Chapter 166 - Wasn't That Just A Hoax?

"That's good to hear. Now, Xanie, I want you to listen closely to what I have to say. This is important," Hecathe gulped as he spoke with a serious tone.

"What is it, Captain?" Xanie asked and worry in her tone could be clearly sensed.

"Orgon is still alive."

"What?!" Xanie's shocked response came soon enough.

"You must have heard about the rumors as well, right? That Orgon is currently in the body of a young man?" Hecathe asked with a small frown that Xanie could naturally not see.

"Captain, wasn't that just a hoax?" Xanie asked with great interest and disbelief.

"I saw him," Hecathe sighed as he lied without any guilt, "He came to the illegal auction house."

"..." The girl was left a little speechless as she heard this but Hecathe didn't mind this wordless response as he continued.

"The three willows of spring seem to be somehow connected to him," Hecathe added and this was yet another lie, "They fabricated his death and framed it on me because they wanted to take Ocasia."

"What the...?" The girl could not understand what Hecathe was saying and even if she did, she found it a bit hard to believe. As Hecathe heard this response from her, he could almost imagine the girl frowning with her eyebrows creased together in worry and confusion.

"That's right, everything that happened till now has all been an act," Hecathe spoke as he continued, "The three willows of spring are trying to take control of this place and they plan to do it through Orgon."

"Captain... There's no way those three cowards would try something like that...? If they do something like that, they would be inviting a war," Xanie spoke in an almost muttering manner as if she was trying to convince herself that Hecathe was perhaps mistaken somehow.

Hecathe smirked as he heard this question and responded without missing a beat, "That's why they tried to get me out of the way. If I'm no longer there, who would be controlling the mecha-suits?"

"..." Xanie was even more shocked as she heard this and when she thought about it a bit, the girl could feel that Hecathe's words made sense.

"It was all planned beforehand. They are trying to put an end to the mecha-suits once and for all," Hecathe spoke with a sigh.

"Captain... Where are you right now?" Xanie asked and Hecathe could clearly tell that the girl was really worried for his wellbeing.

"I'm in Zeblor," Hecathe lied yet again, "They know it too and it's only a matter of time before they capture me."

"Captain, get out of there immediately! How can you be so careless?!" The girl scolded the man as she spoke angrily, "Didn't you go to Ocasia to enjoy your freedom?! Why would you go to Zeblor?"

Hecathe chuckled softly as he heard the girl, "Xanie, they are after me. It doesn't matter if I'm in Ocasia or Zeblor. They won't be letting me go that easily. As long as I'm alive, I'll be a threat to them and a threat always needs to be removed."

Xanie was silent for a few minutes before she sent a response, "Then you shouldn't have left on your own. You didn't even taken your mecha-suit with you. How are you going to defend yourself?!"

Hecathe didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard this. He was sure that Xanie had trust in his abilities but at the same time, it was clear that the girl didn't know just how powerful Alphius's ability was and hence, she naturally thought that the three willows of spring were stronger than him.

"Xanie, this is not why I contacted you today," Hecathe sighed as he spoke, "I contacted you because I might need your help."

"What can I do?" Xanie asked and patiently waited for Hecathe to speak.

"Orgon has bought the illegal auction in Ocasia and by next week, he'll be taking over the city. The three willows of spring know that I'm in Zeblor but they are trying to keep it a secret. By next week, I am sure that I will get caught and if I get caught, another trial is going to take place. If there is another trial then I might not be able to make it so we need to do everything we can in order to prevent it."

Xanie's eyebrows forrowed together as she heard this but she said nothing as she waited for Hecathe to complete.

"I want an army of mecha-suits to be sent to Zeblor. Next week on Friday," Hecathe ordered and the girl listened carefully to him, "Send all the generals and their soldiers. If they ask for a war then we give them a war."

"You want them all to come...?" Xanie asked, feeling a little complicated about this.

"Xanie, do you like it when I repeat myself?" Hecathe asked sarcastically, "I want them to be there. All of them."

Xanie gulped as she heard this and nodded her head before she asked, "Then I guess you would also need your mecha-suit?"

"Send it over just in case," Hecathe responded with a small chuckle.

"Got it, Captain," Xanie responded almost immediately.

"Tell the army to contact me through the QMS once they arrive in Zeblor."

"Okay, Captain. I'll do that."

Hecathe smiled in satisfaction as he heard this response and he got ready to close the QMS, but it seemed that Xanie had one more thing to say.

"Captain, take care of yourself."

"..."

Hecathe said nothing to that and closed the QMS with a sigh.

If everything went as planned then Hecathe could successfully kill Asgarian and with that done, he hoped to complete the favor that Alphius wanted from him.

Once the favor was done, he planned to leave this world and go back.

However, if he was still not able to leave this place even after all this then he was going to make sure that he took extreme measures to go back. It didn't matter if those extreme measures meant the death of this world or his own death. He was going to do everything he can to go back because this wasn't his world and he was done enjoying his time here.

Hecathe walked back to the apartment where he had promised to talk to the landlady.

Since Hecathe had sent Marvin and LeiLei out on a mission, the apartment was empty and the landlady was the only one inside.

"Why is that I haven't seen Zail in a long time?" Hecathe casually asked with a small sigh.

"He's busy with work," The landlady informed with a smile as she sat on the dining table and patiently waited for Hecathe.

Hecathe could clearly sense the anticipation and so, he decided not to waste time on idle talk.

"I talked to her," Hecathe spoke and the landlady looked to be a little surprised as her eyes widened ever so slightly and her smile deepened.

"How is she?" The landlady asked enthusiastically as she leaned in forward.

Hecathe walked forward and casually took a seat on the opposite side of the table before he looked straight at the woman and answered, "She is doing good. There's nothing to worry about her."

"Is that so?" The woman asked with a small frown as she tilted her head, "Are you sure about this?"

It seemed that the woman was not really happy with the answer given by Hecathe.

Hecathe clicked his tongue as he closed his eyes and shook his head, "She said that she doesn't want to deal with you anymore."

"Eh?" The landlady was left a little confused before she asked, "You told her about me?!"

Hecathe nodded his head without any hesitation as he confirmed it and spoke, "She asked me and I told her the truth. We never agreed to keep your identity a secret, did we?"

"..." The landlady didn't say anything but from the expression on her face alone, it was clear that she was not happy to hear this.

"I wonder why you're so interested in a person that doesn't even want to be remotely related to you...?" Hecathe tilted his head as he spoke in a questioning manner and the landlady immediately diverted eye-contact which only made her seem more suspicious.

"It has nothing to do with you."

"She told me that you had a daughter," Hecathe suddenly spoke and the woman seemed to have flinched as she heard this.

"S-She lied to you," The landlady stuttered as she spoke but it was clearly a lie.

Hecathe chuckled drly as he shook his head and firmly stated, "No, you're the one that's lying right now."

"..."

"I'm not a person who likes to poke my nose into other people's business but this time, it seems a bit interesting so I want to know," Hecathe spoke with a small smirk as he asked, "Just who is this daughter of yours?"

Hecathe didn't mention anything about Zather lying to him about her being this woman's daughter simply because he knew that it was a lie.
