Chapter 5

With 5 spheres in his dantian brimming with power, Shin Jiao held a jade slip with an inscription that reads "Crafting basics".

He concentrated his energy and inject it to the jade slip which suddenly glows. Then a lot of information suddenly flows in his mind like a gushing river that bombarded his consciousness, because of information overload he passed out.

After sometime Shin Jiao opened his eyes and muttered with heavy breathing.

"Ugh, What happened?"

He remembered that he passed out because of the huge amount of information that he just received. As if hungry for knowledge, even though he knows that the information is too huge for his brain for the process, but still he continued to absorb one jade slip at a time and passing out every time he absorbs one. After one day he already absorbed all the knowledge contained within 10 jade slips which comprises on teaching him how to craft basic artifacts.

To his amazement he felt very familiar with basic crafting as if he already experienced doing the things that he learned first-hand. Then he decided to do something.

"Let's try to make something then." Shin Jiao excitedly muttered to himself with a grin.

Looking around his surroundings he found some stones that he used for hunting. Then he visualized in his mind a crude stone knife according to the instruction. And he focused all 5 types of energies in some special points on his fingers which started to have a faint glow. Although is contains all types of energy the glow is green because of the earth attribute of the materials used. The glow will depend on the material he is using. But if different types of materials are used different color will also manifest.

Though he already know what to do Shin Jiao still took a while to get used to control the energy in his body. Then the stones melts as if it turned into a lava and slowly combined and takes the form of the thing he had envisioned. After cooling it regain its original stone color but now it's in the form of a short knife.

"Ha, ha, ha! It's a success! Now that's beautiful stone knife." Shin Jiao proudly exclaimed while wielding and brandishing the knife around.

"So this is how this crafting technique works, literally I can use any materials under the heaven to make anything I can think of. Ha, ha, ha…"

Then a realization hit him, "I can make those modern things from my previous life, but I have to be low-key about it, or else trouble will arise."

"This is just the crafting basics, now let's see what the other jade slips has."

He picked up a jade slip which says 'basic artifact enchantment'. And his eyes lit up, idea formed in his mind of the possibilities that he can gain from the rest of the remaining jade slips.

As he was about to try and absorb the information in the jade slip, he felt a pang of pain inside his body and suddenly felt really weak.

"What is happening?" He checked his dantian and found out that the energy in the spheres are almost empty.

"Because of the excitement I forgot that every time I absorb information and craft things I spend my energy. I guess I need to cultivate and try to add more spheres in my dantian."

He quickly get on with it and start replenishing his used energy by eating some of the leftover demon beast meat that he have. Sometime later he stopped as he already absorb all the raw energy, checking his dantian he can see that only 2 spheres were filled.

"I think this is enough for now, I need to get some more food." He though and quickly got out of the mansion space.

The darkness of the forest is a little creepy with howls and growls of demon beast being heard every now and then. Although it's dark, but because he is already at 5 spheres his senses are sharper and he can see a little clearly in the darkness.

"This is really cool, now let's hunt. He, he, he"

Shin Jiao's face showed excitement and eagerness as he carefully wade through the thick bushes of the forest. Like a silent shadow spreading his senses all over trying to make sure to not to miss anything that might bring him danger.

After sometime he sensed an animal inside a bush. But he felt alarmed because he catches a whiff of the smell of blood which permeated the air. This means that something happened inside that bush.

Shin Jiao quickly decided to stealthily jump up the tree to keep the creature from detecting his presence. Now that he is in a vantage point, he can clearly see the clear picture. Not far from the bush lays a large wolf like creature with black fur, enjoying it prey, a large fierce rabbit. The cracking of bones and munching sound showed the carefree attitude of the demon beast. Maybe because of its hunger or the scrumptiousness of the food it is eating that the black wolf like creature have its guards down.

Seeing this situation a smile broke through Shin Jiao face.

Pinching a stone between his thumb and the middle of his index finger Shin Jiao quickly imbued it with his energy and flicks it with all his might.

The stone flew like a bullet toward the head of the demon beast. Although the beast had its guard down it still grew and lived in this dangerous forest so its senses still detected the killing intent of Shin Jiao and moved its head quickly, but still the stone lop off one of its ears. Upon seeing that the stone missed the head, he quickly flicked another stone, but this time the large black wolf is on guard and upon seeing the human atop the tree shooting something from his hand, it moved out of its trajectory.

When Shin Jiao saw this a sudden desire filled his heart to make the speeding stone curve towards the beast. Although he was not hopeful that it will happen but in his mind he thought it would be cool though. Suddenly a weird thing happened, the stone curved and flew towards the evading demon beast's lower neck which after hitting the stone blew up into a pulp.

'What was that… I didn't think I can do that… ha.'

He was bemused of his new found discovery of this skill. But he have no time to do so as the wolf still lives and already discovered his position.

"Let's finish this…"

The black wolf was in pain as blood slowly gushed out of the hole in its lower neck without stop. The wolf wanted to growl but because of the hole in its neck it can't.

Looking up it saw a human leaping down from a tree behind it. This despicable human ambushed it while it's enjoying its meal. This made the black wolf mad and angrily dashed towards the human who sneaked attack it, baring its fangs and brandishing its claws.
