Yeah i was thinking about the same thing" He chuckled and said .

" there is another thing i want to do before i join the academy " he said

" what is it ?" she asked as her curiosity was piqued

" follow me to see for yourself "

They were walking around Lanston city and people kept staring at them mesmerized by their dazzling looks . People looked at them with envy and lust. After Shadow's stats increased everyday his body was growing taller and his charm increased more . Mia's already beautiful figure turned upside down after her healing and advancing in cultivation , she now was absolutely the most beautiful girl Shadow has ever seen as she became well nourished, her bosom and butt were puffed and her slim waist coupled with her tall legs she resembled the figure of an hourglass . If it wasn't for Shadow's mentality getting used to his lust he would've long lost himself to his sexual urges .

They arrived in front of a big three story building which had the sign ' Laston haven'

It was a building that sold almost everything from pills to weapons and even techniques.

" it looks majestic compared to the other stores in the vicinity " Shadow said after he saw the interior design of the building.

It had glass counters on each side that showed multiple stuff for the people to see.

" welcome esteemed guests , how can i help you?" A beautiful woman in her twenties came to assist Shadow and Mia when she saw them enter.

' According to their looks , they must be from a noble family' the woman said to herself.

She thought that only powerful man/woman could give birth to such beautiful persons . As the powerful here can get the beauties and riches as much ad he/she wants .

" i want to a buy a space training field " Shadow said with a calm expression

The woman's happy expression widened in delight as she hit the jackpot today . After all not everyday people come to buy a space training field due to their expensive prices so they tend to go to the special facilities that allowed them to train in it for a specific amount of time that depended on their money.

" we have the best space training field that I'm sure will suits you, please follow me"

The assistant said happily

They went to the 3rd floor and were surprised by how much weird inventions were there .

" this world is developing so fast . Just in the past ten years , technology has soared to this level " Shadow said

" we have many kinds of space training fields with different shapes and merits , but seeing you too together I advise you with the double bed space field as it can be still full of energy for 1 day with 5 hours cool down." The assistant suggested

" we don't need that just give us two normal space field machines "

He said to her .

Shadow was about to pay 20 silver coins in total for the full set of the two machines , when the system resounded in his head

' the system can provide the host with a better equipment than that trash the host is going to buy'

Shadow was taken aback by the system's words

" why didn't you tell me that from the beginning?" He asked with raised eyebrows

' at this point the host should know that the system has and can do anything with the enough DP points . Besides you just never asked '

He was bewildered to hear the system's statement but after he gave some thought, he found it quite reasonable . After all the system was specially designed for him so it wasn't that surprising after all

' How much will it cost me to buy 2 machines?' He asked

' 5 DP for each one'

' it's that cheap?' He asked doubtfully

' It's just a space bracelet , it's in the bottom of value compared to the other things in the shop all of them would be at the peak of this world'The system said

' i guess I really underestimated the system' he said

" please give us a moment to think about which one is the most convenient for us after all this is something we're going to be using everyday " Shadow said to the assistant

" of course, of course, please take your time . I'll leave you two think about it for sometime " the assistant said before she hurriedly left them with a happy expression thinking that she was going to sell the double one which had a higher commission.

" let's go quickly " he said to Mia who was confused by his sudden decision

" run for your life " said Shadow as he run and left Mia there who panicked and dashed him.

They left the building and hurriedly headed home

" hah - hah - hah what's going on " she asked after panting for air .

" hehe i was actually just checking the prices and the quality of the machines out there compared to the ones i have which are much more advanced " Shadow lied shamelessly .

Mia squinted her eyes at him to be surprised by the two bracelets shadow took out of his storage ring

" what is this?" She said while stretching her hand to touch the bracelet

What she didn't know was Shadow's reaction at the moment was even more surprised than her

' don't tell me that these two bracelets actually have the same fiction and even better than those huge beds machines in the Laston haven shop' he thought to himself before he read the bracelets description

" the bracelets have the same features of those big bed machines, it will transport us to a separate space field where we can practice alone or join other people in different ways " he said to Mia surprising her even more

" unlike the bed machines out there , these bracelets have unlimited energy source so we will never have to take a break if we want and besides no one not even the inventor of this space machines can know our identity, location or any specific information that we're not showing. And my favorite feature is , we can even hide our faces behind a mask which is something undoable to others " he narrated to her what he was hearing from the system.

" what are you waiting for ? Let's dive in" he said
