Chapter 4

After feeling happy for the success of his hard work. He now wanted to explore the extent of his strength, as he felt that his body is full of vigor and energy.

"So this is the first level huh?"

Looking at his hands and arms which he thought is pulsating with power. With a sudden punch in air in front of him which made a 'shua' sound. A smiled blossomed on his mouth with a smug. As he bask in his own glory he suddenly he heard a grumble sound coming from his stomach, which awoke him from his haughtiness.

'He he… I guess I have spent a lot of time in here that I forgot to eat something. Hmmm… I think I can test my new strength outside, he he he'

He thought scratching his head with a smile.

In his excitement he forgot one crucial thing, he is in the middle of one of the most dangerous place in the land of Xi. Then with a thought, he appear outside.

The sun was high up in the sky, but its sharp rays cannot penetrate the thick cover of the giant trees. The place with which he is standing right now is a little gloomy, and a heavy atmosphere suddenly struck him.

Looking around, Shin Jiao can't help but notice something odd. The time outside seems to flow slow when he is inside the mansion. And then some information appear on his mind, one day outside is ten days inside the mansion. So with this he thought of many different possibilities and became more excited.

Showing a deep though he didn't seem to notice that from under a thick bush two eyes are watching him. Like a silent ghost the creature slowly moves closer to him. The green eyes without blinking watched Shin Jiao like a predator hungry for its prey. Then judging from the distance the creature suddenly burst out of the bush and leap toward the youth.

But with a 'pa' the creature fell on the ground lifeless with a small hole on its head and red blood slowly flows out. The creature appears to be a giant rabbit with long sharp claws on its paws. And grayish fur that seems like plastic needles covering it body. The creature is about the size of a normal house dog.

"This is one big rabbit. Ha ha, I feel like I can kill anything with this skill."

He smugly exclaimed.

At that time when the creature started moving towards Shin Jiao, he already noticed the creature. Although he didn't know what kind of predator is approaching him, he tried to stay calm though he felt scared and excited at the same time. While pretending to fix his shoe he picked up three small stones. He dared to gamble with his current strength and tried to copy what he saw in the movies in his previous life, where immortals kill their enemies by flicking stones on them stealthily.

So when he saw the creature burst out of its hiding place he moved and flicked one stone, but unknown to him, he unconsciously put spiritual energy in it which made the stone flew faster like a bullet that pierce the creature's head and killed it on the spot.

With his first kill Shin Jiao became ecstatic and quickly grab the rabbit like creature and send it inside the mansion with a thought. Then thinking of barbecuing it, he cautiously gathered some woods and dried leaves. In his life before, he served in the army so survival is already a part of himself. After gathering everything he disappear from where he stood and reappear inside the mansion.

After work the rabbit like creature was already cooked and the aroma of barbecued meat filled the air. Without further ado Shin Jiao devoured the meat, maybe because of his hunger or the smell of the meat, he let go of etiquette and just eat with relish until only bones are left. Then with bulging stomach he sits on the ground satisfied with his meal.

But then, all of a sudden he felt something warm flowing in his body, a very strong and raw energy which startled him.

'What is going on? Arrgh'

His body started to feel some pain all over. Then he decided to try and absorb he raw energy. While in a cross legged position he started to look inside his dantian and found out something.

The second sphere which is empty now contains a little amount of energy. He didn't know where or when he absorbed it but it's there. He was curious and would like to know how he got it, but because of the sudden burst of pain all over his body he decided to start absorbing the energies that rampages inside him. The raw energy already destroyed some of his blood vessels. If this continues his body will explode like a balloon. As he guided the raw energy to his dantian he was surprised how the spheres hungrily devoured them like a hungry beast.

Now he realize where he got the energy inside the sphere. Although the process took sometime but the raw energy that rampages inside his body slowly dissipate and then a third sphere appear which signifies his strength gaining another level.

After this bout of ordeal, Shin Jiao realized something. Energies from other creature can be absorbed by the spheres like an experience points in games. Eating food with spiritual energy can also make his level go higher.

Then he thought, 'what are these energies used for?'

With that question in mind he tried to flick a stone from his hand, but nothing happened. Although the stone flew far, but it doesn't have enough strength to puncture the hard skull of the rabbit. So he tried and remember the feeling he had at that time.

Then a light shown in his eyes as he discovered how to infuse energy in the stone, which when he flicked flew like a bullet to around 2,000 meters. Happy of his discovery he went and inspect his dantian and was amazed of what he saw.

An energy infused stone will cost him around 12 amount of energy. If the full amount of energy inside the sphere counts up to 100, he can only shot around 8 times per sphere. With that in mind he became happy, so as long as he grows stronger the more sphere he has in his dantian the more energy infused stones he can use.

Now he wanted to hunt outside more so that he can improved faster but then all of a sudden he realized that he is not in a safe place. Waking up from this realization he broke out in cold sweat. What if he faced a really strong monster that time, he would have wasted his second chance in life. He thanked his lucky star that it was only a giant ferocious clawed rabbit.

The forest of Demon Greens doesn't know the words peace, as howls of demon beast and clashing of metal and grinding rocks always tore through the silence. In the middle of this forest a shadow lurks atop a tree, watching in silence as he trying to find a prey, then from the corner of his eyes he saw a ferocious clawed rabbit who is cautiously roaming the thick bush.

All of a sudden a flash of light and a soft thump can be heard, as the ferocious clawed rabbit lay lifeless on the ground with a stone size hole on its head. The shadow quickly rushed and picked up his prey and disappear in thin air.

In the mansion Shin Jiao appear after killing and taking the ferocious clawed rabbit.

For a couple of days he diligently cultivate inside the mansion, sometimes going out to hunt some ferocious rabbits which are abundant in the area.

And slowly but surely raised the spheres in his dantian up to 5.
