125 CHAPTER 125: A MOTHER’S LOVE 1

She left the hospital with a defeated glow. She can't believe that the CCTV cameras haven't caught the culprit for the bomb explosion. The management says that the culprit knew what he was doing. Aisha didn't acquire any helpful information that may give her tip as to who did it.

She was able to iron out her problem with the Hayato but another enemy comes without any prior notice. Could Silver be behind the explosion? Maybe but she's not sure.

"Aisha!" She heard a male voice from behind. She jerked.

"Ethan! Sophie! I thought you're with the others?" She faced them.

"Everyone's looking for you." Ethan got off the car. "So how did it go? did you find anything?"

Aisha shook her head. "The location of your car doesn't have any CCTV camera."

"The Culprit is smart. Have you talk to the police in charge of this case?" Sophie nudge.

"I'm about to."

"Then what are you doing? Let's go." Ethan got inside the passenger seat at Aisha's car.

Then they drove to the police station.

"Mr. Ethan, thank you for dropping by. We're about to call you regarding the bomb case." The Chief of police welcomed him inside his office. Aisha and Sophie decided to wait for Ethan at a nearby coffee shop.

"Do you know who caused the explosion?" Ethan probed.

"Unfortunately, we don't have any lead yet. the work was done neatly. No evidence was left. Do you know someone who could do this to you?"

"As you know chief I have a lot of enemies. But I don't have a particular person in mind."

"Then finding the culprit might be hard for now. but Mr. Williams, rest assured that we will continue to work on this case. In case you receive any death threats in the coming days, please let us know."

"I will chief." Ethan shook his hand, stood up then went out.

"How did it go?" Aisha asked.

"Negative. The Chief doesn't have any other information. The culprit was very good." Ethan sighed.

"Then we don't have any information if the bomb is for you or for me." Aisha stared at Ethan full of concern.

Ethan tried to comfort Aisha. "It doesn't matter who's the main target. As long as we're together, then we can face anything that comes our way. Didn't we promised to do everything together?"

"Ehm. Sorry I forgot." Aisha smiled.

"Ah… I don't think I'll gonna get used with this kind of romance." Sophie scowled.

Aisha chuckled. "Shut up Sophie. as far as I know you slept at Hunter's house last night." she teased her.

"Shhh! How did you know? Did Hunter tell you?" Sophie made a face.

"No, but your shirt this morning speaks it all, ha-ha!"

"It was just a mere coincidence." Sophie crossed her arms. "Nothing more, nothing less."

"Don't you want to talk to Hunter? Don't you want to clarify everything?" Aisha became serious.

"There's nothing to talk to. Besides, he is flirting with someone already." She sipped her coffee.

"Are you sure about that?" Ethan interrupted. "As a man, the way he looks at you means there is something. you should talk about it before everything's too late."

Sophie shrugged off their advices. "That's not important anymore. Let's just focus with the most important matters for now."

Ethan and Aisha looked at each other then they sighed. Seems like she doesn't need help at all.

*** Stacy opened her eyes and notice that she's inside an unfamiliar room. this isn't her room at all. she sat down and looked around the room. The last thing she remembered was that she collapsed when she drunk the confetti that was serve.

Cucumber! Her eyes widened. She was about to stand up but she fell back. She caresses her head. It's kinda painful. She sighed. Is she stupid not to notice that she drunk a cucumber lemonade? She scolded herself.

Then she remembered her dream. Mom! She whispered. But seems like it was so good to be true. She can't be wrong. She felt her mother's touch, her mother's presence! Maybe Mom had visited from heaven. She sneered.

"Mom, we'll be seeing each other soon." A tear escaped from her eyes. After a few minutes, she went out the room and took the stairs down. she can hear some people talking. She followed the chatters and it led her in the kitchen.

They all stared at her surprisingly.

"Stacy!" Sherry stood up with a big smile and walk to her. "Come! Join us." She held her hand and pulled the chair beside her. Stacy was taken aback.

Stacy gazed at the woman preparing her meal, placing some food in her plates. Why is she doing this? She's acting weird. Stacy raised a brow. She's acting as if she's the mom.

"Go on, eat. You need to stuff yourself. look how petite you are." Sherry jokingly uttered. Stacy looked at the two men sitting opposite them. Johnny and Silver were both looking at them intently.

"T-Thank you. but you don't have to do this." Stacy was a bit reluctant.

"Don't worry, it's okay. I just remembered my daughter in you. If she is still alive then she must be the same age as you." She smiled gently but sadness can still be heard in her voice.

"I'm sorry. My condolence Miss Sherry."

"That's fine. Come on let's eat." Sherry faced Silver and Johnny with a cheerful face.

Silver can't believe the happiness that he is seeing at Sherry's eyes. This is the first time that his wife was smiling alluringly.

FLASHBACK:

Earlier, when Sherry asked if Emily is really dead, he stood firm. Then he saw Sherry's eyes landed on Stacy lovingly. he thought of a great idea.

"Sherry, I understand how you're feeling about our Emily, but we can't bring her back anymore. But I'm sure that there are other people whom you can channel your love, like Stacy."

Sherry was startled at Silver's words. "What do you mean?"

"Sherry, Stacy is an orphan kid. I saw her at an orphanage when I accidentally visited a friend before. She was so sick that everyone in the orphanage thought that she'll die due to her heart problem so I took her and did my best to find the best doctors that could help her. Glad that she lived." Silver stared at Stacy.

"Why did you took her? and why didn't I know about her?" Sherry have doubts.

"We lost our Emily that time and when I saw her, she reminded me of our child. She also had the same name with your daughter before. I took her but I need to leave her to Robert because I need to concentrate on you." Silver sighed.

Silver was relaying the things that had happened before.

"I need to leave her to Robert because her doctor needs to monitor her health status weekly. You know I needed to take care of you that time, right?" Silver continued.

Sherry lowered her head. "What happened to her real parents? Did you try to find them?"

"I did, but her parents died in a car accident." She walked near the window and closed the red curtains.

"She grew up without a mother. Although she doesn't speak about her mother often, I know that she's been longing for a mother's love." Silver continued.

"Do you think you can show her or let her experience how it is to have a loving mother?"

Sherry's heart suddenly jumped upon hearing the word mother's love. Of course she loves too!

"But how about Ethan? Isn't he your enemy? Do you think he will allow Stacy to get near us? Besides, Stacy hates me and I don't know why." Sherry dropped her hopes but Silver smirked.

"Sherry, you need to know something." Silver held her shoulders. "But promise me that you will try to understand everything no matter how complicated it is."
